• iPhone dev question: "No provisioned iPhone OS is connected" error, I don't know what else to try fo

  Howdy, I am trying to compile and install my first application onto my iPhone after setting up a profile and certificate. At this point I am getting the "No provisioned iPhone OS is connected" error when I Build & Go. I am using iPhone OS 3.1.3, and Xcode 3.2.2 on 10.6.3. • I have verified that my iPhone is connected to my development machine (it is seen on the computer by both iTunes and Xcode Organizer (in Organizer, it has the green dot next to it)). • I have rebooted the iPhone and restarted Xcode multiple times. • I have verified that the Bundle Identifier in my appname.plist is set to com.. (with the appropriate values between the angle brackets). I have looked the error message up on the web, and so far have not found a hint that has gotten me over the hump.... • Bounce Email handling with PHP??

  I am really new to this (not new to php). Here is my scenario: I have 2 emails accounts. [email protected] and [email protected]. I want to send email to all my users with [email protected] but then "reply to" [email protected] (until here, my php script can handle it). When, the email cant be sent, it sent to [email protected], the error message could be 553 (non existent email ...) etc. My question is: How do I direct all those bounce emails (couldn't sent emails) to [email protected] through a handling script to check for the bounce error codes? What programming language should I be for the "handling script"? What would the "handling script" looks like? Can give a sample? OR:(Big Question) What are the procedures I should follow to handle the bounce email ??

• How can I prompt for input using Selenium/Webdriver and use the result?

  I would like to allow for user input and make some decisions based on it. If I do this: driver.execute_script("prompt('Enter smth','smth')") I get a nice prompt, but I cannot use it's value. Is there any way of showing an input box to the user, and use the value typed there? • Creating excel template 2003 in C# on a machine with both 2003 and 2007 installed.

  I have both 2003 and 2007 Excel versions installed on my machine. The current source code uses Office11 (2003) interop assembly Microsoft.Office.Interop.Excel.dll to create the Excel template. When I create the template and open in Excel 2007, it opens perfectly. • Ruby Net::HTTP - Read only x number of bytes of the body

  It seems like the methods of Ruby's Net::HTTP are all or nothing when it comes to reading the body of a web page. How can I read, say, the just the first 100 bytes of the body? I am trying to read from a content server that returns a short error message in the body of the response if the file requested isn't available. I need to read enough of the body to determine whether the file is there. The files are huge, so I don't want to get the whole body just to check if the file is available.

• Android Custom View to Activity communication

  I have a custom control/view that observes the direction of a gesture within its bounds. I would like to send a different message back to the Activity hosting the View depending on the direction of the gesture. I'm having a hard time determine what the right way to do this is. I would think I could raise a custom event in the control and then stick a listener on the control in the activity, but I cannot find any information on custom events in Android. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

  Hi Guys, I am using a wrapper class A which initializes the java.util.logger static class A { public static Logger logger; public static void init(){ logger = Logger.getLogger("test"); } Now, everywhere in my program I call A.init() and then logger.log("Message+uniqid"). But recently I moved to HTTP servlets and I am having problems. Basically, If a app is already running and the logger is logging... and someone else runs the app again, the logger from the previous instance stops and starts logging for the second one. Can anyone have a solution to how I should go about fixing this static variable issue? I can pass the logger into all constructor classes but thats really tedious. Any better solution would be appreciated..

• How to recover gracefully from a C# udp socket exception

  Context: I'm porting a linux perl app to C#, the server listens on a udp port and maintains multiple concurrent dialogs with remote clients via a single udp socket. During testing, I send out high volumes of packets to the udp server, randomly restarting the clients to observe the server registering the new connections. The problem is this: when I kill a udp client, there may still be data on the server destined for that client. When the server tries to send this data, it gets an icmp "no service available" message back and consequently an exception occurs on the socket. I cannot reuse this socket, when I try to associate a C# async handler with the socket, it complains about the exception, so I have to close and reopen the udp socket on the server port. Is this the only way around this problem?, surely there's some way of "fixing" the udp socket, as technically, UDP sockets shouldn't be aware of the status of a remote socket? Any help or pointers would be much appreciated. Thanks.

• Can not clone git repo to server

  I'm running the same command on 2 different servers. One works, the other doesn't. I'm running git clone https://blah.com:8443/blah.git On server A, it works fine. I get the objects, files, etc. no problems. On server B, I get the following message. git clone https://blah.com:8443/blah.git Cloning into 'blah'... error: Peer certificate cannot be authenticated with known CA certificates while accessing https://blah.com:8443/blah.git/info/refs?service=git-upload-pack fatal: HTTP request failed Does anyone know what this means or what I need to do to get this to work? • Avoid painting over nested controls

  I am writing a toolbar-style control and use the ThemeServices unit to paint the background required by the toolbar. Like so: ThemeServices.DrawElement(Canvas.Handle, ThemeServices.GetElementDetails(trRebarRoot), ARect); I then drop child controls onto the toolbar and voila - instant toolbar. Except that every now and again I notice that the nested (child) controls don't repaint as well. So my control paints its background and the child controls disappear until you move the mouse over them. Some of the edit controls show their client area (no border) and some of them are just gone altogether. This happens mostly when I place a window from another application over the toolbar and move it away. I keep thinking this has to be very easy to cure, that perhaps I'm somehow preventing the paint message from reaching the child controls, or missing an override but I have been unable to figure it out.

  I edited a file and did: git add file.py git commit -m 'fixed bug' I then edited another file and performed a minor bug fix. I don't want two commits, one after the other, showing 'bug fix'. I want one commit with 'bug fixes'. How can I undo the last add/commit and change the first commit message? • Script stops working on HSQLDB 1.9.0-rc6

  DROP VIEW V1 IF EXISTS; DROP TABLE T1 IF EXISTS; CREATE TABLE T1 (id INT, name VARCHAR(32), age int); CREATE VIEW V1 AS (SELECT * FROM T1 WHERE age < 21); I have no problem to execute the SQL statement above in one JDBC statement or on the SWING Manager from HSQLDB. Now it stops working on 1.9.0-rc6. This is error message I got - "user lacks privilege or object not found: T1 / Error Code: -5501 / State: 42501" Does anyone know what have changed in 1.9.0-XX which made it not working? Thanks

  I'm working on versioning our database and now searching for a way to drop all stored procedures and functions from a C# Console Application. I'd rather not create a stored procedure that drops all stored procedures and functions. I has to be some sql executed from C#. I tried to drop the stored procedure before creating it, but I get this message: System.Data.SqlClient.SqlException: 'CREATE/ALTER PROCEDURE' must be the first statement in a query batch. Script for one SP for example: DROP PROCEDURE [dbo].[sp_Economatic_LoadJournalEntryFeedbackByData] SET ANSI_NULLS ON SET QUOTED_IDENTIFIER ON CREATE PROCEDURE [dbo].[sp_Economatic_LoadJournalEntryFeedbackByData] @Data VARCHAR(MAX) AS BEGIN ... END So I guess before creating all SP's and functions I'll need to drop all SP's and functions first with one sql script.

• Unable to allocate new pages in table space "XXXX" ... but it's 250 megs and I'm only running DDL

  Hello, I'm a DB2 newbie, so I'd appreciate even any pointers on where to start looking. We have great DB2 admins but they're swamped with other issues now, so I'm trying to do some troubleshooting on a development database. My situation is that I have a tablespace that's giving me this error message Unable to allocate new pages in table space "[MyTableSpace]". However, all I'm doing is running multiple (hundreds) of DDL statements, mainly creating tables but also indexes and pk scripts. So, considering that the tablespace has about 250 mg, I shouldn't be running out of space, right? Here's another thing - it appears that after I leave my script for a while, something "resets" and works for a while, then I begin to have the tablespace issue again. thanks, Sylvia

• Passing Custom headers from .Net 1.1 client to a WCF service

  I have a simple wcf service which uses basicHttp binding, I want to pass few information from client to this service via custom SOAP header. My client is a .net application targetting .Net 1.1, using visual studio I have created the proxy( Added a new web reference pointing to my WCF service) I am able to call methods in the WCF service but not able to pass the data in message header. Tried to override "GetWebRequest" and added custom headers in the proxy but for some reason when I tried to access the header using "OperationContext.Current.IncomingMessageHeaders.FindHeader" it is not thier. Any idea how to solve this prob?
