    What is the adoption rate of .net 4.0? When will it be on Windows Update? I heard that it is smaller than 3.5, does that mean if I install .net 4.0, it will decrease the space used by the framework? If I make an application in 3.5 and it runs on a computer that has 4.0, will my application get some of the optimizations that 4.0 uses?

  • Segmentation fault when creating a Phonon MediaObject

    I have music playing program made using PySide which uses Phonon to playback audio. I updated to MacOS X Mavericks a few days ago, which meant I needed to reinstall PySide. I'm not sure which of these actions has caused this, but now whenever I try to create a Phonon MediaObject I get a Segmentation Fault: 11 from Python. It's not just in my program, it happens when trying to create a MediaObject in Python without any other actions.   • Quartz job fires multiple times

    Hi, I have a building block which sets up a Quartz job to send out emails every morning. The job is fired three times every morning instead of once. We have a hosted instance of Blackboard, which I am told runs on three virtual servers. I am guessing this is what is causing the problem, as the building block was previously working fine on a single server installation. Does anyone have Quartz experience, or could suggest how one might prevent the job from firing multiple times? Thanks,

    I'm developing a website using the Django framework, and I need to retrieve Jabber (okay, Google Talk) statuses for a user. Most of the Jabber python libraries seem like an incredible amount of overkill (and overhead) for a simple task. Is there any simple way to do this? I know very little about XMPP/Jabber, though of course I'm willing to learn. Do you need to be an authenticated and "friended" user to retrieve another user's status?

However, joomla seems to insist on having two empty columns "Mobile phone" and "Fax" that I can't seem to get rid of.     I have a site with about 60,000 pages that are getting placed in the sitemap, and which have a priority of 0.3. These are all really long pages that are rich in keywords. I also have a few pages (like the about page), that need high priority, but which I've implemented with the django flatpages framework. Is it possible for pages created this way to have a higher priority in the sitemap?
