    Based on many online sources, in serving static files, Apache2 will create new thread on every different connection... results in resource hungry But how about serving PHP through Apache2 (mod_php, MPM worker, etc)? Does apache will also open new thread like serving static files? (AFAIK, in nginx php-fpm, we can set the max thread, but I dont know how many connection per thread) I'm planning to use Apache2 in serving PHP, and hope it will be same as nginx PHP-FPM or even better in resource usage and performance.

  • Unable to add certificate to the Trusted Root Certification Authorities in Windows 7

    I am trying to add an apple developer certificate for sending Push notifications to my Trusted Root Certification Authorities section. I get an error like so: "The import failed because the store was read only, the store was full or the store did not open correctly" I am logged in as an administrator.   • Windows 7 boot log missing?

    After hitting F8 before startup and selecting "enable boot logging", I let windows try to start up and blue screen / restart (which I'm currently trying to troubleshoot) - I run the 'repair' function, open a command prompt, and try to find the boot log file, which I expected to be at %SystemRoot%\ntbtlog.txt - but it's not. Where is it? PS - probably makes no difference, but this is windows 7 ultimate 64bit to be precise.

    Hello, I was wondering if there are any free / open source solutions that will start and stop a windows service based on load? I have some pubsub subscriber services that do background work which is not critical. Ideally i would like tot be able to automate things so that these services could start if memory/cpu/disk i/o was under a certain threshold and stop gracefully if that threshold was met. Another web site suggested the following For Windows 7, the folder should be Users[username]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\QuickStyles. Open Word File options advanced Scroll all the way down to section titled “General” Click “File locations” Click “User templates” – this will bring you to templates but also quick styles folder I have no Quick Styles Folder in my Roaming file locations

  • Batch Conversion of PaperPort MAX Files

    I've got a library of MAX files from an old Visioneer Scanner that used ScanSoft PaperPort. I don't have the PC that I used to scan them anymore, and I don't have the CD for PaperPort. Does anyone know of a utility I can use to open and convert .MAX files to something more useful like a JPEG? (I'd prefer something that batch converts -- but if I can get a utility that will even allow one conversion, I could probably figure out how to use AutoHotkey or something like that to automate.)     Hi I am importing my project to another machine on my LAN to the directory: /srv/svn/repos/my-repo where my-repo was created via svnadmin create option The permissions of /srv/svn/repos/my-repo are drwxr-xr-x 6 svn svn 4096 2010-04-19 17:30 my-repo I executed following command to import myProject files to my-repo on remote system sudo svn import -m "First import" myProject svn+ssh://[email protected]/srv/svn/repos/my-repo This command started 'Adding' files but gave following error after 'Adding' 7 files svn: Can't open file '/srv/svn/repos/baltoros-valgrind/db/txn-current-lock': Permission denied Any idea whats going on...?     I have a number of Linux webservers for which I'd like to track where disk space is going and keep disk space to a minimum. Typically I login on SSH and use du to find out where disk space is wasted but this is cumbersome and slow. A visualisation tool like KDirStat would be ideal, but it requires installing an X server at the very least, which kind of defeats the purpose. Is there any web-based disk space visualizer? I'm open to alternative solutions.

At this point, the open office applicattion don't work and the documents don't be generated. How can I restart automatically the openoffice daemon when this problem happens?     I have all PostgreSQL databases backed up during incremental backups using WHM, which creates a $dbName.tar file. Data is stored in these .tar files, but I do not know how to restore it back into the individual databases via SSH. In particular the file location. I have been using: pg_restore -d client03 /backup/cpbackup/daily/client03/psql/client03.tar which generates the error 'could not open input file: Permission denied' Any assistance appreciated.

  • How force text-only pasting in emacs?

    On my mac I always have an emacs buffer open and occasionally I have to copy content from PowerPoint or Word. Unfortunately, copying to the clipboard and yanking into emacs saves all the ugly formatting (and graphics) from the original document. I only want to paste in the text (and never the formatting). My current solution is to paste into TextWrangler and then repaste into emacs. What's a better way to do this?

    Here's the scenario: Work network - I have a Mac and a PC - OS X is Snow Leopard - Windows 7 I am trying to connect to the PC from the Mac. IT ONLY works if I turn off the firewall in Windows. I tried to trace the port and connection it was using, it appears to be on port 445 via TCP. I really prefer not to leave this open, or is it OK? How can I only allow this connection while still leaving the firewall on?
