• problem in loading images from web

  hi, I am new in android and had developed an app which get images from the website and display it. I got it working in emulator but not in real phones. In some device, it will crash or take very long loading period. Can anyone please help me or guide me in improving it as i'm not sure whether the way i loads the images is correct or not. • upgrading to worpdress 3.5 erased all posts and pages, wiped database

  So I have upgraded to wordpress 3.5 and that seemed to have erased all posts and custom post types, media images, sliders etc' I have made a backup using both pressbackup and backupbuddy but when I try to restore the database (or everything). when it is done, if I look at the front end, everything is back and looks great but then when I go to the back end it says the database needs to be upgraded and doesn't let me bypass that. if i click ok it prompts the following message and after that everything is wiped again: WordPress database error: [Table 'db446353270.wp_categories' doesn't exist] SELECT * FROM wp_categories ORDER BY cat_ID WordPress database error: [Table 'db446353270.wp_post2cat' doesn't exist] SELECT post_id, category_id FROM wp_post2cat GROUP BY post_id, category_id WordPress database error: [Table 'db446353270.wp_linkcategories' doesn't exist] SELECT cat_id, cat_name FROM wp_linkcategories WordPress database error: [Unknown column 'link_category' in 'field list'] SELECT link_id, link_category FROM wp_links please advise. • How to perform bulk update using rails admin

While inspecting the link, it displays the following: onclick="jQuery('#bulk_action').val('bulk_add_to_categories'); jQuery('#bulk_form').submit(); return false;" But when I click on it I get this error. I need to do something like this I need to have an separate UI for all the products that have came from that bulk action, and then put them into the selected categories, but I am not able to do that. Can anyone help me on this? Any help would be great. I have seen lot of tutorial and read the rails admin github page but I was not able to find anything helpful. Please guide me.

  Hey folks, i'm using the jQuery UI datepicker instead of the <g:datePicker>, which is changing the selected date in a textbox. Now I want to save this neatly back into my database, and came across custom property editors. click me hard to see the topic on StackOverflow However, adding this custom PropertyEditor didn't change anything, dates are still displayed like '2010-01-01 00:00:00.0' and if I try to save a date it crashes with Cannot cast object '05.05.2010' with class 'java.lang.String' to class 'java.util.Date'. Is there any additional magic needed, like a special naming of the textbox or something like that? Thanks for your help, Jan

• How will a search engine read data from my Ajax-based webapp?

  OK, not entirely related to programming, so I'm sorry. But I'd like to know about this: So I've got a webapp. There's one column where a list of results are fetched from the database. When you click one, jQuery fetches the information associated with that result and puts it into the second column - all without a refresh and using Ajax. Is it possible for Google to still read it etc.? I understand it can follow links... but presumably not Javascript actions etc.? If this is the case, what do other Ajax-heavy websites do about search engine optimisation? Jack

• Dynamically add files to visual studio deployment project.

  I've been desperately looking for the answer to this and I feel I'm missing something obvious. I need to copy a folder full of data files into the TARGETDIR of my deployment project at compile time. I can see how I would add individual files (ie. right click in File System and go to Add-File) but I have a folder full of data files which constantly get added to. I'd prefer not to have to add the new files each time I compile. I have tried using a PreBuildEvent to copy the files: copy $(ProjectDir)..\Data*.* $(TargetDir)Data\ which fails with error code 1 when I build. I can't help but feel I'm missing the point here though. Any suggestions? Thanks in advance. Graeme

  I'm trying to build my first website from scratch. I mocked up the design in Photoshop, and have been trying to convert into code for a few hours. But I haven't got far. In fact, I'm stuck on the header's navigation bar. It looks right, but it doesn't work. I'm using an unordered-inline list, and trying to link different rectangles in the header. I can't click on anything in the header, though. The code for the html and css files, and a mockup of the header, are below. Any advice on why the header bar isn't working would be much appreciated. • Stress Test tool for Password Protected Website

  We need to run a stress test on a password protection section of a website we host. What tool (paid or free) would be best for us to use for this? We'd like to be able to create several 'scripts' and then have the stress test simulate X number of users. Each script will have us login as a specific user and then click on some links and submit forms to simulate an actual user. Ideally the software would also create some nice data exports/charts. Server is a linux web server, but we could run this on linux or Windows so software that will run on either is fine.

  I have a ListView that is binded to my custom collection. At run time , I am updating the certain properties of my entity in my custom collection in my ViewModel. At the same time , I am also doing the custom sorting in the listview. The custom sorting is applicable when I click on the any column header of the listview. For example, I am updating the current datetime on my entity on every 5 seconds and simulaneously , I am applying custom sorting based on DateTime. (The Listview is third party control). Hence I am doing two operations on my custom collection at the same time. Should I pass the dispatcher of my control in the view model and call any methods ( which updates any entity in my custom collection ) through UI dispatcher ?

• How do I include 2 tables in LocalStorage?

  I've got a table that you can edit, and I've got a simple code saving that list when you're done with editing it. (the tables have the contenteditable on) The problem I've stumbled upon is that if I double click on enter, the table gets divided into two separate tables with the same ID. This causes the code I'm using to set the localStorage to only store one of the tables (I assume the first).. I've thought of different solutions and I wonder if someone could point out the pro's and con's (if the solutions even works that is). Make a loop that checks the page after tables and stores them into an array of localStorage-items.. I'd have to dynamically create a localStorage item for each table. Take the whole div that the tables are in, and store that in the localStorage, when a user revisits the page, the page checks after the items in storage and displays the whole divs. Any suggestions you have that can beat this :).. (but no cache, it has to be with the localStorage!) Thanks

• How do I wait for "animated scroll to id" to complete before focusing on first form field?

  So, I have a link at the bottom of website. When it is clicked, it scrolls to a form at the top of the page with the animated style. And as it arrives at top of page, it focuses on the first field in form. Currently, this is my code: $(document).ready(function() { $('#goto-show-form').click(function() { $('html, body').animate({scrollTop: $("#show-form").offset().top}, '500'); $('#first-field').focus(); return false; }); }); What happens is it begins scrolling, then focuses to form field while still in process of scrolling, then returns to last position in scrolling process and continues scrolling up. Instead of being smooth, you can see it cuts back and forth. How can I tell jquery to wait until scrolling is complete before focusing to the form field?   i have a simple web service with one method that returns List<org.company.data.mp> i've created a simple web service client and specified a web service with wsdl. in netbeans i try to call a web service operation: right click, insert code, ... and i pick my web service operation. the code gets inserted but the method's return type is not List<org.company.data.mp> but it is List<org.company.server.mp>! i don't get it.. in the package "server" there is no class called mp! i check the implementation class of my web service - it says the return type is ...data.mp not ...server.mp

• What is a good way to animate UIViews inside UITableViewCell after a callback?

  We couldn't find a way to animate UIViews inside a UITableCell as an action from a callback. Suppose in a scenario where you click on a button on the UITableViewCell and it fires off an asynchronous action to download a picture. Suppose further that when the picture is downloaded we want a UIView in the cell to animate the picture to give user a visual feedback that something new is about to be presented. We couldn't find a way to track down the UIVIew to invoke beginAnimation on because the original cell that the user clicked on might now be used for another row due to the nature of cells being reused when you scroll up and down in the table. In other words we can't keep a pointer to that UITableViewCell. We need to find another way to target the cell and animate it if that row is visible and don't animate if the row is scrolled out of range.

  I want to quickly find the total size of any folder using python. def GetFolderSize(path): TotalSize = 0 for item in os.walk(path): for file in item[2]: try: TotalSize = TotalSize + getsize(join(item[0], file)) except: print("error with file: " + join(item[0], file)) return TotalSize That's the simple script I wrote to get the total size of the folder, it took around 60 seconds (+-5 seconds). By using multiprocessing I got it down to 23 seconds on a quad core machine. Using the Windows file explorer it takes only ~3 seconds (Right click- properties to see for yourself). So is there a faster way of finding the total size of a folder close to the speed that windows can do it? Windows 7, python 2.6 (Did searches but most of the time people used a very similar method to my own) Thanks in advance.

  Hi guys I'm trying to integrate the tinymce plugin however I'm running into problems such that almost every feature which requires a plugin to be rendered i.e the add url popup or add image pop up - it opens an empty pop up window. Even if I try to open it inline I get the same blank popup window.. I noticed that whenever I click on lets say url button in tinymCE it opens with reference to my localhost and because of that I'm assuming my application is mistaking the containing javascript folder to be some controller or action. How can I fix this please - I've set up mod rewrite to allow clean urls as well as ignore the javascript folder but this is a different issue altogether :( what should I be looking at here.. I can't notice any error sin firebug..

  I'm using listpreference in my android app and getting my key values and all is well and works good (now that you guys have helped me) BUT - when my listpreference menus popup, they only contain a cancel button. Let's say the user is choosing between red, blue, and green. When the listpreference dialog first pops-up, the dialog only shows a cancel button. Because of that, the dialog disappears as soon as the user selects their choice. I would like it so that when the user chooses their setting, they see the radio button get highlighted and then they go ahead and click the ok button...but I don't have an ok button and can't figure out why. Any help would be awesome...al
