• How to check whether your code environment on Windows or on Linux or other OS

  hi, right now, i code custom wordpress theme and testing it in xampp windows XP on apache server. But as long as i concern, there's no wp build-in function to identify the code environment. Is there's any PHP build-in function to identify such thing ? for the record, what i want to code need to read a directory. in my apache (in windows), the path will be c:/xampp/htdocs where apache on linux will be \somepath\somepath\ so, is there any code solution to know what is the OS environment without i have to compare the path ? i hope it will also work on other OS with other webserver then APACHE such as IIS

  In a directory with mixed content such as: .afile .anotherfile bfile.file bnotherfile.file .afolder/ .anotherfolder/ bfolder/ bnotherfolder/ How would you catch everything but the files (not dirs) starting with .? I have tried with a negative lookahead ^(?!\.).+? but it doesn't seem to work right. Please note that I would like to avoid doing it by excluding the . by using [a-zA-Z< plus all other possible chars minus the dot >] Any suggestions?

• Unable to export runnable jar, launch configuration grayed out

  I am not able to figure out how to export a runnable jar in eclipse. I have a java project (project A) (written by someone else) which when imported in Eclipse, I can click Build Project and it will create a projectName.jar file under bin/ directory. That jar file contains binary *.class files. This jar file is added as external library for another java project (project B) which I want to debug. But because all the class files are binary I'm not able to do line-by-line debugging. I tried exporting Runnable Jar in Eclipse, for that I have to select a Launch Configuration. But there is no main class in project A. (I recursively grepped for main and didn't find any). What can I do to export jar of project A that contains respective source code also (which will be used in line-by-line debugging)?

• A lot to merge after creating a new branch in SVN

  We have recently made a new branch, let us call it rel3.6, which was based on the last release named rel3.5. Work has started on rel3.6, and meanwhile some bugs has been fixed on rel3.5 which now is used for a service pack to be released soon. Today I wanted to merge those bugs from rel3.5 to rel3.6, so I fired up SmartSVN. Standing in the rel3.6 branch i chosed\ to merge with rel3.5 and selected to browse for a revision range. To my surprise there was a huge list of changes even though I checked "Stop on copy" and only showing mergeable revisions. Most of them where dated back before the creation of rel3.6. I did not expect to find anything from before rel3.5 was created. If I make a merge, the only thing I get are changes and conflicts to directory properties. Have I misunderstood something, or is it possible that something was done wrong when creating the branch?

• .htaccess wildcard problem

  I've come across a problem with an .htaccess rule I can't sort out. It works on my MAMP stack and it works on 3 other servers, but it won't work on a particular server and keeps giving me a "500 error with an additional 302 error". It's the wildcard that's throwing it and from Google research it says it may be because of an infinite loop, but it works on other servers just fine. The site in question is being developed in a sub-directory, but then again, so have the other sites: RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^$ public/ [L] RewriteRule (.*) public/$1 [L] /public has it's own .htaccess file that is: RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-f RewriteCond %{REQUEST_FILENAME} !-d RewriteRule ^(.*)$ index.php?url=$1 [PT,L] Any suggestions as mod_rewrite's not my specialty and I can't seem to fix this.2

  Hi Alls, I would like to build a small python script that basicaly does the reverse of grep. I want to match the files in a directory/subdirectory that doesn't have a "searched_string". So far i've done that: import os filefilter = ['java','.jsp'] path= "/home/patate/code/project" for path, subdirs, files in os.walk(path): for name in files: if name[-4:] in filefilter : print os.path.join(path, name) This small script will be listing everyfiles with "java" or "jsp" extension inside each subdirectory, and will output them full path. I'm now wondering how to do the rest, for example i would like to be able if I forgot a session management entry in one file (allowing anyone a direct file access), to search for : "if (!user.hasPermission" and list the file which does not contain this string. • Editing a 1MB file continuously, what's more efficient?

  I've to be continuously editing a 1MB file, simulating a file system. I've to modify the directory of File Control Blocks, FAT, blocks, etc. Proffesor recommended overwriting the file every time an update is made. 1MB shouldn't take minutes to do that, but I don't like this way. Is it a FileChannel the way to go here? Also, I understand that if I edit a MappedByteBuffer, the content of the mapped file region is also edited immediately? i.e. is reflexive mapped? Thanks.

  Hi, I am trying to get my head around the way shared libraries work in the c++ unix environment. I understand we only need header files and no shared libraries specification when compiling code. But if I want to create an executable or shared library from my compiled files, do I need to specify shared library dependencies (those are dynamic)? And do the paths of shared libraries need to match the path at runtime loading? I am using Linux 2.6.18-164.11.1.el5 #1 SMP x86_64 GNU/Linux I am having a problem where my code is not able to pick up a library at runtime. I have tried setting LD_LIBRARY_PATH and PATH.   I have a directory of text files that all end in the extension .txt My goal is to print the contents of the text file. I wish to be able use the wildcard *.txt to be able to specific the text file name I wish to open (I'm thinking along the lines of something like "F:\text*.txt" ?), split the lines of the text file, then print the output. • Apache/PHP is determined to serve the wrong file

  I have a page that is called with a url like http://testserver/path/to/foo/bar/ but apache is serving the wrong file altogether. /path/to/ is a real directory where all the code and .htaccess file is. foo/bar/ is supposed to redirect to foo_bar.php with a RewriteRule, but it never gets there. It's not a mod_rewrite issue as I have commented out all the rules that could be interfering, which should give me 404s for that request, but the same problem occurs: the file that is served is /path/to/foo.php, so in it I var_dump $_SERVER and get: REQUEST_URI = /path/to/foo/bar/ SCRIPT_NAME = /path/to/foo.php SCRIPT_FILENAME = /real/path/to/foo.php PATH_INFO = /bar/ PATH_TRANSLATED = /real/bar/ PHP_SELF = /path/to/foo.php/bar/ Why is this request being routed to this file at all?

• compiling QGIS Plugin using make

  On a fresh mac os x 10.8 install, i've Quantum GIS Installed from Kingchaos binaries and running fine. I'm trying to develop a plugin for QGIS, and using Plugin Builder. The skel that Plugin Builder, produces, should work off-the-shelf, but it does not compile using the makefile. Somewhere python can't find (pyuic.py), and it searches for (/Users/kyngchaos/...), path.   I use the Magento block cache for the top navigation block. The problem is the block has to generate some urls for files in the skin directory that cannot be put into css files as the file names depend on category model data. Now when I open magento using a secure connection (https://) the navigation block is fetched from the cache and is sent to the browser but with the http:// urls resulting in a warning in most browsers about unsecure elements on the page. I'd like the have separat caches for secure and unsecure connections.   When configuring a Linux kernel, I normally start with my distribution's kernel config file. I often want to turn off some entries, but they are sometimes unchangeable because other CONFIG options that depend on it are enabled. I can look up the dependencies manually, which often have dependencies of their own. It can be pretty time consuming to did through them all, especially if you're trying to turn off something like CONFIG_KALLSYMS. Is there a way to specify a CONFIG option you want gone, and have all dependencies automatically selected/disselected as nessisary for you? I looked through all the make options and in the scripts directory, and didn't see anything available for this.

  I'm trying to add to our existing pre-commit SVN hook so that it will check for and block an increase in file size for files in specific directory/s. I've written a python script to compare two file sizes, which takes two files as arguments and uses sys.exit(0) or (1) to return the result, this part seems to work fine. My problem is in calling the python script from the batch file, how to reference the newly committed and previous versions of each file? The existing code is new to me and a mess of %REPOS%, %TXN%s etc and I'm not sure how to go about using them. Is there a simple, standard way of doing this? It also already contains code to loop through the changed files using svnlook changed, so that part shouldn't be an issue. Thanks very much

• Hiding "Print to file" in a Java print dialog

  I'm maintaining this Swing app that has a "print" option. Users need to be kept from interacting in any way with the underlying file system, but the print dialog offers "print to file" as one printer, and that of course allows selecting a directory and file from the file system. Is there a painless way to override/modify the print dialog to hide the "to file" printer from this dialog? I understand the API will let me do this piecemeal but I'd rather not have to re-create most of the dialog GUI and functionality to do this.

This page is at the root like "http://www.example.com/new_cms/blogs.php" When I moves to other files link like "http://www.example.com/new_cms/forums" the footer link is changed to "http://www.example.com/new_cms/forums/blogs.php" but the blogs.php page resides at path "http://www.example.com/new_cms/" . I tried different $_SERVER[] variables but got no luck to get the above path "http://www.example.com/new_cms/" means the server name with the directory where the project is currently running from.
