• How do I detach a local SVN working copy?

  I cannot just rm -rf $(find . -name '.svn'), because I've got some directories in my working copy which are unversioned (on svn:ignore) and at the same time working copies of other svn repositories. my-repo |+ directory ||- .svn (to delete) ||- files... |+ another_directory ||- .svn (to delete) ||- files... |+ directory_ignored (svn:ignore) ||- .svn (different working copy) ||- more files ... So I'd like to just tell subversion to remove all .svn directories belonging to this working copy only. Is this possible? The directory structure is quite complex, so doing it manually would really suck.

• OnExit is not entering via PostSharp in asp.net project.

  Hi there, I have setup PostSharp and it appears to be working but i don't get it entering OnExit (i have logged setup to ensure it is working) ... Its a bit tricky to configure with asp.net - or is it just me ... I am using the 1.5 new version I basically have the following in my web.config and i had to add the SearchPath otherwise it can't find my assemblies <postsharp directory="C:\Program Files\PostSharp 1.5" trace="true"> <parameters> <!--<add name="parameter-name" value="parameter-value"/>--> </parameters> <searchPath> <!-- Always add the binary folder to the search path. --> <add name="bin" value="~\bin"/> </searchPath> </postsharp> I have set tracing on but what is strange to me is that it appears to build to the temp directory, maybe this is my issue, i am unsure .. hence i do F5 ... Is it possible to name the Output directory and output file?? As you can see it is editing a DLL in the temp dir so IIS is no longer in control so it doesn't execute it ??? • Servlet stops working on Tomcat server after some hits or time

  I have a very strange issue with some of my servlets. Below is my configuration: Folder A has X number of servlets deployed in Tomcat directory Folder B has Y number of servlets deployed in Tomcat directory After certain amount of time or hits to any of the servlets in Folder B, it stops working properly, whereas at same time all servlets of Folder A works fine. I am not able to trace where I am doing mistake. All coding for both folder's servlets is the same, the only difference is they are interacting with different DB's, but it is very simple read only operation with DB though. Any ideas?

  Hello! So I'm currently working on an ePub reader application, and I've been reading through a bunch of regular XML files just fine with System.Xml and XmlDocument: XmlDocument xmldoc = new XmlDocument(); xmldoc.Load(Path.Combine(Directory.GetCurrentDirectory(), "META-INF/container.xml")); XmlNodeList xnl = xmldoc.GetElementsByTagName("rootfile"); However, now I'm trying to open the XHTML files that contain the actual book text, and they're XHTML files. Now I don't really know the difference between the two, but I'm getting the following error with this code (in the same document, using the same XmlDocument and XmlNodeList variable) xmldoc.Load(Path.Combine(Directory.GetCurrentDirectory(), "OEBPS/part1.xhtml")); "WebException was unhandled: The remote server returned an error: (503) Server Unavailable" It's a local document, so I'm not understanding why it's giving this error?   I was trying to ssh into my Hostgator shared hosting account following this guide: http://support.hostgator.com/articles/getting-started/how-do-i-get-and-use-ssh-access However, it returns this error: Received disconnect from 96.125.167.124: 2: Too many authentication failures for tridn I tried to search around for a solution, and found this: http://www.ipreferjim.com/2011/07/hostgator-ssh-warns-too-many-authentication-failures/ I tried doing what he suggested, but encountered another error: jailshell: .ssh/authorized_keys: No such file or directory So I ssh into my server using the PubkeyAuthentication=n flag, and create a directory called .ssh and a file called authorized_keys. I then redid what was suggested in the article, which is this: cat ~/.ssh/hostgator.pub | ssh -p 2222 -o PubkeyAuthentication=no [email protected] 'cat >> .ssh/authorized_keys' (note: my ssh key is called hostgator.pub. it's dsa I verified that the authorized_keys now has the content of this key. However, it still get the same error as before: eceived disconnect from 96.125.167.124: 2: Too many authentication failures for tridn Anybody knows how I should proceed next?

• Web Deployment Projects for VS2010 on build server failing with Error MSB4086

  When I upgraded my Web Deployment Project from VS2008 to the VS2010 beta version, I was able to execute the build locally on my development box. However, when I tried to execute the build on our TeamCity build server, I began getting the following exception: C:\Program Files\MSBuild\Microsoft\WebDeployment\v10.0\Microsoft.WebDeployment.targets(162, 37): error MSB4086: A numeric comparison was attempted on "$(_SourceWebProjectPath.Length)" that evaluates to "" instead of a number, in condition "'$(_SourceWebProjectPath)' != '' And $(_SourceWebProjectPath.Length) >= 4)". I did install the Web Deployment Project addin on my build server and I did copy over the C:\Program Files (x86)\MSBuild\Microsoft\VisualStudio\v10.0\WebApplications directory on my development box to the C:\Program Files\MSBuild\Microsoft\VisualStudio\v10.0\ directory on the build server. Note: My dev box is 64bit and the build server 32bit. I can't figure out why this is behaving differently on the build server than on my dev machine. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Steve

  I'm attempting to create a Flex Project that will cause the Flash Player to cache the Flex framework. Flex Builder comes with Flex SDK 3.2.0.3958 and setting the Framework Linkage to use Runtime shared Library (RSL) under Project Properties - Flex Build Path will separate the framework from my main application and I see that my project's bin-debug directory contains framework_3.2.0.3958.swf and *.swz for distribution. Flex SDK 3.4 fixes a few bugs, so I configured it as another available sdk and set it as the default SDK. When I compile, I expect the bin-debug directory to contain framework_3.4.0.9271.swf and *.swz; however, Flex Builder is still writing framework_3.2.0.3958.swf and *.swz. How do I configure Flex Builder to package the correct framework files for Flash Player caching?

• Ant trouble with environment variables on Ubuntu

  Having some trouble with with ant reading environment variables in Ubuntu 9.10. Specifically, the build tasks my company uses has a token like ${env.CATALINA_HOME] in the main build.xml. I set CATALINA_HOME to the correct value in /etc/environment, ~/.pam_environment and (just to be safe) my .bashrc. I can see the correct value when I run printenv from bash, or when I eval (getenv "CATALINA_HOME") in emacs. Ant refuses to build to the correct directory though; instead I get a folder named ${env.CATALINA_HOME} in the same directory as my build.xml. Any idea what's happening there, and/or how to fix it?

• Missing ant-javamail.jar file on Macintosh

  I've been running the built-in Ant from the command line on a Macintosh (10.5.5) and have run into some trouble with the Mail task. Running the Mail task produces the following message: [mail] Failed to initialise MIME mail: org.apache.tools.ant.taskdefs.email.MimeMailer This is most likely due to a missing ant-javamail.jar file in the /usr/share/ant/lib directory. I see a "ant-javamail-1.7.0.pom" file in this directory but not the appropriate jar file. Anyone know why this jar file might be missing and what the best way to resolve the problem is?

  I wrote a system call that opens a directory and gets the file object and the dentry struct. Im trying to list all entries including entries in subdirectories using the list_for_each() macro. The problem is its only displaying whats currently in the dentry cache. If I open the directory with nautilus then rerun the system call, all the entries are listed.   This question is generally phrased as "How to share cookies across multiple subdomains" and the answer is generally to use the leading dot like so setcookie( 'id', 0, time()+30*3600, '/', '.example.com' ); which means that the cookie is available to all subdomains of example.com. However, the / path I suspect adds the constraint that all subdomains must be physically under the same tree. The PHP documentation states path The path on the server in which the cookie will be available on. If set to '/', the cookie will be available within the entire domain. If set to '/foo/', the cookie will only be available within the /foo/ directory and all sub-directories such as /foo/bar/ of domain. The default value is the current directory that the cookie is being set in. Is it possible to share cookies if one has two (Apache) Virtual Hosts set up with document roots at, for example www.one.example.com ? /var/www/example1 www.two.example.com ? /var/www/example2

• ASP.NET - Missing #includes cause compilation errors: Failed to map the path '...'

  I have an ASP.NET application which features some server-side includes. For example: <!--#include virtual="/scripts.inc" --> These files are not present in my ASP.NET website project because my website starts in a virtual directory: /path-to-my-application When I choose Build Web Site, I get this error: Failed to map the path '/scripts.inc' Visual Studio cannot resolve these include files that are defined at the root directory level. They are not visible in the website project. Aside from manually commenting out the #include references, is there any way I can get the website to build? Can I force Visual Studio to ignore those errors and compile the site? Once the website is pushed out to IIS, there is no problem, because all the #include files are in place. NOTE - Web Controls are not an option for this application. Please assume #include files are a requirement. Also, I cannot move the include files since they are used by other applications.

  I have an HttpHandler class (implements IHttphandler) where the path defined for the handler in web.config is *.jpg. I am requesting a Jpg image in my page. Within the HTTP Handler I am writing to a file in the filesystem. By mistake I was trying to write to a non existant directory. This should have thrown an exception but the execution simply proceeds.Ofcourse no file is writte. But if I give a proper directory the file is written correctly.Is there anything special about HttpHandler Exceptions. • How do I change apache2 DocumentRoot (default snow leopard install) and not get "You don't have perm

  I'm trying to point DocumentRoot at a directory in my user folder. While I can happily point DocumentRoot at /Library/WebServer/Documents and ~/Sites I keep getting "You don't have permission to access / on this server." when I point it anywhere else. OK, I just found a solution mid-question (stack overflow is just that good) by changing the user/group apache runs under to myuser/admin. I'm sure there must be a better way though. Surely some kind of permissions magic on the directory I'm pointing at?

• How do you fix an SVN 409 Conflict Error

  I used to use SVN 1.4 on OS X Leopard and everything was fine. A couple of weeks ago I installed a fresh copy of OS X 10.6. The version of SVN that comes with Snow Leopard is 1.6.5. I went ahead and built my own copy with 1.6.6. I'm using the built in apache server and just hosting repositories locally. Everything appeared to work fine until I actually tried to commit something. Everytime I try to commit a change, I get the following message: Transmitting file data .svn: Commit failed (details follow): svn: MERGE of '/svn/svn2': 409 Conflict (http://localhost) This happens with my old repositories, so I created a couple of new ones. Same deal. I also tried using the 1.6.5 version that comes with the system...same. Finally, I tried upgrading to the latest stable SVN (1.6.9) and still got the same problem.   I have two directory entries, a and b. Before, a and b point to different inodes. Afterwards, I want b to point to the same inode as a does. I want this to be safe - by which I mean if I fail somewhere, b either points to its original inode or the a inode. most especially I don't want to end up with b disappearing. mv is atomic when overwriting. ln appears to not work when the destination already exists. so it looks like i can say: ln a tmp mv tmp b which in case of failure will leave a 'tmp' file around, which is undesirable but not a disaster. Is there a better way to do this? (what I'm actually trying to do is replace files that have identical content with a single inode containing that content, shared between all directory entries)

• GD DLL installation

  I'm using the JpGraph library(PHP graphing Lib). I'm getting the foll error: "JpGraph Error Your PHP installation does not seem to have the required GD 2.x library enabled. Please see the PHP documentation, "Image" section. Make sure that "php_gd2.dll" statement is uncomment in the [modules] section in the php.ini file" I uncommented the php_gd2.dll statement in php.ini(in C:\WINDOWS) and set the 'extension_dir' as extension_dir = C:\PHP\extensions (I have a extensions directory and put the php_gd2.dll in this directory ). I restarted IIS and when I fire up my webapp, it doesnt comeup. I commented out the php_gd2.dll and restarted IIS again. The webapp came up. I dont understand what I'm doing wrong. Here is the server config: Windows Server 2003, with IIS Version 6. The PHP version is 4.3.8

• XAML Serialization object not using asp.net shadow copy

  Hi, I'm having a problem where i use the XAML serializer / deserializer for a configuration type file that i have. The problem that i'm getting, is that the XAML serializer is returning objects from the assembly in the /Bin directory, while the rest of the web application is using assembly's stored in the ..../Temporary Files/.. directory. Is there any way to prevent this from happening? Is this a bug in the XAML serializer / assembly loading routines? Every time i compile i need to stop and start the asp.net application so the shadow copy and the bin are exactly the same file. Even when not making a change to the dll and recompiling still causes the problem. Any thoughts on how to get around this problem? Currently i've tried turning shadow copy off, but then i have the same problem of needing to shut down / start up the web app every time i compile. Help!

• WebSharingAppDemo-CEProviderEndToEnd Queries peerProvider for NeedsScope before any files are batche

  I'm building an application based on the WebSharingAppDemo-CEProviderEndToEnd. When I deploy the server portion on a server, the code gives the error "The path is not valid. Check the directory for the database." during the call to NeedsScope() in the CeWebSyncService.cs file. Obviously the server can't access the client's sdf but what is supposed to happen to make this work? The app uses batching to send the data and the batches have to be marshalled across to the temp directory but this problem is occurring before any files have been batched over. There is nothing for the server to look at to determine whether the peerProivider needs scope.
