    PyQt application works fine, but when I close it Python shows this message: "Object::connect: No such signal QObject::dataChanged(QModelIndex,QModelIndex)" What is the cause of this? There isn't dataChanged signal in the program.     Hi, I finally landed up in developing an iPhone app using Titanium Mobile. Now the problem I face is, Im able to run the app, and the app also sends the image to the server. But Im not able to see the file that got uploaded to the server.     In the imageviewer example, QPainter and QPrintDialog objects are defined and used as following: #ifndef QT_NO_PRINTER QPrinter printer; #endif and QPrintDialog dialog(&printer, this); A QPainter object is then initialized with QPrinter (printer). When I tried to use the same code in my function, it looks like: void imageviewer::print() { ... #ifdef QT_NO_PRINTER QPrinter printer(this); //ERROR 1 QPrintDialog dialog(&printer, this);//ERROR 2 and 3 if (dialog.exec()) //ERROR 4 { //do the painting } #endif } The errors are: 1. variable 'QPrinter printer' has initializer but incomplete type 2. 'QPrintDialog' was not declared in this scope 3. Expected ';' before 'dialog' 4. 'dialog' was not declared in this scope What I am notable to understand is why are these errors arising when I am using them in my code, but not in the example. As a friend pointed out, I made sure that I used the right #include files and made sure that 'printer' and 'dialog' were not touched anywhere else in the example.

I realised too, that if I don't call qsrand everytime, but only once during my application's lifetime, it's working perfectly... My question : Why ?

    I am basically trying to create a small registration form. If the username is already taken, I want to add the 'red' class, if not then 'green'. The PHP here works fine, and returns either a "YES" or "NO" to determine whether it's ok.   • Error logging with PHP and mod_fcgid

    I have a mediawiki install that is acting up. Whenever I try to save an article, it goes to a blank screen. All though if I refresh that blank screen, it will go on to work. I have no idea why it's doing that, but it seems to be that it's a problem with PHP. I guess by default errors don't get logged when using mod_fcgid, because I can't find an error log anywhere. I tried enabling logging in the /etc/php5/cgi/php.ini, but that didn't do anything. How do I achieve php error logging? I'm using ubuntu 9.10.

  • "The image <name> cannot be displayed because it contains errors" when using pchart Render method

    Hi, I am trying to use the pchart package (over php) to build (and directly display) graphs/charts. At this time, I am just trying to run their provided example (Example1.php), where I just have replaced the final: $Test-Render("example1.png"); by $Test-Stroke(); But When I do this, I get:" The image cannot be displayed because it contains errors" on the browser. If I leave the original "$Test-Render(...)" the generated image is OK. (but not sent) I have read that there is (was?) an issue with mozilla/Firefox browsers regarding images being required twice and the REFER URL, but when I browse at the pchart home page, I can use their "sanboxes" and get the result of my tests directly displayed on my browser (http://pchart.sourceforge.net/demo.php). ... So their must be a way (or a nice work around) to send the generated graphs directely to the browser successfuly. If your answer is to generate the image (i.e. use Render) and then send it afterwards, please but accurate on how to do this (how do I destroy the generated files automaticaly, permissions...) I am new to this, sorry advance if it's obvious...;-)

  • WebSVN with VisualSVN Server, anyone gotten authentication to work?

    I have a VisualSVN Server installed on a Windows server, serving several repositories. Since the web-viewer built into VisualSVN server is a minimalistic subversion browser, I'd like to install WebSVN on top of my repositories. The problem, however, is that I can't seem to get authentication to work. Ideally I'd like my current repository authentication as specified in VisualSVN to work with WebSVN, so that though I see all the repository names in WebSVN, I can't actually browse into them without the right credentials. By visiting the cached copy of the topmost link on this google query you can see what I've found so far that looks promising. (the main blog page seems to have been destroyed, domain of the topmost page I'm referring to is the-wizzard.de) There I found some php functions I could tack onto one of the php files in WebSVN. I followed the modifications there, but all I succeeded in doing was make WebSVN ask me for a username and password and no matter what I input, it won't let me in. Unfortunately, php and apache is largely black magic to me. So, has anyone successfully integrated WebSVN with VisualSVN hosted repositories?

  • QTreeWidget insertTopLevelItem - index given not accurately displayed in Tree?

    I am unable to properly insert a QTreeWidgetItem at a specific index, in this case I am removing all QTreeWidgetItems from the tree, doing a custom sort on their Date Objects and then inserting them back into the QTreeWidget. However, upon inserting (even one at a time) the QTreeWidgetItem is not inserted into the correct place.   • How does one paint the entire row's background in a QStyledItemDelegate ?

    I have a QTableView which I am setting a custom QStyledItemDelegate on. In addition to the custom item painting, I want to style the row's background color for the selection/hovered states. It is hard to describe so here is a screenshot: In that picture the mouse was over the left most cell, hence the highlighted background.. but I want the background to be drawn over the entire row. How can I achieve this? Edit: With some more thought I've realized that the QStyle::State_MouseOver state is only being passed for actual cell which the mouse is over, and when the paint method is called for the other cells in the row QStyle::State_MouseOver is not set. So the question becomes is there a QStyle::State_MouseOver_Row state (answer: no), so how do I go about achieving that?

  • Long running stats process - thoughts on language choice?

    I am on a LAMP stack for a website I am managing. There is a need to roll up usage statistics (a variety of things related to our desktop product), and I initially tackled the problem with PHP (being that I had a bunch of classes to work with the data already). All worked well on my dev box which was using 5.3 Long story short, 5.1 memory management seems to suck a lot worse, and I've had to do a lot of fooling to get the long term roll up scripts to run in a fixed memory space. Our server guys are unwilling to upgrade php at this time. I've since moved my dev server back to 5.1 so I don't run into this problem again... For mining of mysql databases to roll up statistics for different periods and resolutions, potentially running a process that does this all the time in the future (as opposed to on a cron schedule), what language choice do you recommend? I was looking at python (I know it more or less), java (don't know it that well), sticking it out with php (know it quite well). Thanks for any suggestions. Josh

    I have a global object "X" and a class "A". I need a function F in A which have the ability to modify the content of X. For some reason, X cannot be a data member of A (but A can contain some member Y as reference of X), and also, F cannot have any parameter, so I cannot pass X as an parameter into F. (Here A is an dialog and F is a slot without any parameter, such as accept() ) How can I modify X within F if I cannot pass X into it? Is there any way to let A know that "X" is the object it need to modify?? I try to add something such as SetItem to specify X in A, but failed.

  • Assistance with building an inverted-index

    It's part of an information retrieval thing I'm doing for school. The plan is to create a hashmap of words using the the first two letters of the word as a key and any words with the two letters saved as a string value. So, hashmap["ba"] = "bad barley base" Once I'm done tokenizing a line I take that hashmap, serialize it, and append it to the text file named after the key. The idea is that if I take my data and spread it over hundreds of files I'll lessen the time it takes to fulfill a search by lessening the density of each file. The problem I am running into is when I'm making 100+ files in each run it happens to choke on creating a few files for whatever reason and so those entries are empty. Is there any way to make this more efficient? Is it worth continuing this, or should I abandon it? I'd like to mention I'm using PHP. The two languages I know relatively intimately are PHP and Java. I chose PHP because the front end will be very simple to do and I will be able to add features like autocompletion/suggested search without a problem. I also see no benefit in using Java. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

    Hi, I`m trying to freeze my application using Py2exe. My app uses PyQt4 and it apparently works fine with py2exe. But once I`ve uninstalled PyQt, it shows the following error: QSqlDatabase: QPSQL driver not loaded QSqlDatabase: available driver: QPSQL7 QPSQL Which doesn't make sense at all. If PyQt4 is still installed, it works just fine.     Hi everyone, I want to make editable cells with multi-lines content in QTreeWidget and I use for this purpose QPlainTextEdit as a delegate. I need to set proper size to all rows that switching between editing and displaying went smooth, without any visible changes. rect = textEdit.blockBoundingRect(textEdit.firstVisibleBlock()) with this I can find out the height I need to set for the row, but I missing the place where I can do it.   • 500 error using lighttpd, fastcgi and PHP on file upload

    I have a server running lighttpd with fastcgi, and it appears to be working correctly. However when I try to upload a file using a form, I get a 500 Internal server error, along with the following in the logs: 2012-03-23 18:25:09: (mod_fastcgi.c.2566) unexpected end-of-file (perhaps the fastcgi process died): pid: 2755 socket: unix:/tmp/php-fastcgi-1.socket-0 2012-03-23 18:25:09: (mod_fastcgi.c.3354) response not received, request sent: 50437 on socket: unix:/tmp/php-fastcgi-1.socket-0 for /index.php?url=brand/manager, closing connection I've been looking around for a long while now trying to find a solution to the issue, but nothing I'm trying is working. My current fastcgi conf looks as follows: server.modules += ( "mod_fastcgi" ) fastcgi.server = ( ".php" => (( "socket" => "/tmp/php-fastcgi-1.socket", "bin-path" => "/usr/bin/php-cgi", "allow-x-send-file" => "enable", "max-procs" => 1, "broken-scriptfilename" => "enable" )) ) If anyone could suggest if there is anything wrong in the configuration it would be greatly appreciated, or any suggestion as to what I might do?
