    Users are complaining about an Outlook plug-in my developers created, saying that the "verifying application requirements" message appears when they open Outlook. We do want the check to take place, but users have requested that we hide it. Is this possible to do, and if so, what can I tell my developers to do? (What direction should I point them in?) I'd be open to any advice or third party libraries (if there are any).     I've implemented a simple ping/pong protocol to discover other computers connected to the same WiFI router. This works fine on many routers, but it seems some public routers have UDP traffic blocked or disabled. What other options do I have to discover the computers connected to the router? I was thinking of brute forcing TCP attempts (trying to open connections to all possible IPs on my subnetwork) but this would be very costly and I would have to cycle several times and still not find every machine that's recently connected to the network.

    On this website,http://www.webdavsystem.com/server/documentation/ms_office_read_only, it states that in order to open a writable version of a MS Office doc this condition has to be met: Your WebDAV server must be configured on site root. Is this still true? Because I tried the SqlStorage sample and it works fine. I deployed the application on IIS 7, under <server>/TestWebDav and MS Office 2010 opened the documents in the sample just fine. Thanks

    Hi all, I was some time ago busy with ExtJS and ajax. I've have some data in csv format that i return. With ExtJS you can use the option isUpload to popup a file "filename.csv" where you can click save / open etc. Now i'm moving all ExtJS to Jquery and i don't seem to find something which handles this in Jquery, there is no option isUpload in ajax with jquery i guess? Does someone knows how to fix this? Thanks in advance

In my main method if have this: PropertyConfigurator.configure("log4j.properties"); The log4j.properties file sits in the same directory when I open the Jar. Yet I get this error: log4j:ERROR Could not read configuration file [log4j.properties]. java.io.FileNotFoundException: log4j.properties (The system cannot find the file specified) What am I doing wrong?
