  When I do some stuff in background (unpacking, compiling, backup, etc.) my hdd is under load and for example, Firefox and Chromium take very long to start and react very slow. While my hdd is under load I have still plenty of free RAM and free CPU. How can I copy the whole Firefox or Chromium including all dependencies into RAM? I don't care about persistence, I just want to view some websites, videos, etc. There are instructions putting the cache into /dev/shm, but that didn't speed up so much. Getting the profile into the RAM drive might also be easy... But how to get the binaries with all dependencies into RAM?

  We have a bigger website running that offers a JsonRpc web service. For offline demonstration purposes I want to realize a portable, locally running webserver with a minimalistic feature replication of the live webservice, and bundle this together with Html files which do Ajax requests to it. This local server executable should have as little dependencies as possible. It's gonna be run and presented by non-devs on non-dev Windows machines, so I would prefer having a simple executable plus the service code - whereas language doesn't matter as long as it is .NET, PHP or Java. I'll need a small database behind which probably will be Sqlite. It's important to say that for some reasons we cannot use the original web service code, but we have to rewrite it new for the local demo server, this is why I want to put minimal effort in the local server tech. An installer for distribution is not mandatory, it's okay to have a zip file with an executable in it which starts up the local webserver. What would you recommend realizing these requirements? I've done some research already, but would love to here your opinions and get some pointers!

These sites direct leads to our realtors, and provide us with reports every month detailing the activity our listings have had on their site-- links back to our website, emails generated, etc. Our Marketing and Advertising departments want to take that information and enter it into a system to keep track of everything in one place, for the purpose of producing comparison reports.   I have around 15 templates (this will grow) and each template will have around 10-15 questions. Each question can have answers in different format like text box, list box, dropdown, radio button etc. I need to show one template in a page, at a time based on the input I am getting. What would be the best design approach for this? Put questions data in database and Create dynamic control? Putting in xml and display using xslt? Creating static set of templates? Or any other approach? I don't have too much time to do this. I am going to use Silverlight for this.
