We also don't want to pay for expensive software tools until we get scrum working and get positive results. How can we implement scrum using a whiteboard without asking people to write down their time on the board and then also input into our own time tracking software?   Hi, This is a hypothetical question. If one would develop an iPhone/iPad (Universal) odds application, whould apple allow this to the appstore? This application would not let you bet on odds directly, but would collect odds from different odds sites and show them to the user.   I have 2 samples that effectively do the same thing -- Sample 1: command.Parameters.Add(ParamFoo, SqlDbType.Int) command.Parameters(ParamFoo).Value = fooVal Sample 2: command.Parameters.AddWithValue(ParamBar, barVal) Which sample would be recommended? I know that the second sample is making some conversions. Wouldn't it be best to not require conversions and go with the first sample?

  would anybody care to comment on this piece of code? It allows you to do "prev" or "next" once in the detail view of a uiviewcontroller. So, if you have 4 uiviewcontrollers, you can navigate from #3 to #2 with previous or #3 to #4 with next.   Generally I use lxml for my HTML parsing needs, but that isn't available on Google App Engine. The obvious alternative is BeautifulSoup, but I find it chokes too easily on malformed HTML. Currently I am testing libxml2dom and have been getting better results. Which pure Python HTML parser have you found performs best? My priority is the ability to handle bad HTML over speed.

• How to safely store encryption key in a .NET assembly

  In order to prevent somebody from grabbing my data easily, I cache data from my service as encrypted files (copy protection, basically). However, in order to do this, I must store the encryption key within the .NET assembly so it is able to encrypt and decrypt these files. Being aware of tools like Red Gate's .NET Reflector which can pull my key right out, I get a feeling that this is not a very safe way of doing it... are there any best practices to doing this?

  I'm wondering what's the easiest/best way to determine if a sound, being recorded on the iPhone mic, is above a certain frequency. My guess is that I would need to use the Audio Queue Services since I don't need to record the audio to a file. I'm using SDK 4.0, so I can use the FFT functions in the Accelerate framework if needed.
