  • Eclipse/CDT editor not picking up project-defined symbols in coloring ifdef'ed out sections

    The problem I'm seeing is that under preferences, C/C++ Defined symbols for different Configurations/targets aren't showing up in the code coloring. When I change the active build configuration in the project menu, I would expect the editor & code coloring to pick up the symbols from the project settings, but it only seems to be picking up the symbols for one of the targets. Is there any way to have the code coloring for ifdef'ed code follow the active build configuration?

  • How do I disable Hot Code Replace in Eclipse

    HCR is failing alot more often than not for me at the moment. It keeps popping up the "Hot Code Replace Failed" dialog, over and over and over. I know there is a checkbox to shut it up, but later on when I'm doing something else I actually want the dialog to appear. Plus I don't want hot swapping code right now anyways, I just want the debugger. So is there a setting someplace for that "do not show dialog again" checkbox, for when I want to re-enable it? Better yet, is there a way to turn HCR on and off period? BTW, as far as I can tell disabling "Build Automatically" doesn't disable it.

    Hello, When i develop a project i create a folder in my project called libs. And in this folder i place all the library jars that i use. Is there a way to add just the libs folder to the class path so that i do not have to add each individual jar? I was thinking something along the lines of a variable or creating a user library.   • Eclipse debug - line: not available

    I can't seem to find anything on google telling me why this might be and what the resolution is. I'm Stepping through third party code (that I have the source for) and would really like to see the current line being executed... Looking at javac compile flags, I see the -g:none flag. If this flag is set, would this be enough to explain why I'm not able to see line numbers? If so, why would someone do this, are there performance implications? Do I need to recompile the jar myself to attach the missing debug info (if possible)? Thanks!

    I'm trying to create a button in the application from one activity to another. The document resource/values/strings.xml created for this ID: <string name="button1name"> CID </ string> But the document GurovPictures.java (this is my main activity) when I insert a line: Button but1 = (Button) findViewById (R.id.button1); This "button1" does not become blue like "editText1". Do you happen to know how to fix it? Just the internet no entries found.

    Motivation I have written an eclipse plugin that shows me a list of all files and folders with unreviewed content. When selecting a folder, I want an editor to open showing all files and subfolders that this folder contains. It has to work for versioned items, too. So I have to create the content of the editor within my plugin (no backing IResource). What I currently have Right now I'm opening a RemoteFileEditorInput for a versioned file (subclipse) or I'm using IWorkbenchPage.openEditor() for a FileEditorInput. Question What's an easy way to visualize dynamic content (directory listing) inside of an text editor?

However if you are building Java EE 6 applications then you are already familiar with Java Persistence API (JPA). Eclipse Link 2.4, scheduled to release as part of Eclipse Juno, provides support for NoSQL databases by mapping a JPA entity to a document. Their wiki provides complete explanation of how the mapping is done. This Tip Of The Day (TOTD) will show how you can leverage that support in your Java EE 6 applications deployed on GlassFish 3.1.2. Before we dig into the code, here are the key concepts ... A POJO is mapped to a NoSQL data source using @NoSQL or <no-sql> element in "persistence.xml".   • Eclipse says "Access Denied" when running javaw and how to fix it?

    I'm trying to get Eclipse to compile and run a HelloWorld class but it can't even do that. I have installed Eclipse x86 SDK 4.2.0 together bit with the latest JRE and JDK both in 64 bit as well. I also have the PATH variables set to respond to command prompts. When I try to run the following code: class HelloWorld { public static void main(String[] args) { System.out.println("Hello World!" ) ; } } And it returns the following error: Exception occurred executing command line. Cannot run program "C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe" (in directory "C:\Users\Default\workspace\devs"): CreateProcess error=5, Access is denied. Can you help me fix this? Thanks!
