  • Keeping the row in edit mode after saveRow in jqgrid

    - by Chirantan
    I want to be able to keep the row in edit mode even after calling saveRow() function in jQgrid. This is because I want to be able to validate the data being saved and remove the edit mode only when the data has passed its validations. I am aware of the succesfunc, which gets called after successful posting of data. I get the response handle too, however, manually calling the editRow(row_id); function does not seem to work. Is there anyway, I can keep the row in edit mode after calling saveRow?

  • JQGrid tree - passing additional parameters when tree is expanded

    - by PHP thinker
    I have a JQGRid tree. It loads data click by click, not all at once. Typically, JQGRid passes 4 standard tree parameters with each call - row (level, parent, is leaf, is expanded). How can I pass more parameters that I will take from the row being expanded? E.g. data from Name column should be passed in AJAX call too. There doesn't seem to be OnExpand event or similar.

  • Google maps api v3 refreshing away markers

    - by Paul Peelen
    Hi, I am having problems with the google maps API V3. It seems that every time I load my page the maps load (including the markers) and then it does a quick reload and removes all the markers. Am I missing somehting? What am I doing wrong? Here is an example: http://www.PaulPeelen.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/04/SafariScreenSnapz001.mov this is my code: <script type="text/javascript"> <!-- var hash = "{{$sHashLocal}}"; var webroot = "{{$webroot}}"; var map; function initialize() { var latlng = new google.maps.LatLng(59.32045, 18.066902); var myOptions = { zoom: 13, center: latlng, mapTypeId: google.maps.MapTypeId.ROADMAP }; map = new google.maps.Map(document.getElementById("map_canvas"), myOptions); return map; } function getMarkerInfo (infowindow, rack_id) { // Get all the racks $.ajax({ type: "GET", url: webroot+"ajax/getRack/"+hash+"/"+rack_id, cache: false, dataType: "html", success: function(html) { $("#rack_"+rack_id).html(); infowindow.setContent(html); } }); } $(document).ready(function () { map = initialize(); function attachSecretMessage(marker, rack_id) { var infowindow = new google.maps.InfoWindow({ size: new google.maps.Size(50,50) }); google.maps.event.addListener(marker, 'click', function(){ var ret = '<div id="rack_'+rack_id+'" class="rackDiv"><div class="rackDivLoading"><img src="theme/images/loader-small.gif" border="0"/><span>Hämtar data</span></div></div>'; infowindow.setContent(ret); infowindow.open(map,marker); getMarkerInfo(infowindow,rack_id); }); } function addPlacemark (lat,lng,title, rack_id) { var image = new google.maps.MarkerImage('http://www.google.com/intl/en_us/mapfiles/ms/micons/blue-dot.png', new google.maps.Size(32, 32), new google.maps.Point(0,0), new google.maps.Point(0, 32)); var shadow = new google.maps.MarkerImage('http://maps.google.com/mapfiles/shadow50.png', new google.maps.Size(37, 34), new google.maps.Point(0,0), new google.maps.Point(-4, 34)); var location = new google.maps.LatLng(lat,lng); var marker = new google.maps.Marker({ position: location, map: map, icon: image, shadow: shadow}); marker.setTitle(title); attachSecretMessage(marker, rack_id); } // Get all the racks $.ajax({ type: "GET", url: webroot+"ajax/getRacks/"+hash, cache: false, dataType: "xml", success: function(xml) { // Add the results $(xml).find("station").each(function () { rack_id = $(this).find("rack_id").text(); title = $(this).find("description").text(); longitute = parseFloat($(this).find("longitute").text()); latitude = parseFloat($(this).find("latitude").text()); addPlacemark(latitude, longitute, title, rack_id); }); } }); $("#addMark").click(function () { addPlacemark (59.32045, 18.066902); }); // Set size setPageSize(); }); //--> </script> I hope somebody can help me.   • MVC2 MSchart with detail grid

    - by ben
    Hello, I need the capability to display a chart, click on a region and display the details in a jqgrid on the same page. I tried using a pie Chart and I can't seem to capture or create a click event for the chart. The data points contain a .url property which I can redirect to a different page but I need to display details on the same page like a master-detail page.

  • How to filter the jqGrid data NOT using the built in search/filter box

    - by Jimbo
    I want users to be able to filter grid data without using the intrinsic search box. I have created two input fields for date (from and to) and now need to tell the grid to adopt this as its filter and then to request new data. Forging a server request for grid data (bypassing the grid) and setting the grid's data to be the response data wont work - because as soon as the user tries to re-order the results or change the page etc. the grid will request new data from the server using a blank filter. I cant seem to find grid API to achieve this - does anyone have any ideas? Thanks.

  • How to do server-side validation using Jqgrid?

    - by Eoghan
    Hi, I'm using jqgrid to display a list of sites and I want to do some server side validation when a site is added or edited. (Form editing rather than inline. Validation needs to be server side for various reasons I won't go into.) I thought the best way would be to check the data via an ajax request when the beforeSubmit event is triggered. However this only seems to work when I'm editing an existing row in the grid - the function isn't called when I add a new row. Have I got my beforeSubmit in the wrong place? Thanks for your help. $("#sites-grid").jqGrid({ url:'/json/sites', datatype: "json", mtype: 'GET', colNames:['Code', 'Name', 'Area', 'Cluster', 'Date Live', 'Status', 'Lat', 'Lng'], colModel :[ {name:'code', index:'code', width:80, align:'left', editable:true}, {name:'name', index:'name', width:250, align:'left', editrules:{required:true}, editable:true}, {name:'area', index:'area', width:60, align:'left', editable:true}, {name:'cluster_id', index:'cluster_id', width:80, align:'right', editrules:{required:true, integer:true}, editable:true, edittype:"select", editoptions:{value:"<?php echo $cluster_options; ?>"}}, {name:'estimated_live_date', index:'estimated_live_date', width:120, align:'left', editable:true, editrules:{required:true}, edittype:"select", editoptions:{value:"<?php echo $this->month_options; ?>"}}, {name:'status', index:'status', width:80, align:'left', editable:true, edittype:"select", editoptions:{value:"Live:Live;Plan:Plan;"}}, {name:'lat', index:'lat', width:140, align:'right', editrules:{required:true}, editable:true}, {name:'lng', index:'lng', width:140, align:'right', editrules:{required:true}, editable:true}, ], height: '300', pager: '#pager-sites', rowNum:30, rowList:[10,30,90], sortname: 'cluster_id', sortorder: 'desc', viewrecords: true, multiselect: false, caption: 'Sites', editurl: '/json/sites' }); $("#sites-grid").jqGrid('navGrid','#pager-sites',{edit:true,add:true,del:true, beforeSubmit : function(postdata, formid) { $.ajax({ url : 'json/validate-site/', data : postdata, dataType : 'json', type : 'post', success : function(data) { alert(data.message); return[data.result, data.message]; } }); }});

  • Adding button to jqGrid top toolbar

    - by Ron Harlev
    Looks like the default toolbar for jqGrid is always at the bottom. Buttons like Next/Prev page and the dropdown to select the number of rows per page will always show at the bottom of the grid. I found a way to add a custom top toolbar and push custom buttons into it. What a really need is a way to add default functionality (like paging) to the top of the grid, instead the bottom.

  • How do I correctly Re-render a Recaptcha in ASP.NET MVC 2 after an AJAX POST

    - by Eoin Campbell
    Ok... I've downloaded and implemented this Recaptcha implementation for MVC which uses the ModelState to confirm the validity of the captcha control. It works brilliantly... except when I start to use it in an AJAX Form. In a nutshell, when a div is re-rendered with AJAX, the ReCaptcha that it should contain does not appear, even though the relevant <scripts> are in the source after the partial render. Code Below. using (Ajax.BeginForm("CreateComment", "Blog", new AjaxOptions() { HttpMethod = "POST", UpdateTargetId = "CommentAdd", OnComplete="ReloadRecaptcha", OnSuccess = "ShowComment", OnFailure = "ShowComment", OnBegin = "HideComment" })) {%> <fieldset class="comment"> <legend>Add New Comment</legend> <%= Html.ValidationSummary()%> <table class="postdetails"> <tbody> <tr> <td rowspan="3" id="blahCaptcha"> <%= Html.CreateRecaptcha("recaptcha", "blackglass") %> </td> .... Remainder of Form Omitted for Brevity I've confirmed the Form is perfectly functional when the Recaptcha Control is not present and the Javascript calls in the AjaxOptions are all working fine. The problem is that if the ModelState is Invalid as a result of the Recaptcha or some other validation, then the ActionResult returns the View to reshow the form. [RecaptchaFilter(IgnoreOnMobile = true)] [HttpPost] public ActionResult CreateComment(Comment c) { if (ModelState.IsValid) { try { //Code to insert Comment To DB return Content("Thank You"); } catch { ModelState.AddRuleViolations(c.GetRuleViolations()); } } else { ModelState.AddRuleViolations(c.GetRuleViolations()); } return View("CreateComment", c); } When it's InValid and the form posts back, for some reason the ReCaptcha Control does not re-render. I've checked the source and the <script> & <noscript> blocks are present in the HTML so the HTML Helper function below is obviously working <%= Html.CreateRecaptcha("recaptcha", "blackglass") %> I assume this has something to do with scripts injected into the DOM by AJAX are not re-executed. As you can see from the HTML snippet above, I've tried to add an OnComplete= javascript function to re-create the Captcha on the client side, but although the script executes with no errors, it doesn't work. OnComplete Function is. function ReloadRecaptcha() { Recaptcha.create("my-pub-key", 'blahCaptcha', { //blahCaptcha is the ID of the <td> where the ReCaptcha should go. theme: 'blackglass' }); } Can anyone shed any light on this ? Thanks, Eoin C

    Great Indian Developer Summit 2010 – India's Biggest Polyglot Conference and Workshops for IT Software Professionals Bangalore, April 9, 2010: The GIDS.Web Conference and Workshops has announced the complete program of over 30 sessions on how browser and rich web technologies such as AJAX, DHTML, Mashups, Web 2.0, Enterprise 2.0 technologies, and Rich UI technologies are making money and gaining market-share for some of the leading businesses in the world. The GIDS.Web track at Great Indian Developer Summit takes place 21 and 23 April 2010, at the Indian Institute of Science in Bangalore. As one of the longest running independent developer conferences in India, GIDS.Web at the Great Indian Developer Summit 2010 is uniquely positioned to provide a blend of practical, pragmatic and immediately applicable knowledge and a glimpse of the future of technology. During 21 and 23 April 2010, GIDS.Web offers a multi-track conference, workshops, expo show floor, and networking opportunities. The first keynote at GIDS.Web is led by the leading Java EE and Ajax developer, speaker, and author Marty Hall. The best of India's Java and RIA programmers have learnt the subject from Marty's seminal books Core Servlets and JavaServer Pages (first and second editions), More Servlets and JavaServer Pages, and Core Web Programming (first and second editions) from Prentice Hall and Sun Microsystems Press. Marty's keynote address is a comparison of approaches to building rich Internet applications with Ajax. Marty says Ajax development is difficult, and there are several fundamentally different strategies to building Ajaxified Web applications. The keynote address will survey the three most important of these approaches: using an Ajax-enabled JavaScript library such as jQuery, Prototype, Scriptaculous, Dojo, or Ext/JS; using a Web framework such as JSF 2.0 or Struts 2 that has integrated Ajax support; using the Google Web Toolkit (GWT) to build "pure Java" Ajax applications. The talk will compare and contrast these three approaches, discussing the types of applications that fit best for each option. Over the course of the summit Marty will conduct several more sessions on "Choosing an Ajax/JavaScript Toolkit: A Comparison of the Most Popular JavaScript Libraries", "Pure Java Ajax: An Overview of GWT 2.0", "Integrated Ajax Support in JSF 2.0" and "Ajax Support in the Prototype JavaScript Library". The second keynote by the head of Adobe's Flash initiative in India, Ramesh Srinivasaraghavan, explores the state of art in web application development and identify trends that could transform the way we create and use web applications. The talk explains how the Adobe Flash Platform has fuelled this revolution with an integrated set of technologies for delivering the most compelling applications, content and video to the widest possible audience. The Director of Forum Nokia will explain how cloud computing coupled with mobile applications enable consumers to have access to powerful services and improved user experiences never before thought possible. • Force page reload with html anchors (#) - HTML & JS

    - by yuval
    Say I'm on a page called /example#myanchor1 where myanchor is an anchor in the page. I'd like to link to /example#myanchor2, but force the page to reload while doing so. The reason is that I run js to detect the anchor from the url at the page load. The problem [normally expected behavior] here though, is that the browser just sends me to that specific anchor on the page without reloading the page. How would I go about doing so (JS OK). Thanks!

  • jqGrid with JSON data renders table as empty

    - by jgreep
    I'm trying to create a jqgrid, but the table is empty. The table renders, but the data doesn't show. The data I'm getting back from the php call is: { "page":"1", "total":1, "records":"10", "rows":[ {"id":"2:1","cell":["1","image","Chief Scout","Highest Award test","0"]}, {"id":"2:2","cell":["2","image","Link Badge","When you are invested as a Scout, you may be eligible to receive a Link Badge. (See page 45)","0"]}, {"id":"2:3","cell":["3","image","Pioneer Scout","Upon completion of requirements, the youth is invested as a Pioneer Scout","0"]}, {"id":"2:4","cell":["4","image","Voyageur Scout Award","Voyageur Scout Award is the right after Pioneer Scout.","0"]}, {"id":"2:5","cell":["5","image","Voyageur Citizenship","Learning about and caring for your community.","0"]}, {"id":"2:6","cell":["6","image","Fish and Wildlife","Demonstrate your knowledge and involvement in fish and wildlife management.","0"]}, {"id":"2:7","cell":["7","image","Photography","To recognize photography knowledge and skills","0"]}, {"id":"2:8","cell":["8","image","Recycling","Demonstrate your knowledge and involvement in Recycling","0"]}, {"id":"2:10","cell":["10","image","Voyageur Leadership ","Show leadership ability","0"]}, {"id":"2:11","cell":["11","image","World Conservation","World Conservation Badge","0"]} ]} The javascript configuration looks like so: $("#"+tableId).jqGrid ({ url:'getAwards.php?id='+classId, dataType : 'json', mtype:'POST', colNames:['Id','Badge','Name','Description',''], colModel : [ {name:'awardId', width:30, sortable:true, align:'center'}, {name:'badge', width:40, sortable:false, align:'center'}, {name:'name', width:180, sortable:true, align:'left'}, {name:'description', width:380, sortable:true, align:'left'}, {name:'selected', width:0, sortable:false, align:'center'} ], sortname: "awardId", sortorder: "asc", pager: $('#'+tableId+'_pager'), rowNum:15, rowList:[15,30,50], caption: 'Awards', viewrecords:true, imgpath: 'scripts/jqGrid/themes/green/images', jsonReader : { root: "rows", page: "page", total: "total", records: "records", repeatitems: true, cell: "cell", id: "id", userdata: "userdata", subgrid: {root:"rows", repeatitems: true, cell:"cell" } }, width: 700, height: 200 }); The HTML looks like: <table class="awardsList" id="awardsList2" class="scroll" name="awardsList" /> <div id="awardsList2_pager" class="scroll"></div> I'm not sure that I needed to define jsonReader, since I've tried to keep to the default. If the php code will help, I can post it too.

  • jqGrid local data manipulation; problem with row ids when deleting and adding new rows

    - by Sam
    I'm using jqGrid as a client side grid input, allowing the user to input multiple records before POSTing all the data back at once. I'm having a problem where if the user has added a few records (say 3 ) the id's for the records will be 1,2,3. if the user deletes record 2, you're left with 1 and 3 for the id of the records. When the user now adds a new records, jqGrid assigns that records the id 3 again since it just seems to count the total records and increments it by one for the new record. This causes problems when selecting rows as now the row id's are 1, 3 and 3. Does anyone know how to access the row ids of records as I could probably use the afterSubmit event and reassign the row id's increasing from 1. ( so after i delete row id 2, this will set the other row id's to 1 and 2) Any other suggestions to solve this problem? Thanks edit I've solved this with the following code for the delete navGrid button }).navGrid('#pager', {add:true, del:true, refresh:false, search:false}, { ... }, ##edit parameters { ... }, ##add parameters {reloadAfterSubmit:false, clearAfterAdd:false, afterComplete: function () { ## clear and readd the row data so the row ids are sequential var savedData= $("#inputgrid").jqGrid('getRowData'); $("#inputgrid").jqGrid('clearGridData'); $("#inputgrid").jqGrid('addRowData', 'rn', savedData); } } ##delete parameters ); Basically just saving the grid data and then re-adding it so that the rowids are sequential again. For some reason it causes the row numbers down the left side to go start from 2 instead of one. Edit this was solved by using the latest jqGrid code in GitHub (27th April 2010)

  • Inserting Google Maps into a WYSIWYG editor, then saving and retrieving properly

    - by Tatu Ulmanen
    Hi, I'm trying to extend jWysiwyg with an function to add a map from Google Maps. I can get the map all right, but I'm having problems with how to handle the generated map so it can be saved with the page and then retrieved. To open the process up a bit: User enters editor which is created using jWysiwyg. User clicks on a button which asks for an address, then returns the corresponding latitude and longitude. I use this location information to create a map using Google Maps API (V3), which I then insert into the editable WYSIWYG area. When I save the page, the whole Google generated HTML gets saved into the database, which will not work properly when opened next time (I get a grey box when I open up the page again). Now, the problem is that I need to insert the map in such a format that it will work afterwards (perhaps using <script> tags). I also need the map to be visible in the WYSIWYG editor itself, so I cannot just put in a placeholder tag which would later be populated with the correct map data. So, in short; how would you insert a Google Map into a WYSIWYG editor in a way that it is both visible/previewable from the editor itself and could also be saved in a format that would work properly when opened the next time?

But when i load the grid my firebug gives the following error: "parsererror"?e:null},parse:function(d...d(a.fn.jqGrid,d);this.no_legacy_api|| When I go to the selectLimit in the jqgrid.php and print out what the function returns it normaly return an array with all 500 objects with the correct data. This is the code of the grid: <?php require_once ($_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'].'/includes_config/config.inc.php'); require_once ($_SERVER['DOCUMENT_ROOT'].'/portal/classes/core/database/class_Database_control.php'); $dtb = new clsDatabaseControl(); $dtb = $dtb->getDatabase(ConnectionString); $dtb->doConnect(); require_once (ClassRoot.'/3rd/jqgrid/jq-config.php'); require_once (ClassRoot.'/3rd/jqgrid/php/jqGrid.php'); require_once (ClassRoot.'/3rd/jqgrid/php/jqGridPdo.php'); //require_once (ClassRoot.'/modules/logging/class_logging_control.php'); // //$oLogginControl = new clsLoggingControl($dtb); //$sSQL = $oLogginControl->getAanmeldingenGrid(); $sSQL = "SELECT LogAanmeldID, LogAanmeldStamp, UserFirstName, UserLastName, LogAanmeldIP, LogAanmeldMethod, LogAanmeldHost, LogAanmeldAgent FROM log_aanmelden, user WHERE log_aanmelden.LogAanmeldUserID = user.UserID"; $conn = new PDO(DB_DSN,DB_USER,DB_PASSWORD); $conn->query("SET NAMES utf8"); $grid = new jqGridRender($conn); //$grid->SelectCommand = $sSQL; $grid->selectLimit($sSQL ,500,1); $grid->dataType = 'json'; $grid->setColModel(); $grid->setUrl('modules/module_logging/index.php?grid=2'); $grid->setGridOptions(array( "hoverrows"=>true, //"sortname"=>"naam", "height"=>450 )); // Enable toolbar searching $grid->toolbarfilter = true; $grid->setFilterOptions(array("stringResult"=>true)); $grid->navigator = true; $grid->setNavOptions('navigator', array("excel"=>true,"add"=>false,"edit"=>false,"del"=>false,"view"=>true, "refresh"=>false)); $custom = <<<CUSTOM $(document).ready(function() { gridParentWidth = $(window).width(); $('#grid').jqGrid('setGridWidth',gridParentWidth-10); }) $(window).resize(function() { gridParentWidth = $(window).width(); $('#grid').jqGrid('setGridWidth',gridParentWidth-10); }); function formatAddAdresboek(cellValue, options, rowObject) { var imageHtml = "<a href='?FFID=51000&TID=1&INS=3&contactID=" + cellValue + "' originalValue='" + cellValue + "'><img border='0' alt='Toevoegen aan Persoonlijk Adresboek' src='images/16X16/new_user.gif'/></a>"; imageHtml = imageHtml + " <a href='?FFID=51000&TID=2&INS=3&contactID=" + cellValue + "' originalValue='" + cellValue + "'><img border='0' alt='Toevoegen aan Praktijk Adresboek' src='images/16X16/new_usergroup.gif'/></a>"; return imageHtml; } function unformatAddAdresboek(cellValue, options, cellObject) { return $(cellObject.html()).attr("originalValue"); } CUSTOM; $grid->setJSCode($custom); // Enjoy $grid->renderGrid('#grid','#pager',true, null, null, true,true); $conn = null; ?> When I inspect the $_GET the answer is empty and in stead of a JSON tab there is an HTML tab. When i use the selectCommand in stead of the selectLimit it return all the data correct as an json object an parses it correcly in the grid but it doens't use the LIMIT, Because when i add the limit. PDO doens't work anymore. So how do I get the object from the selectLimit to the grid? Can someone please help me get the grid working?
