  • MySQL Connector Linker Problem

    Hey, I'm trying to compile a program with the MySQL C++ Connector but somehow I can't get the linking right. The errors I get are: mysql/lib/libmysqlcppconn.so: undefined reference to `std::ios_base::ios_base()@GLIBCPP_3.2'.... etc locations: libmysqlcppconn.so: mysql/lib/ libmysqlclient.so: /usr/lib/ I tried to follow the tutorial on mysql and some other pages but the results where the same, maybe I missed something.

(Head First Java 2nd Edition, p.516) So, what is about it? Is there a way to catch deadlock case in Java? I mean, is there a way that our code understands a deadlock case occurred?

    According to SICP section 1.2.6, exercise 1.22: Most Lisp implementations include a primitive called runtime that returns an integer that specifies the amount of time the system has been running (measured, for example, in microseconds). I'm using DrScheme, where runtime doesn't seem to be available, so I'm looking for a good substitute. I found in the PLT-Scheme Reference that there is a current-milliseconds primitive. Does anyone know if there's a timer in Scheme with better resolution?

    Hello, Im doing something like that: var results = from d in myDocument.Elements().Descendants("myName") select d; foreach (var result in results){ if (sth...){ result.replace(myXElement); } } The problem is that when I replace an element I cant iterate to the next element cause there is null reference. (var result in results). Is there any other way to replace that element with another one and still be able to iterate through that document ? thanks for help

    I have an SL3 application that needs to be able to pass an image to the server, and then the server will generate a PDF file with the image in it, and display it to the user. What I already have in place are the following: (1) Code to convert image to byte array (2) Code to generate PDF file with image The main problem that I am running into is the following: In order to bypass the pop-up blocker, which is a requirement for my application, I am using the following code: var button = new NavigationButton(); button.NavigateUri = new Uri("http://localhost:3616/PrintReport.aspx?ReportIndex=11&ActionType=Get&ReportIdentifier=" + reportIdentifier.ToString() + ""); button.TargetName = "_blank"; button.PerformClick(); Initially, I would pass the image to a WCF web service (as a byte array), and then "navigate" to the ASP.NET page that would display the report. However, if I do this, then I can not use my custom HyperlinkButton class, and, certain browsers, including Safari, will block a new window from opening up. Therefore, it appears that the only option is to use the HyperlinkButton class. What I need to be able to do is to somehow pass the image, as a byte array or some other data type, to the server, such that it can temporarily store the image, even if it is in a server variable, and then immediately retrieve it when I navigate to the PrintReport.aspx page. If I upload the image to an ASP.NET form and then use the HyperlinkButton class to navigate to the PrintReport page, it doesn't work, as the app navigates to the PrintReport page before the system has finished uploading the image. I can't pass it to a web service, as that would require that I navigate to the PrintReport.aspx page in the callback code of the web method that I would be passing the image to, and the HyperlinkButton will not allow that, based on security rules. Any help or ideas would be appreciated. Thanks. Chris

I make a request to get an structure (method getStructure), and it worked.     Is there a service that provides latitude and longitude for UK phone numbers? For example: Query: 0141 574 xxx, Returns: (55.8659829, -4.2602205) [Glasgow City Centre] Allow me to stress that I am not looking for a reverse-directory-enquires. I am more interested in 'local area' for things like weather by phone or "Where's my nearest Pizza Shop?" If this service doesn't exist your suggestions on how to implement it or where to get data from would also be incredibly useful. I am aware that Ofcom provides a list of area codes with a place name [1] suitable for geolocation, but I have my concerns about resolution. I see this as a particular problem in smaller towns and rural areas where an area code will cover a large geographical area. Second Example: Area Code: 01555, Ofcom: Lanark However: 01555 860xxx is Crossford (4 miles W of Lanark) 01555 77xxxx is Carluke (5 miles NW) 01555 89xxxx is Lesmahagow (5 miles SW) 01555 840xxx is Carnwath (7 miles NE) Therefore 01555 covers about ~80 sq miles.   • Using $.get with jquery validation

    I'm trying to use the Jquery builtin validator on my page. The issue is that I have certain fields that only are required if the JobID (entered into another field) does not already exist in our database. I have a simple service which simply takes JobID and returns True or False based on whether the JobID exists, but I can't seem to get this information where I want it. However, I now have access to a service using the URL: var lookupurl = "/deposits/jobidvalidate/?q=" + $("#id_JobID").val() + "&t=" + new Date().getTime(); which is a page which will contain just the word True or False based on whether that given JobID exists. I've tried half a dozen different ways of setting variables and calling functions within functions and still cannot get a way to simply return the value of that page (which I've been trying to access with $.get() ) to my validator, so that required is set to true when the Job does not exist and false if the job already exists.   • Efficient code to avoid circular references in c# object model

    I have an excel like grid where values can be typed referencing other rows To check for circular references when a new value is entered, i traverse the tree and create a list of values referenced thus far, if the current value is found in this list, i return an error thus avoiding a circular reference. This is infrequent enough where extreme performance is not an issue but... Question - is there a better way ? I'm told it's not the most optimal but no answer was provided so on to the experts @ SO :)

If I set that web reference to 'localhost', some calls fail with this exception: System.Web.Services.Protocols.SoapException: Server was unable to process request. --- System.Net.WebException: Unable to connect to the remote server --- System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it If I set it to the actual machine name, it works.   • How to disable auto-generated WCF configuration

    Every time my program runs vs adds the default configuration to my app.config file. At that run it works fine, but at the next run it actually tries to read the config. The problem is that the default configuration has errors, it adds the attribute "Address", but attritbutes are not allowed to have capitals so it throws an exception. This means I have to remove the bad section every run! I've tried to configure the .config but it gives errors.     Hello If I have a method like this: public static String convertDateTimeToString(DateTime dt) { return dt.getDate() + " " + dt.getTime(); } Which takes a Datetime object of my own which contains a Java.sql.date and a Java.sql.time, what is the best way of reversing the process so that I can substring a Java.sql.date and a Java.sql.time from a string?     Hello, I have a strange behaviour when autowiring I have a similar code like this one, and it works @Controller public class Class1 { @Autowired private Class2 object2; ... } @Service @Transactional public class Class2{ ... } The problem is that I need that the Class2 implements an interface so I've only changed the Class2 so it's now like: @Controller public class Class1 { @Autowired private Class2 object2; ... } @Service @Transactional public class Class2 implements IServiceReference<Class3, Long>{ ... } public interface IServiceReference<T, PK extends Serializable> { public T reference(PK id); } with this code I get a org.springframework.beans.factory.NoSuchBeanDefinitionException: No matching bean of type for Class2. It seems that @ Transitional annotation is not compatible with the interface because if I remove the @Transitional annotation or the "implements IServiceReference" the problem disapears and the bean is injected (though I need to have both in this class). It also happens if I put the annotation @Transitional in the methods instead of in the Class. I use Spring 3.0.2 if this helps. Is not compatible the interface with the transactional method? May it be a Spring bug? Thanks
