  • WPF: change DataTemples according to Value

    I have a class called Cell with two properties. One is called Value of type int? And the other is called Candidates of type ObservableCollection during the initialization I am utilizing a DataTemplateSelector to choose between two datatemplates for two different scenarios. If the Value property has a value then template A should be used to present the Cell class. However if the Value property is null Then template B should be used to present the Cell class. While this works perfectly fine during the initialization however during the runtime the templates don't change any more when the value of the Value property actually changes. Is the approach of using DataTemplateSelector the wrong approach to change DataTemplates dynamically? What would you recommend I should do? Many thanks,

    I've just installed LinuxMint XFCE, which seems to be still a bit to heavy for my hardware. Thus, I'm thinking about LXDE installation and wonder if a new Linux installation is necessary/advised in such case. The question is: how to switch easily? The additional questions are: a) is it necessary to remove the XFCE packages or both DEs may be installed at the same time? b) is there any way to simply switch between DEs (i.e. have both DEs available and boot with DE selected each time)? c) are there any performance consequences of having more than one DE installed? it means: is clean LXDE installation faster than Linux with 2 separate desktops?

How do I do that ?

  • SVN : how to change hostname?

    I'd like to sep up SVN repo on local machine. But we already have apache running under localhost. When I use instalator form subversion site with apache option it installs another apache and when I type "localhost" in browser I see this new apache (not the old one). Question is how to run this new apache under other host name. When installing it asks about it, so I set different name, but it still works under localhost (nothing happens). I'd like to have access to svn via URL e.g. "svnrepo" not "localhost". What can I do about it? Which lines of config should be changed (and/or what's more should be changed?) Another way I'm thinking of to solve this problem is to integrate this svn-apache module with mine apache. But still I don't really know how to do it (my apache is 2.2.6)

  • Change the mysql.sock that the system PHP uses

    In the past I had installed MySQL as part of XAMPP in /Applications/XAMPP/ and the PHP that the system used (e.g. from command line) used /Applications/XAMPP/xamppfiles/var/mysql/mysql.sock to connect with MySQL. Now I have installed MySQL 5 with macports and I want my system PHP to be able to use that. I think I must set PHP to use /opt/local/var/run/mysql5/mysqld.sock but where do I set this? Is there a php.ini for CLI PHP?

  • SSH broken after homedir permissions and hostname change on EC2-hosted Ubuntu

    I changed my instance's hostname using the hostname utility and then set it in /etc/hostname so that the new name survives reboot. My main motivation was for differentiating between instances at the prompt using the \h format in PS1. EDIT I also changed permissions on my home directory. I made my home directory group writeable. Now I can no longer SSH into the machine. The short of it is the error Permission denied (publickey). Running ssh -v, the more verbose output is: debug1: Authentications that can continue: publickey debug1: Next authentication method: publickey debug1: Offering RSA public key: /Users/dmitry/.ssh/id_rsa debug1: Authentications that can continue: publickey debug1: Trying private key: /Users/dmitry/.ssh/ec2key.pem debug1: read PEM private key done: type RSA debug1: Authentications that can continue: publickey debug1: No more authentication methods to try. Permission denied (publickey). Should I have done something after changing the hostname? Now I can't get into the instance! :(

    The scenario is like this. Bob has a computer. It crashed. Now he only has the hdd. The hdd is in ext3 format. He go to his office and told the sys admin John to mount this hdd and put the mount point in his home directory. He could access his old extra and windows. Specially the Documents and Settings in windows was helpful for him. But he found a problem. He is a web developer and all his websites are in linux/home/bob/public_html directory. When he tried to access that public_html directory he got permission_denied. He executed ls -lh he saw this. drwxr-xr-x 2 john john 4.0K Nov 9 2011 Desktop drwxr-xr-x 3 john john 4.0K Aug 12 2011 Documents drwxr-xr-x 3 john john 4.0K Aug 21 2011 public_html He contacted John thinking he might be mistakenly did this. But John couldn't find a way why this happend? Then one thing came into his mind file system hardly store username. They store uids. So he executed ls -ln drwxr-xr-x 2 1000 1000 4096 Nov 9 2011 Desktop drwxr-xr-x 3 1000 1000 4096 Aug 12 2011 Documents drwxr-xr-x 3 1000 1000 4096 Aug 21 2011 public_html John thinks 1000 is the first uid on a linux system. As he is the admin of the current system. He created his account first. so Johns uid was 1000. Bob also setup his private system and crated his account first. So Bobs uid was 1000 too. So thats an expected behavior. But problem remains. How can Bob access those websites in public_html?

    PHP, WHM, and several other services are already installed on a CentOS x64 server I am trying to migrate data to. Many of my existing PHP scripts are dependent on PHP's apache_request_headers() function, which the current server's PHP configuration does not support. Apparently, compiling PHP as an Apache module is one solution, but are there other ways to enable this (without uninstalling PHP, reinstalling, etc., and all dependent services), perhaps as easy as modifying php.ini, somehow?

    I'm trying to change the color of write-host output based on the lastrunoutcome property of SQL Server jobs in Powershell....as in...if a job was successfull, the output of lastrunoutcome is "Success" in green....if failed, then "Failed" in red. I have the script working to get the desired job status...I just don't know how to change the colors.   • how to resume facebook session key after user change facebook password

    hey i have iphone application that using facebook connect. users login to the iphone application using facebook connect. and then i receive their sessionKey back to my server, and i am using the sesssionkey to post actions to users wall. the iphone application keeps the user logged in allways. which means that every times the user will open the application, he will not need to make login again. the problem is that, when the user change his facebook password the user sessionKey also changes. and when the user enter to my iphone applicaiton, the user is shown as loggedin, and then i recieve to my server the user old sessionkey, and when i try to post to the user wall facebook tells me that the session is inavlid. it is ok because the user change his password and the session changes too. my question is how can i check in the iphone if the session key has changed ? and if it changes to promote the user to make login again.

    Ok right , i asked how to create a random number from 1-100 for android and i came to this TextView tv = new TextView(this); int random = (int)Math.ceil(Math.random()*101); tv.setText("Your Number Is..."+ random ); What this does is create the default kinda "hello world" style text view and says "Your Number Is.... [Then Random Number] My problem is that i cant change the layout of this text , because it is not defined in XML, if someone could tell me how to change the style , or like make the random number into a string so i could use it for any Textview layout that would be great ..     I love the text to Speech feature of Mac OS X. Since I'm not a native English speaker I'm very happy about all the additional languages added since Lion came out. However, I do use English as well as my native language (German). Changing voices is a bit of a pain. It just requires too many steps to be comfortable. Is there any way to make this easy? I was looking for shortcuts, maybe a drop down menu somwhere up in the right corner, anything would be fine. Since my search was not successful, I hope to find some advice here on SuperUser.     Ofc i know how to do that, but the thing is that i am using "User Role Editor" and i have one user group that can read and edit published pages. Now, i will be adding all the pages on that site, and we will have several users that will need to have only one page they can edit, so i need for that page to change "Page author" to that user. In case you didnt know, when user have "Edit published pages" enabled they can edit only pages where they are listed as author. Problem is i can only do that by going in phpmyadmin and changing the page_author field to the id of that user because that user group, like i said, can only read and edit published pages. That is why i can not change page author from "Edit page" page to user from that user group. So my question is: does anyone know any solution to this problem which does not involve me going to phpmyadmin and changing the id for page_author there?

    installed squid + dansguardian to block adult content on my linux (ubuntu 12.10) . everything worked fine. it has blocked as expected . now the problem is i am also running an apache server for my LAN . Your cache administrator is webmaster. before configuring the squid it was working fine . what changes in the squid.conf i have to make . i tried acl Safe_ports 80 allow_all Safe_ports ( i want to know how i can configure it again to listen HTTP request from LAN )

  • wxPython: Change a buttons text in a wx.FileDialog

    Hello I have a wx.FileDialog (with the wx.FD_OPEN flag) & I would like to know if I can (& how) I could change the button in the bottom right of the FileDialog from "Open" to "Create" or "Delete", etc. What I am doing is I have a button with the text "Delete Portfolio", when pressed it opens a FileDialog & allows the user to select a portfolio file(.db) to delete. So instead of the File Dialog's bottom right confirm button displaying "Open" I would like to be able to change the text to "Confirm" or "Delete" or whatever. Is this possible, its a rather superficial thing to do, but if the button says open when the user wants to select a file to delete, it can be a little confusing even if the title of the dialog says "please select a file to delete"
