  • CSS styles are not applied to elements added to JavaFX component tree

    I have applied CSS style to JavaFX components and it looks like everything is working fine except one situation: when I add JavaFX components to component tree on-the-fly their CSS styles are not applied. For example following code: package test; import javafx.stage.Stage; import javafx.scene.Scene; import javafx.scene.shape.Rectangle; import javafx.scene.input.MouseEvent; import javafx.util.Math; import javafx.scene.paint.Color; function getRect(): Rectangle { return Rectangle { x: 230 * Math.random() y: 60 * Math.random() width: 20, height: 20 styleClass: "abc" } } def stage: Stage = Stage { scene: Scene { width: 250, height: 80 stylesheets: "{__DIR__}main.css" content: [ Rectangle { x: 0, y: 0, width: 250, height: 80 fill: Color.WHITE onMouseClicked: function (evt: MouseEvent): Void { insert getRect() into stage.scene.content; } } getRect() ] } } with following stylesheet: .abc { fill: red; } in main.css file (both in test package) display red square on white background, but after clicking the main rectangle black (not red) squares are added to scene. I noticed that: Components added dynamically look just like style information was not applied. If you set their style in JavaFX code then everything works fine. After changing stylesheets property (so that it points to another valid stylesheet) the objects already added render properly. Does anyone know the solution to this problem? I could of course put all the properties into JavaFX code or provide another stylesheet (for every existing stylesheed) that would contain the same data and change stylesheet right after adding any component, but I would like to find some elegant solution.     Hi, I'd like to have the same Jetty server configuration, created programatically. When I run mvn jetty:run-exploded, my app works fine. When I run it from my code, the static content is not loaded. I know that I have to add a static content Servlet, so I tried: Server server = new Server(8080); Context ctx = new Context( server, "/", Context.SESSIONS ); DefaultServlet defaultServlet = new DefaultServlet(); ServletHolder defaultSH = new ServletHolder( defaultServlet ); defaultSH.setInitParameter( "resourceBase", "./"); ctx.addServlet( defaultSH, "/img" ); ctx.addServlet( defaultSH, "/css" ); ctx.addServlet( defaultSH, "/js" ); I am assuming that the pwd is in the webapp's "root", i.e. where the WEB-INF dir is.     I would like to create a cacheable HTTP response for a POST request. My actual implementation responses the following for the POST request: HTTP/1.1 201 Created Expires: Sat, 03 Oct 2020 15:33:00 GMT Cache-Control: private,max-age=315360000,no-transform Content-Type: application/x-www-form-urlencoded; charset=UTF-8 Content-Length: 9 ETag: 2120507660800737950 Last-Modified: Wed, 06 Oct 2010 15:33:00 GMT ......... But it looks like that the browsers (Safari, Firefox tested) are not cacheing the response. In the HTTP RFC the corresponding part says: Responses to this method are not cacheable, unless the response includes appropriate Cache-Control or Expires header fields. However, the 303 (See Other) response can be used to direct the user agent to retrieve a cacheable resource. So I think it should be cached. I know I could set a session variable and set a cookie and do a 303 redirect, but I want to cache the response of the POST request. Is there any way to do this? P.S.: I've started with a simple 200 OK, so it does not work. Thanks,

    Is there an XPath way of recovering directly one specific attribute of preceding sibling nodes of an XML node using an XPath query? In the following example, I would like to retrieve the values of the alt attribute of each img nodes that precede the div element marked with the id=marker. <content> <img alt="1" src="file.gif" /> <img alt="2" src="file.gif" /> <img alt="3" src="file.gif" /> <img alt="4" src="file.gif" /> <div id='marker'></div> </content> For this example, I want to retrieve the values 1 2 3 4. I want a buyer to be forwarded to a success page after making a purchase, and I want that page to show the details of their transaction. I choose IPN instead of the PDT because I also want to do some other behind the scenes stuff with their data.   • Netbeans (PHP) catching syntax error on xml declaration

    Hello. I've just installed and configured Netbeans to work with PHP (including xdebug), and almost everything is working as intended, except that I've been getting "errors" in the IDE after I edited the default webpage template to comply with xhtml 1.1. The template is this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="${project.encoding}" ?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=${project.encoding}" /> <title></title> </head> <body> </body> </html> These are the errors I receive (I can't post images yet). Page is created OK, character encoding is inherited from project's settings as expected. It's probably something to do with the xml declaration on top of the document, but I don't really know how to "tune" Netbeans to ignore it and not show the 3 errors on every page I create. The warning is there because NB does not recognize the xhtml 1.1 DTD, so it falls back to html 4.01, which does not support the xmlns attribute in the html tag - and that's the only thing I could find searching around. It will be fixed in the next version, so I'm not worried about it. I know there's nothing wrong with the markup, but there's probably something I'm missing in NB configuration, and I would like to get rid of those messages because they pretty much take all the space I reserve for errors/warnings/tasks. So is there any way I can either make NB recognize this xml declaration or make it ignore these specific "errors"? Thanks.

    Let me describe my question - I have a Java application - Hibernate as the DB interfacing layer over MySQL. I get the communications link failure error in my application. The occurence of this error is a very specific case. I get this error , When I leave mysql server unattended for more than approximately 6 hours (i.e. when there are no queries issued to MySQL for more than approximately 6 hours). I am pasting a top 'exception' level description below, and adding a pastebin link for a detailed stacktrace description. javax.persistence.PersistenceException: org.hibernate.exception.JDBCConnectionException: Cannot open connection - Caused by: org.hibernate.exception.JDBCConnectionException: Cannot open connection - Caused by: com.mysql.jdbc.exceptions.jdbc4.CommunicationsException: Communications link failure - The last packet successfully received from the server was 1,274,868,181,212 milliseconds ago. The last packet sent successfully to the server was 0 milliseconds ago. - Caused by: java.net.ConnectException: Connection refused: connect the link to the pastebin for further investigation - http://pastebin.com/4KujAmgD What I understand from these exception statements is that MySQL is refusing to take in any connections after a period of idle/nil activity. I have been reading up a bit about this via google search, and came to know that one of the possible ways to overcome this is to set values for c3p0 properties as c3p0 comes bundled with Hibernate. Specifically, I read from here http://www.mchange.com/projects/c3p0/index.html that setting two properties idleConnectionTestPeriod and preferredTestQuery will solve this for me. But these values dont seem to have had an effect. Is this the correct approach to fixing this? If not, what is the right way to get over this?     Hi. I have 2 datagrids with data that binds at loadtime in xaml. Then I have a button that inserts a row in the database, but rows aren't added to the datagrids when I press the button. I would like a fix that doesn't just add a gridrow, but actually refreshes the data and fetches the new row from the db.     I have this code that has one button that let's me choose an entry from contacts, and passes that choesn contact to onActivityResult function. My question is how do I select data of that single contact when all that is passed is an Intent in data variable. That data variable, if converted to string shows something like "dat: content://contacts/people/4" so I see that selected contact is somehow passed, but what now? How to get that data? And also all I found by googling was examples with deprecated class People, so I don't know how too use new classes. Please help. I have one app that needs to connect to one webservice to receive data (about YouTube videos), Then I have all the things that I need to connect (Similar to Hello_Soap sample code in the web). But now, my problem is that I create a class (inherits from NSObject) named Connection and I have implemented the methods: didReceiveResponse, didReceiveData, didFailWithError and connectionDidFinishLoading.   • IO operation taking long time for files in remote server

    I have files of size 150 MB each in a remote server in a different domain in the network. I am accessing them thorugh UNC path. I want to read the file content and perform a basic string search. When I try reading the files line by line, the operation just don't finish and takes long time, more than 30 minutes. However when I copy those files to my local machine, the same code reads and performs the string search in less than 5 seconds. I don't have .NET framework installed in the server so I have to do this from my machine. I want to perform all this through C# code in .NET framework 3.5 so I don't want to explictly ftp all the files to my machine before performing this operation.     I am writing a script which will basically do the following: Read from a text file some arguements: DriveLetter ThreeLetterCode ServerName VolumeLetter Integer Eg. W MSS SERVER01 C 1 These values happen to form a folder destination W:\MSS\, and a filename which works in the following naming convention: SERVERNAME_VOLUMELETTER_VOL-b00X-iYYY.spi - Where The X is the Integer above The value Y I need to work out later, as this happens to be the value of the incremental image (backups) and I need to work out the latest incremental. So at the moment -- Count lines in file, and loop for this many lines. $lines = Get-Content -Path PostBackupCheck-Textfile.txt | Measure-Object -Line for ($i=0; $i -le $lines.Lines; $i++) Within this loop I need to do a Get-Content to read off the line I am currently looking at i.e. line 0, line 1, line 2, as there will be multiple lines in the format I wrote at the beginning and split the line into an array, whereby each part of the file, as seen above naming convention, is in a[0], a[1], a[2]. etc The reason for this is because, I need to then sort the folder that contains these, find the latest file, by date, and take the _iXXX.spi part and place this into the array value a[X] so I then have a complete filename to mount. This value will replace iYYY.spi It's a little complex because I also have to make sure when I do a Get-ChildItem with -Include before I sort it all by date, I am only including the filename that matches the arguements fed to it from the text file : So, SERVER01_C_VOL-b001-iYYY.spi and not anything else. i.e. not SERVER01_D_VOL-b001-iYYY.spi Then take the iYYY value from the sort on the Get-ChildItem -Include and place that into the appropriate array item.     thanks for help, ended up with this html{ position:relative; min-width:950px; height:100%; background:black url(images/GrassBG.png) repeat-y top center; font:13px "Lucida Grande",Helvetica,Arial,sans-serif; } body.main{ width:950px; margin:0 auto; position:relative; } is there any way when using a div for a background image- to limit the height to only the content displayed? im putting the background image in a div because i want it centered via position:relative but the image doesnt show up unless i put a height on the div, and thats not what i want because i dont want to be able to just scroll down to the bottom of the image where theres no content ive tried putting the background image on the body css but if the browser is less than the width of the image, it just throws it over to the left and you can only see half of it- is there no way to make the background position:relative on the body? sorry if that doesnt make sense < thanks why can you not use Position:relative; on the body?

    I have a few HTML files that I'd like to include via tags in my webapp. Within some of the files, I have pseudo-dynamic code - specially formatted bits of text that, at runtime, I'd like to be resolved to their respective bits of data in a MySQL table. For instance, the HTML file might include a line that says: Welcome, [username]. I want this resolved to (via a logged-in user's data): Welcome, [email protected]. This would be simple to do in a JSP file, but requirements dictate that the files will be created by people who know basic HTML, but not JSP. Simple text-tags like this should be easy enough for me to explain to them, however. I have the code set up to do resolutions like that for strings, but can anyone think of a way to do it across files? I don't actually need to modify the file on disk - just load the content, modify it, and output it w/in the containing JSP file. I've been playing around with trying to load the files into strings via the apache readFileToString, but I can't figure out how to load files from a specific folder within the webapp's content directory without hardcoding it in and having to worry about it breaking if I deploy to a different system in the future.
