  We have a Continuous Integration environment setup with TeamCity and subversion. TeamCity gets the latest source from svn and does a build (Visual Studio) on every commit. Sometimes we get the following TeamCity error when the build runs. Doing a couple of force builds gets TeamCity running succesfully.   When I use WPF WebBrowser's NavigateToString method to display UTF8 html (with hebrew text in it) it's displayed perfectly. However, when I try to use the NavigateToString to display html with hebrew text in it in a non-utf8 encoding (CodePage 1255 to be exact) the hebrew is messed up. I checked the cp1255 string in Visual Studio's debugger and it looks great, and also when I save the source of the web browser's contents and open it with an external browser it looks great. If I use the NavigateToStream method instead of the NavigateToString method it works great. What's the problem with the NavigateToString? am I doing something wrong?

  In my VS2008 SP1, .NET 3.5 SP1 project, I have different classes that contain different properties. I use C#3.0 auto properties a lot. Some of these properties need to be collections. Since I want to make it simple, I use ReadOnlyCollection<T for these properties. I don't want to use IEnumerable<T since I want random access to the elements. I use Code Analysis (FxCop rules) and I get the CA2227 warning. I don't understand why does ReadOnlyCollection<T should have a set method while it can't be changed... The set method can only do exactly what the property can do.   I'm using Silverlight Beta 4 for a LOB application. After finding out today that I'll have to wait perhaps 4 months to be able to develop with SL4 on Visual Studio 2010 I'm thinking I need to downgrade my application to SL3 but thats another question. The problem is I'm noticing absolutely abismal performance for simple datagrids that work just fine on a PC when I'm running on a Mac. These grids contain only 5-10 columns and maybe 50 rows. Paging up and down takes about 1-2 seconds sometimes. I would appreciate anybody's experience in which of the following is the best solution: reverting to Silverlight 3 and hoping DataGrid is faster switching to 3rd party datagrid such as Telerik forgetting silverlight altogether I was hoping that possibly SL4 runtime might be updated but that won't happen probably for 3-4 months. Just a reminder - this is specifically a mac issue. Performance on my PC while slightly slow to populate the grid initially is fine.

  Hi Everyone, I have problems deploying MVC2 application to my hosting. It shows the following error: Could not load type 'System.Web.Mvc.UrlParameter' from assembly 'System.Web.Mvc, Version=2.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=31bf3856ad364e35'. It looks like it does not understand the new "optional URL parameters" feature of MVC2. This is just a simple test application I created with "New Project" wizard in VWD 2008. It works ok localy both in IIS and Visual Studio web servers. MVC1 web sites are working ok on the hosting server. I've contacted the hosting support and they installed MVC2 but the problem still exists. The web site is working in ASP.NET 2.0 integrated pipeline mode. Does anyone know why it is happening? • Custom CheckBox in WPF DataGrid does not update binding

  In my Visual Studio 2010 WPF application, I have the following (simplified) style: <Style x:Key="MyStyle" TargetType="{x:Type CheckBox}"> <Setter Property="Background" Value="Blue" /> </Style> If I use it as the ElementStyle AND EditingElementStyle in my DataGridCheckBoxColumn: <DataGridCheckBoxColumn Binding="{Binding IsEnabled}" ElementStyle="{StaticResource MyStyle}" EditingElementStyle="{StaticResource MyStyle}" /> Then my binding, IsEnabled, does not toggle when I check/uncheck a row's checkbox. If I remove either ElementStyle, EditingElementStyle, or both, then the binding updates no problem. Why is this?! Also, I tried to work around the problem using the following code: <DataGridTemplateColumn> <DataGridTemplateColumn.CellTemplate> <DataTemplate> <CheckBox IsChecked="{Binding IsEnabled}" /> </DataTemplate> </DataGridTemplateColumn.CellTemplate> </DataGridTemplateColumn> However, the problem remains.

• ASP.NET PageMethods and The HTTP verb POST used to access path is not allowed

  So, I'm using URL routing with WebForms. I run locally through the Visual Studio web server, and everything is hunky-dory. I deploy locally to IIS (XP, so it's IIS5), and therefore I need to make sure that I have my app wildcard mapped so the URL routing is handled properly. However, doing this makes all my PageMethods fail with this message: The HTTP verb POST used to access path is not allowed Something like /default.aspx/SendMessage does not work. I've seen solutions that exclude .svx and .asmx files, however, since this is a page method, this is a .aspx file. I know the solution is to move these files outside of .aspx, however, I have quite a few functions throughout the site in these various files. I guess I could create a single web service, and have all the functions there, however, I'm curious if there's a quick and easy way to fix this? Thanks all, -Steve
