  • Narrowing down my large keyword list for new PPC campaign

    If I have a list of 100 keywords that are candidates for a PPC campaign (my list is actually 1000+). What is the best approach to narrowing this down to the top 5-10 keywords I should start with? I'm also wondering if my top chosen keywords for PPC campaign should be my main keywords for SEO site optimization for organic traffic.   • How to install an application manually into Natty's Application list

    I am trying to install ZendStudio 8 (Eclipse based) on 11.04 and am kinda stuck at the part were I can get it into the Applications list. ZendStudio prior to version 8 came with a magic .bin which installed it all no problems, but now it simply comes as a folder all set up to be run as-is. I have copied this folder to /opt/ZendStudio, and I can launch the program using /opt/ZendStudio/ZendStudio but in the Unity Launcher it shows up with a grey box and a big Question Mark as it's icon. However, I'd like it to be show up in the Applications list so I can search for it and load it like a normal application. I also want to Pin it to the launcher so it stays there the whole time, and I tried this with running it directly but it didn't work and it didn't load up the application icon. Any ideas how I can finish the install so it is in my menus etc?

    Once in a while I need to install a new Ubuntu (I used it both for desktop and servers) and I always forget a couple of libraries I should have installed before compiling, meaning I have to recompile, and it's getting annoying. So now I want to make a complete list of all library packages to install before compiling Python (and preferably how optional they are). Off the top of my head I can remember these: build-essential (obviously) libz-dev (also pretty common and essential) libreadline-dev (or the Python prompt is crap) But I know there are many more. Please tell me and I'll update.

I've create that and it works when I access it on local network, but when I access it from outside of local network (internet) the www.mysite.com:502 can't accessed but the www.mysite.com can accessed. what should I do to make www.mysite.com:502 goes online? I use windows server 2008 standard

  • Help writing server script to ban IP's from a list

    I have a VPS that I use as an openvpn and web server. For some reason, my apache log files are filled with thousands of these hack attempts: "POST /xmlrpc.php HTTP/1.0" 404 395 These attack attempts fill up 90% of my logs. I think it's a WordPress vulnerability they're looking for. Obviously they are not successful (I don't even have Wordpress on my server), but it's annoying and probably resource consuming as well. I am trying to write a bash script that will do the following: Search the apache logs and grab the offending IP's (even if they try it once), Sort them into a list with each unique IP on a seperate line, And then block them using the IP table rules. I am a bash newb, and so far my script does everything except Step 3. I can manually block the IP's, but that's tedious and besides, this is Linux and it's perfectly capable of doing it for me. I also want the script to be customizable so that I (or anyone else who wants to use it) can change the variables to suit whatever situation I/they may deal with in the future.     With backlinkwatch.com I can get a list of pages that link to a particular website. Unfortunately, it lists tons of obscure blogs and small forums, it has hard to find what link is really important. Is there a similar service, where links would be displayed sorted by "importance"? For instance, a link New York Times would be shown at the top of the list, while links in small blogs would not appear before a few pages. "Importance" can be subjective, so I suggest using the PageRank, but other metrics could be fine too.

  • Implementing a list with unique_ptr<>? [migrated]

    As I understand it, a unique_ptr signifies exclusive ownership. A singly linked list seems to fit this, with each node owning the next, like (pseduocode alert) class node{ public: unique_ptr<node> next; int value; }; but I don't understand how to perform operations like traversing the list, where I'm used to doing here=here->next; How do you implement data structures using unique_ptr's? Are they the right tool for the job?

  • How to write an asmx web service without using app_code directory?

    Excuse the title, but it's best I just explain the problem. I have 2 projects in my solution A Class Library A Web Application, which consists of a web service (asmx). the web service has code sitting in the app_code folder, with a file [webservicename].cs Inside the webservice code behind class, I have a web method here is a sample example (its simplified): [WebMethod] public EnumTaskExportState ProcessTask() { var tm = new UploadTaskManager(); return tm.ProcessTask(); } Now at design time, in visual studio (2010 or 2008), when I right click on UploadTaskMananger, and then select "Go to definition". I get taken to AppData\Temp[some folder structure]...etc.... and it displays the public class definition. Instead I would like to have complete integration, so that I get taken directly to the actual class in the class library project. My guess is, this is happening because I am using the app_code route, and not a compiled file for the web service class. But I don't know any other way to do this. How can I fix this? Possibly do away with the need for the app_code directory?

  • Apache Axis: How to set call properties using code generated from wsdl2java?

    I'm using Apache Axis 1.4 (yes, the old one), with wsdl2java to generate the client code for a webservice. I'd like to set additional properties on the Call object before calling methods on the generated stub. For example, I'd like to set username, password, perhaps add or modify existing headers, and change the client handlers to use different implementations. Currently, I'm doing this by modifying the generated Stub class and calling the appropriate setters. However, I'd like to achieve this without touching the generated files. I"m confused, though, because the Stub class has: createCall() which creates the call object and sets some properties. Currently, this is where I'm modifying the generated source code; then, the Stub contains: clientMethod1(){ blahblah Call _call = createCall(); ...... _call.invoke(); } So I can't see a way that I can use the serviceLocator to get a stub, modify the properties I want to modify, and then use the stub to call the methods I want to call, given that the stub methods call createCall() and then call invoke. There doesn't appear to be a way to intercept the new Call object before it's invoked. So: How do you modify properties in the call without modifying the generated Stub class's source code? Thanks for info or even pointers to existing documentation.

    Hi there I got a question about the behavior of lookup fields when importing data. I wonder how the lookup fields behave when the list they point to is being replaced/imported. To explain the issue, I will provide a quick example below: As example, assume we have these two sharepoint lists: Product Types ------------- + Type Name + Code Nr + etc Products -------- + Product Name + Product Type (Lookup field to list "Product Types") + etc In my scenario, the Products List contains production data on the production Sharepoint platform. It is filled with data by the business users. However the Product Types list contains rather static data and is maintained by the developer. Now after a development cycle, the developer wants to deploy his new webparts and his new data (product types list). The developer performs the following procedure: On the dev machine: Export "product type" list using stsadm On the production machine: Delete all items in the "product type" list On the production machine: Import the "product type" list using stsadm This means we basically replace the "product type" list on the production server while keeping the "product" list as it is. Now the question: Is this safe? Will the lookup references break under certain circumstances? Any downside of this import/export procedure? What happens if someone accesses a "product" during the import? Will the (now invalid) reference clear its own content (become a null value). What happens if the schema of the "product type" list changes (new column)? Will this cause any troubles? Thanks for all feedback and suggestions!
