  • How do I define the default background color for window instances in a shared ResourceDictionary?

    I can't seem to set a default background color for all of my windows in my application. Does anyone know how to do this? Currently I'm setting a theme in my App.xaml file like this. <Application> <Application.Resources> <ResourceDictionary Source="Themes/SomeTheme.xaml" /> This basically styles my entire application. Inside of SomeTheme.xaml I am trying to set a default color for all of my windows like this. <Style TargetType="{x:Type Window}"> <Setter Property="Background" Value="{DynamicResource MainColor}" /> </Style> This syntax works on a type of Button, but is completely ignored for Window. What am I doing wrong? Is there something special I have to do for a Window type.

  • Failed to load resource: the server responded with a status of 406 (Not Acceptable)

    I am trying to send json data and get back json data as well. I've <annotation-driven /> configured in my servlet-context.xml and I am using Spring framework version 3.1.0.RELEASE. When I send the request the browser tells me that it is not happy with the data returned from the server and gives me 406 error. And when I see the response from the server I see the whole 406 page returned by tomcat 6 server. However I would like to know if there is any service that enables the playback of audio after the user exits the application? I know that SDK 4.0 promises multitasking and background processes of the application. But i would like to know if this is enabled for audio playback in the earlier versions?

I want if user has selected some text in any control of any form of my application and click on cut/copy/paste button on toolbar operation get performed accordingly. i m using C#.net's sendkeys.send("^c") on click of copy button but it doesn't work... OR any 1 can tell if is there any way to get selected text (despite of knowing, which form/control of my application). Thanks in advance...

  • Why wouldn't an embedded silverlight control work in a page?

    Hi, I have a silverlight application project in my solution. The other project is a web application project that has a .xap file in ClientBin. When I created the silverlight project, it asked if I wanted the asp.net application to host it (and I said yes). In the root directory, there is a test page for the silverlight control. That loads the control. In another directory, I insert the SAME asp markup to get the silverlight control to launch again. Nothing happens. Why would the silverlight launch on one page and not on the other? Can people help point me to documentation about dependencies that I might not know about? I've put a reference to Silverlight.js on the page as well.     I am monitoring my application using Activity Monitor and whenever NSOpenPanel is called the application appears as having 9 threads and stays like that until the application is closed. Is there a way to release those threads?, Or am I simply misunderstanding what the threads number means?, surely it isn't a good thing to have them open for no reason. Any help would be appreciated

  • How do I gain permissions to a Sql Compact Database?

    I have an Sql Compact Database v3.5 that I'm bundling with my application. When the application is installed, the database is copied into the application's Program Files directory. Because of Vista and Win7's security settings, the installed application can't access the database file. It is merely a problem of having the database file reside in the Program Files. The solution I have thought of is to copy the file into Program Data, but does anyone have another solution? I am sure others have come across a similar problem. Thanks in advance for your input.

  • Getting 0x80131902 when calling COM+ component

    I created a COM+ component in .Net. It needs to use a configuration file, so I've created a directory with an application.manifest and application.config file and set that as the Application Root Directory. Now when I try to create an instance of that object, I get the following HRESULT: 0x80131902. I can't seem to find exactly what this means, except that there is a problem loading the app-domain. If I don't set the Application Root Directory, it loads just fine (but doesn't have access to the config).

    Hi, In my application I have 15 screens in that i m using UIViewController for all screens and in all screens i m using the below way to call other screen :- AppDelegate *appRefre = (AppDelegate *)[[UIApplication sharedApplication]delegate]; [self.navigationController pushViewController:appRefre.frmReferencesLink animated:YES]; And the below code is activated in all screen for orientation to control the user to switch from one orientation to other mode (BOOL)shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation)interfaceOrientation { if (interfaceOrientation == UIInterfaceOrientationPortrait) { return YES; } else { return NO; } } But when i run my application in iPhone device my application gets terminated when i physically rotate my iphone device from UIInterfaceOrientationPortrait to UIInterfaceOrientationPortraitUpsideDown or UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeLeft,UIInterfaceOrientationLandscapeRight. And One more things is that when my application lauch i used following code for launching my appliaction :- 1) I made a pointer in mydelegate.h file: UINavigationController *navigationController; Then synthesize its property @property(nonatomic,retain)UINavigationController *navigationController 2) In mydelegat.m I Wrote @synthesize navigationController; (void)applicationDidFinishLaunching:(UIApplication *)application { navigationController = [[UINavigationController alloc] initWithRootViewController:DefaultViewLink]; [window addSubview:navigationController.view]; [window makeKeyAndVisible]; } 3) In above point DefaultView is launch first and gets remove from view and then actual my appliaction come into picture. So exactly what i want i want my appliaction to be in portrait mode for all screens i dont want my appliaction will switch to other mode.It remains the same as in portrait mode after rotation to any other mode.     Hi: I have a application which require login,but the number of user who use the application is no more than 40. And In the application,I get some data from the sql server database where I juse have read permission,also I can not create a table in the db for user validate. ALso I do not think it is a good idea to create a user table in other database on another machine.(for example,I can create a user table in the mysql another machine,but is it desireable just for user validating)? Now I just save the user info in a .properties file,any other good idea? BTW,the programe language used in my application is java.

  • Looking for suggestions about an architecture of a MultiThreaded app.

    Hello everyone. I am looking to develop a multithreaded application that will be running in unconditional loop and processing high volume of data. High volume is 2000+ records per minute. Processing will involve data retrieval, calculations and data updates. I need the application to perform so that there is virtually no back log, meaning i need to be able to finish up all of the 2000 points in one minute or even faster. Our current implementation features a multithreaded application that is spawn multiple times (from 10 to 20) and we are noticing that it's not handling data as expected and i even feel that instances of the application compete with each other for processor time and eventually if not slowing, not benefiting each other for sure. I would like to know what would be the best approach: have a single instance running but maximize threads that can run simultaneously? or is there other ways i don't know? I'm open to suggestions. This is my first time making a "real" commercial application, and I would appreciate some advice on how best to go about including their source codes.
