• nginx probably deliering wrong filetype for .css file with php tags

  And again - NGINX is giving me many Questions today :) Like always, I already tried around for a while, but cant seem to fix this issue: I just configured NGINX to handle my .css files equal to my .php files (to parse PHP tags inside the CSS file). This works perfectly, and the file is found and delivered. I could debug it with FIrebug, and everything is OK (it displays the contents of the .css inside the opened <link> tag). So, everything working, right? Wrong. It has the CSS, but it does not interpret it! What I mean by this: apparently, the file-type of the CSS (or aplication-type, whatever) is wrong. The Page can access the CSS, but doesnt bother at all to actually use it. What I checked / tried: There are no PHP errors inside of the .css, so that one is out The .css is accessible. TLDR; CSS file is delivered correctly, but it doesnt seem to be 'used' as CSS from the browser. (Tested, works on apache)

  Possible Duplicate: What are PATH and other environment variables, and how can I set or use them? I have the default package of Ruby installed that shipped with the OS, which is an older version. I have recently installed MacPorts with the latest Ruby version which is installed in a seperate location:- /opt/local/bin/ But when I run which ruby I get /usr/bin/ruby Is there any way to edit the path of the command ruby so it would reference the new installation in the /opt/ directory? I experimented with several variations on this, but every one of them runs into this error in the end: "Anonymous lock creation is not allowed." So, as a fallback option I would like to configure my SVN Location to have default credentials. Is this possible? Is there a better way to do what I'm trying to do?

  I've very basic understanding of linux systems, but I've a server which was setup a while ago to host some web apps. Recently I decided to test out and implement Sphinx but unfortunately I cant get the install to work. There's no documentation in the inventory of it but it responds to nslookup, ping, and i can log onto it and edit it's files. However, we have no idea where in the building it is. I type google test and it takes me to http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=test, but I type g test and it takes me to the first result from I'm feeling luck as if there were no bookmark keyword there at all. Can I stop Firefox storing this file in my roaming profile?

• Are there any good utilities out there to create datastore / LUN diagrams for VMware ESX 3.5?

  We are working to get a large (inherited) VMware ESX 3.5 environment with multiple SANs under control. We first need to create a diagram / Excel spreadsheet / whatever that explains what VM is stored where. This is a rather time-consuming task to complete by just using the VI client to copy down everything. Is there a good script or tool out there that can do this for us? I would like to see: VM Name, LUN, Actual file-name/location of VMDK/VMX, Power State, Host Any ideas?

• phpMyAdmin causes php-fpm worker to restart (502 Bad Gateway)

  I am trying to set up a test site for myself. Everything works fine except phpMyAdmin. php installation loads my test site scripts, they work fine, however trying to load phpMyAdmin i get 502 Bad Gateway error. Judging from logs (that are not too helpful) it seems that php-fpm worker is crashing each time phpmyadmin is being accessed. No clue how or why.. • nginx reverse proxy cannot access apache virtual hosts

  I am setting up nginx as a reverse proxy. The server runs on directadmin and lamp stack. I have nginx running on port 81. I can access all my sites (including virtual ips) on the port 81. However when I forward the traffic from port 80 to 81, the virtual ips have a message saying "Apache is running normally". Server IPs are fine, and I can still access virtual IP's on 81. • Recommendations on managing dot files for users using Puppet

  Goal is to have a collection of dot files (.bashrc, .vimrc, etc.) in a central location. Once it's there, Puppet should push out the files to all managed servers. I initially was thinking of giving users FTP access where they could upload their dot files and then having an rsync cron job. However, it might not be the most elegant or robust solution. Wanted to see if anyone else had some recommendations.
