  I haveasp:GridView displaying client requests using asp:SqlDataSource. I want to limit displayed information by client: View.aspx has to display everything, View.aspx?client=1 has to display only requests from client ID #1. So I'm using <asp:QueryStringParameter Name="client" QueryStringField="client" /> for query "EXEC getRequests @client". Everything works properly when some client is specified. But don't - if not. I tested my SP using SSMS - it works properly in both cases - when parameter is specified and when it isn't (NULL passed explicitly). What have I do?

  Hi, I want to have a function that evaluates 2 bool vars (like a truth table) for example: since T | F : T then myfunc('t', 'f', ||); /*defined as: bool myfunc(char lv, char rv, ????)*/ should return true; how can I pass the third parameter? (I know is possible to pass it as a char* but then I will have to have another table to compare operator string and then do the operation which is something I would like to avoid) Is it possible to pass an operator like ^(XOR) or ||(OR) or &&(AND), etc in a function/method? • Weird exception with OLEDB Parameter Insert

  Getting a strange error when trying to insert data into an Access database using parameters. the line where I am getting a problem is :- thisCommand.CommandText = "INSERT INTO Events (Venue_ID, Date_Start, Date_End, Time_Start, Time_End, Name, Description, Event_Type, Buy_Tickets_URL) VALUES (@VenID, @DStart, @DEnd, @evTime, @evTime, @Name, @Des, @EvType, @SysUrl);"; string desc = GetDesc(rec.EvName); thisCommand.Parameters.AddWithValue("@Des", desc); thisCommand.ExecuteNonQuery(); None of the other parameters cause a problem but when trying to insert data to the description field I get a database exception saying the field is too small to accept the amount of data. The problem is my program is only trying to insert 3 characters when it throws the error and the Description field is a memo so should be able to hold up to 65000+ characters. When inserting a value manually in the CommandText everything works fine so it must be something to do with the parameter properties.

  I'm trying to create a function to parse out all values in a multidimensional Array with all but one dimension given. The details are not relevant, but for this function I need to return an one-dimensional Array containing values of the same type the original multidimensional Array has. To pass any Array with any dimension to my function, I declared the type of this parameter as Array. However, how would I create a new Array of that specific type (e.g. Integer)? Currently I have the following code: Function GetRow(ByVal arr As Array) As Array Dim result As (...) 'This should be Integer() if arr contains Integers, etc. Return result End Function How do I declare the type of result to make it having the same type of values as arr?   I know only very little about C++/CLI, but I have a simple problem that needs a solution. I have a C++/CLI class method that takes a byte-array as a parameter. The array is of a pre-determined length, and can be allocated in C# beforehand. The array is supposed to be filled with data by the C++/CLI method. How do I declare the method and then call it from C#? I tried something like having the following in my C++/CLI class: public ref class C { public: void FillBytes(array<BYTE^>^ bytes); }; And then, in C#: o = new C(); var bytes = new byte[3]; o.FillBytes(bytes); But that didn't work at all :).

  I'm writing a Javascript function that would manipulate an array written on-the-fly and sent as a parameter. The function is written as follows: function returnJourney(animation,clean){ var properties = {}; // loads of other inane stuff for(i in animation[0]) properties[animation[0][i]] = animation[0].i; // heaps more inane stuff } The animation in question is a set of parameters for a jQuery animation. Typically it takes the format of ({key:value,key:value},speedAsInteger,modifierAsString). So to kick off initial debugging I call it with: returnJouney(({'foo':'bar'},3000),1); And straight off the bat things are way off. As far as I see it this would have returnJourney acknowledge clean === 1, and animation being an array with an object as its first child and the number 3000 as its second. Firebug tells me animation evaluates as the number 3000. What am I doing wrong?

If I do the following: command.Parameters.Add(new SqlParameter("@Bytes", SqlDbType.VarBinary)); command.Parameters[1].Direction = ParameterDirection.Output; I get: System.InvalidOperationException: Byte[][1]: the Size property has an invalid size of 0. I tried using rc:ClearSession=TRUE and i also tried sending a random parameter, but the report is still not being refreshed. Any ideas?
