  • VB6's private static in C# ?

    In VB6 there are local static variables that keep their values after the exit of procedure. It's like using public vars but on local block. For example: sub count() static x as integer x = x + 1 end sub After 10 calls, x will be 10. I tried to search the same thing in .NET (and even Java) but there was none. Why? Does it break the OOP model in some way, and is there a way to emulate that.

    Jeff Ryan's quantmod package is an excellent contribution to the R finance world. I like to use chartSeries() function, but when I try to get it to display multiple panes simultaneously, it doesn't work. par(mfrow=c(2,2)) chartSeries (SPX) chartSeries (SPX, subset="2010") chartSeries (NDX) chartSeries (NDX, subset="2010") would normally return a four-panel graphic as it does with the plot() function but in the chartSeries example it runs through all instances one at a time without creating a single four-panel graphic.

    Hi, I'm looking for a package (any language, really) that I can use on a corpus of 50 documents to perform interdocument similarity testing in various metrics, like tfidf, okapi, language models, lsa, etc. I want as a result a document similarity matrix, i.e. doc1 is x% similar to doc2, etc... This is for research purposes, not for production. I specifically want the doc similarity matrix as I want to correlate this with human ratings. Thank you in advance!

  • Embedding Private Framework into iPhone app

    Hi All, I am trying to use some external Framework in my iPhone app. I did the following: copied the xxx.framework inside my project folder dragged the xxx.framework folder to Frameworks folder in xcode clicked add to target and set the path to relative to the project passed -ObjC flag in other flags (required by the framework) when compiling i get the error "ld: framework not found xxx.framework" what could I possibly missed? I googled around to find an answer and no luck so far and I need to make it work urgently any help will be much appreciated Thanks Alot Yas.

  • emacs public/protected/private label indentation of C++ header file not working for zero offset

    I cannot get zero offset for some things for my C++ header files in emacs even if I have it defined in my .emacs file. The header file below shows a class definition inside two namespaces and most importantly the public keyword I would like to have with zero offset like below. namespace n1 { namespace n2 { class SomeClass { public: // this line with zero offset SomeClass(); ... }; } // n2 } // n2 In my .emacs file I have added label like this: (c-set-offset 'label 0) I used Ctrl-C Ctrl-S to find out what to modify. Other offsets I have defined in the .emacs file are working fine and also values other than 0 work for label. When I set offset 0 for label it turns out to be 1 when hitting tab for that line. This is strange and looks like something else is overriding or adding a minimum of 1. Can anyone explain how I can achieve what I want and maybe also an explanation what is happening currently? Phew, this was my first question here. Thanks :)

    I'm using LaTeX in conjunction with the listings package and I'm trying to suppress the title of a listing such that it is neither viewed below the actual listing nor in the list of listings. Setting the option title to title="" or title= does not work. It only leads to the suppression of the listing in the list of listings. However, in the first case "" is displayed below the listing and in the latter one Listing: is displayed below the listing. Is there a way to fix this?

    Right now for my ConversionPattern I have: log4j.appender.A1.layout.ConversionPattern=%d{yyyy MMM dd HH:mm:ss,SSS} %5p [%t] (%F:%L) - %m%n What I'd like to do is also include the full package name with the class (%F:%L) but I can't find any config to do so in the docs. I do understand that this will be slower, but it's only for debugging and not when the system will be in production.

  • cURL PHP Proper SSL between private servers with self-signed certificate

    I originally had a connection between my 2 servers running with CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER set to "false" with no Common Name in the SSL cert to avoid errors. The following is the client code that connected to the server with the certificate: curl_setopt($ch,CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER,FALSE); curl_setopt($ch,CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST,2); However, I recently changed this code (set it to true) and specified the computers certificate in PEM format. curl_setopt($ch,CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER,TRUE); curl_setopt($ch,CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST,2); curl_setopt($ch,CURLOPT_CAINFO,getcwd().'/includes/hostcert/Hostname.crt'); This worked great on the local network from a test machine, as the certificate is signed with it's hostname for a CN. How can I setup the PHP code so it only trusts the hostname computer and maintains a secure connection. I'm well aware you can just set CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYHOST to "0" or "1" and CURLOPT_SSL_VERIFYPEER to "false", but these are not valid solutions as they break the SSL security.

I'm now running a Google Adwords campaign for a client (with another email address than my google analytics account) and I want to keep track of Adwords stats in Google analytics. Is that even possible? Or do I have to create separate google analytics accounts for every client I'm running Adwords for?

My application is developed on the Google App Engine. I would like to add a search engine but obviously without the need to public index it.     Hi, Im using the Microsoft.Office.Interop.MSProject.Resource assembly which has a "UniqueID" property, it has a get but not set. How can I actually set a value? An example would be very much appreciated. --Update-- Ok I can get the value for a property "Name" and set, but Im intersted in the "UniqueId" property that does not have a public set (get only): int ii = (int)resource.GetType().InvokeMember("UniqueID", BindingFlags.GetProperty, null, resource, new object[] { }); resource.GetType().InvokeMember("UniqueID", BindingFlags.SetProperty, null, resource, new object[] {iUid,}); I get the following error {"Number of parameters specified does not match the expected number."} anyway for me to work out how many paramters it needs?

Also if I'm using the auto.arima function for deducing number of AR terms and corresponding coefficients from the forecast package in R, does my input series necessarily have to be stationary? or the value for d would be automatically selected thus returning a non-stationary model? My question is, how to use BDD with private methods? How can I unit test private methods? Is there better solution than: - making private methods public first and then making them private when I write public method that uses those private methods; or - in C# making all private methods internal and using InternalsVisibleTo attribute.
