  • Loop through text nodes inside a div

    I am trying to do a text replace, but to do so, i need to loop through the text nodes of a div. Each Div upon clicking, loads via ajax it's appropriate content. But then I need to do text-replacing inside any of the text nodes inside there. My current code, after loading the ajax content, loops through all text nodes of the whole page, and therefore is too resource intensive. I have been looking for hours trying to find out how to both loop thru a div, and get the text nodes... and this has to work in firefox, google chrome and ie6. Any thoughts or suggestions?

  • Client side templating with unknown variables

    Our company has an intranet consisting of several e-mail templates filled with variables (like [[NAME]], [[PROJECT]] and so on). I was thinking of implementing some sort of client side templating to make it easier to replace these variables with actual values. The problem is that among all the client side template solutions I've located so far, all of them seem to assume that the JS code knows all the template variables that exist in the markup, and none of them seem to be able to fetch a list of variables defined in the markup. Does anyone know of any solutions/plugin which makes this possible? Thanks in advance!

  • Hold i ajax call in every minute calling section

    i am calling ajax every second in page.. Here the server page returns randomly generated number,using this number(converted into seconds) i am triggering another function in ajax success .it works My problem suppose random number = 5 means trigger() function called after 5 seconds using setTimeout,but rember ajax call is triggering every 1 second so trigger function also called many time. i want to make ajax call wait untill trigger function execution.Which means i wanna pause that ajax call untill 5 seconds after that resume How can i do this ?   • Updatepanel refresh messing up JqueryUI in IE7

    Hey everyone, This is a bit of a long shot as I don't have access to the code at the moment. However, there's nothing 'special' about the code. I'm using a combination of JqueryUI and ASP.NET UpdatePanels. If I click any of the trigger controls (asp.net button), the partial-postbacks are fine. However, if I click on a trigger control after clicking on a JQueryUI button, then the entire layout messes up and a lot of the content moves upwards. I can just about reach a JQueryUI button, and when I click that, the layout returns to normal and everything's fine until I click the trigger control again. The page works fine in all latest browsers, but this problem appears in IE 7. I hope maybe someone has come across a similar problem in IE 7 and found a workaround/solution. I've been trying to fix it for a couple of days, but no luck. Thanks for any advice.

Basically if I write: foreach (ListItem item in items) { item.Text = "something"; } I want it to appear in the correct colours like it does in my Visual Studio or here at stack*overflow*. I'm bored of styling the colours of each key word manually. Is there a pre-existing javascript library I can use?

    Hello, Can someone help me with this I am trying to set and catch the url variable It begins with a form wich has the standard action set to "/autorisation/logout" Then a button with an inline javascript function function tbPayout() { parent.location = "/autorisation/logout?rcgo=payout"; return true; } <input src="/images/go02.gif" type=image border=0 name="go1" onClick="return tbPayout();"> In the autorisation controller I try to catch it if ( isset($_GET['rcgo']) ) { but it doesn't work and I can't see the variable in the url and therefore the default forms action is performed? I also have another redirect page with content="3; url=http://www.domain.nl/index/index?rcgo=logout" /> and that works fine How can I get the javascript to work because I have three submit buttons that need to be set to different get variables. When the image is fully loaded then it should be displayed instead of the wait gif.   • Jeditable setting default selected value after change.

    My app allows the user to update a field via a drop down box using jeditable. When the program is loaded i created this function to get the selected value and set it as the selected value in jeditable.   • Accordion - Expand/Collapse - but first panel is opened and screws it up

    Hey guys, I've got an accordion which has the first panel opened on default by throwing in: $("h4#open").trigger('click'); (which triggers the first panel to act as if the h4 link were clicked, and thus opened...) But this seems to screw up the only way I can think of expanding / collapsing all the panels. I have this code to expand / collapse: $("a.ex-col").click(function(){ $("div.accordion div").slideToggle("slow"); return false; }); When using this, all the panels toggle open and close except any panel that happens to be open (or closed) at the time. How can I keep the default div opened on load, while also expanding / collapsing with the rest of them? Thanks.

  • textbox not getting refreshed

    i am doing an ajax call and i refresh a partial view. Inside the partial view i have this: <%=Html.TextBox("instance.Id", Model.Id)%> when i put a breakpoint here over Model.Id it has a number in it but after the ajax refresh is done the textbox just shows up with a 0. When i do a full browser refresh, the correct number shows up in the textbox. when i use firebug to look at data in my callback i see this: <input id="instance_Id" name="instance.Id" type="text" value="0" /> Everything else in the partial view refreshes fine. any ideas on what could be going wrong here?

  • Need to add totals of select list, and subtract if taken away

    This is the code I am using to calculate the sum of two values (example below) http://www.healthybrighton.co.uk/wse/node/1841 This works to a degree. It will add the two together but only if #edit-submitted-test is selected first, and even then it will show NaN until I select #edit-submitted-test-1. I want it to calculate the sum of the fields and show the amount live, i.e. the value of edit-submitted-test-1 will show 500, then if i select another field it will update to 1000. If i take one selection away it will then subtract it and will be back to 500. Any ideas would be helpful thanks!     This is probably really stupid but i can't find the problem with my code. It fetches a url that returns json and the function is then supposed to return a string: function getit() { var ws_url = 'example.com/test.js'; var user = false; $.getJSON(ws_url, function(data) { alert('user '+data.user);//shows john user = data.user || false; } ); return user;//should return john but returns false } test.js will have something like this: {"id":"12","username":"ses","user":"john","error":""} or like this: {"error":"123"} I also tried if(data.user){}else{} but it didn't work either..     i see that in tableSorter you can sort one page at a time which concerns me. Only 1 page of results can be sorted at a time?, which is pretty limiting.
