  • dark VS2008, Windows 7 theme, configuration

    So there's plenty of vs.settings files for nice dark syntax highlighting in VS2008, but I find them basically unusable since they're surrounded by an otherwise white visual studio application and general windows environment. I'd like an adequate dark windows 7 theme I can use while coding in VS. All of the 3rd party Win7 themes (that utilize the patched system files) I've come across have had fairly major problems and were unusable for one reason or another. Does anyone out there have a dark theme + VS combination they're actually happy with?

  • how to install 13.04 on a partitioned hardrive

    First, not a computer literate person, not even a novice- so please use small words. I recently made the switch to ubuntu, it came preloaded on my new laptop that I order from a big tech dot com site. The version on it is 12.04 (i think) and 64bit. This system has a lot that I like but it is quirky for me to say the least. Apparently I have held broken packages and have no way of knowing how to find them. I discovered this when trying to download (from software center) VLC so that I could watch some movies I had on an external hard-drive. Unmet dependencies error and held broken package errors abound while trying to fix the problem. Ive scoured this site and other and followed almost all the suggestions to a T but still I am unable to fix anything. My computer is partitioned (but I don't even know how to get to the otherside so to speak). I would like to know; can I put the newer 13.04 OS on one side of the partition and then delete the older version on the other side? or, can I install 13.04 over the existing 12.04? What would I need to do this? An obstacle that I have is this, I am currently serving in Afghanistan so going someplace to buy something or running down to a computer store for service support is out of the question. I very much appreciate your help, cause right now this computer is nothing more than a word processor, which would be fine if all i wanted was a word processor. Thanks in advance.

  • creating a .sh file programmatically under windows and running it on a linux system from cygwin

    i want to write program, in windows, which will write a .sh file, then connect to a linux machine via cygwin and ssh, and execute that .sh file. I've had to use dos2unix to convert .sh files that I created in windows to run under linux. Obviously if I am executing a script with ssh it will have to be linux formatted to work. so I need to know how to create a linux appropriate .sh file using c or openoffice basic or vBA. thanks!

    Hi, I'm using hessian protocol for communication betwee server (java) and various client applications. Now I started to develop Windows Phone 7 client. I downloaded hessian C# implementation but it does not compile for windows phone 7/silverlight. Does anyone managed to make it work on WP7/Silverlight? It's looks like there is many thing to be done/changed to make it work, which I'd like to avoid if it has been done by someone already. Thanks.

  • Install VirtualBox Guest Additions "Feisty Fawn"

    I am trying to install the virtualbox guest additions into a feisty fawn (7.04) VM. The problem I am running into is that when I Click install guest additions, or place the iso in the drive manually, the disk never shows up in the machine. I even manually mounted and went to the mounted directory and it was empty. When using the file browser, doubling clicking on the cdrom yields Unable to mount the selected volume. mount: special device /dev/hdc does not exist. Secondly, I tried installing via repository... but according to the system, I have no internet connection. But, I can browse the web using firefox just fine (in the guest). Here is my /etc/network/interfaces file... code auto lo iface lo inet loopback auto eth0 iface eth0 inet dhcp I also tryed setting a static ip... auto lo iface lo inet loopback auto eth0 iface eth0 inet static address 192.168.1.253 netmask 255.255.255.0 gateway 192.168.1.1 The reason I am trying to get this particular installation running is because it is part of a book, "Hacking: The Art of Exploitation" (Jon Erickson), and is fully loaded wilh tools and such to go along exactly with the book.     I did some research on Google but I couldn't find any HTML5 browser for Windows Mobile 6. The main resource I'm looking for in HTML5 is WebDatabase and/or localStorage. With a little research I found Iris (http://www.freewarepocketpc.net/ppc-download-iris-browser.html), a Webkit based browser with some HTML5 features, but localStorage and Web Database doesn't work on it. Does anyone know any browser with storage capability for Windows Mobile 6?

If it is the true, then: Worker role should be state less OR Worker role should persist its state to Windows Azure storage services.     If I wanna authenticate windows accounts to AD when a user browses to an apache-running site on a Linux server, here are the usual suspects:   * mod_ntlm (which I used in a distant past) - last update on 2003 * mod_auth_ntlm_winbind - last update on 04/2007 * mod_auth_kerb - last update on 12/2008 No luck getting any of those to work with a recent, fully patched, windows 2000 AD server.   • Deallocation doesn't free mem. in Windows/C++ Application

    Hi, My Windows/C++ application allocates ~1Gb of data in memory with the new operator and processes this data. The data is deleted after processing. I noticed that if I run the processing again without exiting the application, the second call to "new" operator to allocate ~1gb of data fails. I would expect Windows to deliver back the memory again. Could this be managed in a better way with some other win32 calls etc. ? Thanks, Paul

    Hi all, Is it possible to create a certificate template that uses SHA-2 (sha256, sha224, sha384, sha512), from a Windows server 2003 CA? I know how to do it in Windows server 2008 based CA, with the new version (version 3) - it is possible to specify the hash algorithm (Under the "Cryptography" tab of the template properties).
