• Why can't I set a cookie and redirect?

  I´m having a problem setting a cookie and doing a 302 redirect In chrome the cookie is not being set (I haven't tested safari), in other browsers I was having the same problem until I added Path=/ to the cookie an now it works. This is how the header looks; the status is 302 Found Content-Type text/html; charset=iso-8859-1 Expires Thu, 01 Jan 1970 00:00:00 GMT Set-Cookie alasca-flash=error-Message<Required<error-Name<Required<error-Sex<Required<error-Age<Required<;Path=/ Location /messages/sdf Content-Length 0 Server Jetty(6.1.x) Any idea on why the cookie is not set? • problem showing pictures stored outside web root folder

  On a website users can upload pictures. For security reasons these are stored outside the webroot (public_html) folder. When I need to display the picture, I send the headers and have "readfile" read and output the picture data, like so: header("Pragma: public"); header("Expires: 0"); // set expiration time header("Cache-Control: must-revalidate, post-check=0, pre-check=0"); header('Content-type: image/jpg'); header('Content-Length: ' . $filesize); readfile($path_url . '/' . $photo); This works great, but the site is growing and this is starting to be a burden on the server. Question: is there a way to send the picture or picture data to the user, without the server first having to load the picture (obviously with the picture still being stored outside the webroot folder)?   I am wanting to query the members of a given playlist. I have the correct playlist id, and want to use a managedQuery() to look at the playlist members in question. What I have is this: private String [] columns = { MediaStore.Audio.Playlists.Members.PLAYLIST_ID, MediaStore.Audio.Playlists.Members.TITLE, }; Uri membersUri = MediaStore.Audio.Playlists.Members.getContentUri(volume, playlistId); Cursor tCursor = managedQuery(membersUri, columns, null, null, null); I don't know what the volume argument needs to be. I've tried this: MediaStore.Audio.Playlists.EXTERNAL_CONTENT_URI.toString() for the "volume" argument. That gives me back a valid content URI that looks like: content://media/external/audio/playlists/2/members However, my cursor comes back null. I probably am way off base -- I know what I want to do is very simple.

  Hi, I am using JMS Messaging in my java program. My messages are coming from IBM Main Frame and the messages are xml files. Mainframe pushwa messages that is xml files to the queue But when the java program reads the messages from the queue an additional character "?" gets added in front of the xml file. For example a file like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> becomes ?<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> when I read the message from the queue. And when I try to parse this I catch the following exception SAX Exception org.xml.sax.SAXParseException: Content is not allowed in trailing section. Content is not allowed in trailing section What could be the reason for this additional character getting added ?

  Hi I am doing Silverlight 4 In my database, I have a store procedure(having two parameters) which returns rows (with extra fields). So i have to make a complex type for those rows on my Models. And Making a service to call that function import store procedure. The RIA will automatically create a matching Entity(to the complex type) and an operation for me. However, I don't know how to validation the parameters of the operation on both client and server side. For example, the parameter must be an integer only (and greater than 10) or datetime only. below is my xaml code.   My application installs my Firefox add-on (by copying an my.xpi to [FF_inst_dir]\extensions). This application interact with my FF add-on. This application periodically has updates (.xpi with new version). When my application is updating it does next: Remove folder and content [FF_inst_dir]\extensions\MyExtension Copy new my.xpi to [FF_inst_dir]\extensions However, when I restart FF I see: FF ask me about install add-on. I agree. FF remove my.xpi (it's ok) FF remove folder and content [FF_inst_dir]\extensions\MyExtension I think that FF try to remove old plugin. Thus, I havn't installed plugin. How it can be installed correct?

  I have this code: $url="https://graph.facebook.com/me/friends?access_token=".$access_token."&fields=id,first_name,last_name&limit=10"; $content=file_get_contents($url); Whenever I use this on a non authenticated user I should get feedback of OAuthException, which doesn't show up in the PHP the $content is empty. While if I copy the URL to the browser I get the result and I see the exception. I want to detect if the user is logged in and the session data is valid. What might be wrong?

• 404 not found in telnet, works fine in browser

  i am having a very irritating problem, when i open a url ( http://celebs.widewallpapers.net/md/a/adriana-lima/1440/Adriana-Lima-1440x900-002.jpg ) in browser, it works fine.. but when i try to access it by telnet on bash, i get 404 not found!! my exact terminal: $ telnet celebs.widewallpapers.net 80 HEAD /md/a/adriana-lima/1440/Adriana-Lima-1440x900-002.jpg HTTP/1.0 [enter] [enter] HTTP/1.1 404 Not Found Server: nginx Date: Sun, 23 May 2010 21:36:05 GMT Content-Type: text/html; charset=windows-1251 Content-Length: 166 Connection: close please help me with this as i m trying to make a C batch-downloader, which is almost working as same as the telnet.

• best way to externalize HTML in GWT apps?

  What's the best way to externalize large quantities of HTML in a GWT app? We have a rather complicated GWT app of about 30 "pages"; each page has a sort of guide at the bottom that is several paragraphs of HTML markup. I'd like to externalize the HTML so that it can remain as "unescaped" as possible. I know and understand how to use property files in GWT; that's certainly better than embedding the content in Java classes, but still kind of ugly for HTML (you need to backslashify everything, as well as escape quotes, etc.) Normally this is the kind of thing you would put in a JSP, but I don't see any equivalent to that in GWT. I'm considering just writing a widget that will simply fetch the content from html files on the server and then add the text to an HTML widget. But it seems there ought to be a simpler way.

• jQuery to PHP: no input... kinda

  Hi all, I'm using jQuery to post HTTP requests to my PHP page (Apache/Linux, if that matters). I carefully validate on the client so that empty requests are not sent. However on occasions, I'd get an empty request like this: - $_POST collection empty ($_GET collection also empty); - Content-Length is nonzero (a number below 100, consistent with a valid POST from my script) - Content-Type properly application/x-www-form-urlencoded - reading from php://input yields an empty string It's as if $_POST is somehow eaten on the way. I checked the code very carefully - I don't do anything to the contents of $_POST. Any ideas, please?

  I have this code where I am using jQuery to navigate to the next page, because I want some effects to take place before that happens. The problem is, that everything after the prevent.Default(); doesn't seem to work! $("a").click(function(event){ event.preventDefault(); $(".content-center").animate({height: "0px"}, 500); navigate($(this).attr('href')); }); I need things to happen in that order, so that the animation happens and once it's complete - load the next page... • Loop through text nodes inside a div

  I am trying to do a text replace, but to do so, i need to loop through the text nodes of a div. Each Div upon clicking, loads via ajax it's appropriate content. But then I need to do text-replacing inside any of the text nodes inside there. My current code, after loading the ajax content, loops through all text nodes of the whole page, and therefore is too resource intensive. I have been looking for hours trying to find out how to both loop thru a div, and get the text nodes... and this has to work in firefox, google chrome and ie6. Any thoughts or suggestions?

  I have users uploading DOCX files which I make available for download. The issues we have been experiencing is the unknown mime types of DOCX files which causes IE to open these docs as Zip files. It is running on a Windows/IIS server. Because this is a shared host, I cannot change any server settings. I was thinking that I could just write some code that would handle DOCX files, perhaps custom output: if (extension=docx) { header("Content-Disposition: attachment; etc) header('Content-Type: application/application/vnd.openxmlformats-officedocument.wordprocessingml.document'); Output the file contents etc } Would this be a viable solution?? If so, can someone help fill in the gaps? (PS I know the above syntax is not correct, just a quick example)

• Run jquery image resizer after image is appended.

  Hi all, I am using this jQuery plugin to re-size images. http://hirdet2.extra.hu/kepresize/ . $(document).ready(function(){ $('#content img').kepresize({maxWidth: 200,maxHeight: 150}); .... .... $('#content').append('<img src="pathtofile"/>'); }); However, these images are only being appended after the document loads, depending on the users actions. Therefore the appended images are not being re-sized. I have had a play around with .live() but can't seem to get it right. Any help would be much appreciated.
