  • How do you transfer data from SQL Server to db4o?

    I came across this question after searching for a ODBC or JDBC. To my surprise, since I am new to db4o I found there are tools to browse db4o, including a Netbeans and Eclipse plug in. However, when it comes to the question at hand, I only found one company, and the product is not being sold nor demoed (makes me think is not ready yet). So, how do you transfer data? Is there a tool or script I have not found yet?

  • How to override Equals on a object created by an Entity Data Model?

    I have an Entity Data Model that I have created, and its pulling in records from a SQLite DB. One of the Tables is People, I want to override the person.Equals() method but I'm unsure where to go to make such a change since the Person object is auto-generated and I don't even see where that autogen code resides. I know how to override Equals on a hand made object, its just where to do that on an autogen one.

    I am coding a simple space empire management game in Visual C# 2008, which relies on connecting to a remote SQL server database to get/store data. I would like the user to be able to connect to a user-specified SQL server from the login screen(he specifies IP address, port, database name, ID, password and presses "connect" button). However, I found out that the Dataset connection string property is read only and cannot be changed. Is there any way to guide the wizard-generated DataSet to a user-specified server at run time?

    I'm designing a protocol (in C) to implement the layered OSI network structure, using cnet (http://www.csse.uwa.edu.au/cnet/). I'm getting a SIGSEGV error at runtime, however cnet compiles my source code files itself (I can't compile it through gcc) so I can't easily use any debugging tools such as gdb to find the error.     I've got a Windows Forms control that I'm wrapping with a WindowsFormsHost-derived class to access WPF's data binding functionality. The Forms control exposes properties that indicate its state, along with the standard property-changed event notifier. For example, a Zoom property on the Forms control is accompanied with a ZoomChanged event. In the WindowsFormsHost wrapper, I'm using a DependencyProperty to represent the underlying Windows Forms control property. Binding works as expected going to the control; however, I'm not sure how to correctly propogate property changes from the wrapped control back out to binding subscribers (i.e., the Windows Form control changes its Zoom property and raises the ZoomChanged event). Any ideas on how to accomplish this? Should I be using a different approach?

    Hello, I made a VBS script that imports users and creates a Contact Objects everything working OK till I found that users does not appear in the GAL (Global Address List) looking around I found that I need to use the attribute (showInAddressBook) I tried to use it but I get some errors (Null ......) but my supplied inputs are not empty and I have a checking function before sending the inputs to showInAddressBook so what should I use in there? I used the users names, but it did not work also the users are externals (just to use them in our GAL) they have different emails than our normal users any idea on what should I use with showInAddressBook ? cheers
