    with $element->children() i cant get all the child elements of current element. but how can i get all the parent elements for current element with simplexml? lets say it looks like this: <entity id=1> <name>apple</name> <entities> <entity id=2> <name>mac</name> <entities> <entity id=3> <name>safari</name> </entity> </entities> </entity> </entities> </entity> if my current $element is id=3, i want to get the mac and apple entity ids. is this possible with simplexml cause i cant find any function allowing me to do this?

Imagine that I have in MySQL a users table and a user_connections table with 'friend requests'.     Hi there, I have readed about how to prevent CSRF-attacks in the last days. I am going to update the token in every pageload, save the token in the session and make a check when submitting a form. But what if the user has, lets say 3 tabs open with my website, and I just store the last token in the session? This will overwrite the token with another token, and some post-action is going to fail. Do I need to store all tokens in the session, or is there a better solution to get this working?   • Php code not executing - dies out when trying to create an object of class - no error displayed

    I'm having some problems with this piece of code. I've included a class declaration and trying to create an object of that class but my code dies out. It doesn't seem to be an include issue as all the files are being included even the files called for inclusion within the class file itself. However the object is not created - I tried to put an echo statement in the __construct function but nothing it just doesn't run infact doesn't create the object and the code won't continue from there - plus no error is reported or displayed and I have error reporting set to E_ALL and display errors set to true WHats happening here :(

It seems like it should be simple, but I haven't been able to find what looked like equivalent code anywhere. I would like to get the name of the path for the derived class. Is there any elegant way of doing this? I could do something along the lines of $this->getDir(__FILE__); but that would mean that I have to repeat myself quite often. I'm looking for a method that puts all the logic in the parent class, if possible.   • PHP mysqli Insert not working, but not giving any errors.

    As the title says Im trying to do a simple insert, but nothing actually is inserted into the table. I try to print out errors, but nothing is reported. My users table has many more fields than these 4, but they should all default. $query = 'INSERT INTO users (username, password, level, name) VALUES (?, ?, ?, ?)'; if($stmt = $db -> prepare($query)) { $stmt -> bind_param('ssis', $username, $password, $newlevel, $realname); $stmt -> execute(); $stmt -> close(); echo 'Any Errors: '.$db->error.PHP_EOL; } There are no errors given, but when I go to look at the table in phpmyadmin there is not a new row added. I know for sure that the types are correct (strings and integers). Is there something really wrong here or does it have something to do with the fact that I'm ignoring other columns. I have about 8 columns in the user table.

    For now I just want to use Gearman for background processing. For example, I need to email a recipient that they have a private message waiting for them once the sender submits their message into the DB. I assume I can run the worker/client and server on my primary server but I have no problems offloading some of the tasks to a different web server. Anyways, my question is how do I handle multiple "functions?" Let's say I need a job that handles the email portion and a job to handle image manipulation. Can I have multiple functions in the worker? I've followed a couple of examples I found online but each example only shows one function being initialized. Do I have to start up multiple "workers" to handle multiple functions?

I have a question probably lame but it made me stuck I have the a db query $query_Recordset10 = "SELECT * FROM products WHERE razdel='mix' AND ID='$ID+1' AND litraj='$litri' ORDER BY ID ASC"; $Recordset10 = mysql_query($query_Recordset10, $victor) or die(mysql_error()); $row_Recordset10 = mysql_fetch_array($Recordset10); $totalRows_Recordset10 = mysql_num_rows($Recordset10); This is the query for the next product in the line based in the ID of the current product thats on the page. But if the next product matching the criteria in the query is 2 or more ID's ahead my cycle breaks. So is there a way for skipping this rows and get the next ID matching the criteria.   • Ubiquity CmdUtils.setSelection won't replace HTML

    I'm attempting to write a Ubiquity command that allows you to replace a selected link or URL pointing to an image with that image itself. However, the CmdUtils.setSelection() function (documented here) seems to do nothing if any html tags are present in the selection, making it useless for replacing any links. When selecting plain text, it functions exactly as intended, replacing the text with an <img src="text"/> tag. Is there something I'm missing, or will this function simply not allow me to replace html? If the latter is the case, is there a function or method that will allow me to do this? Any other advice is welcome as well!     In a web app developed in PHP we are generating Quotations and Invoices (which are very simple and of single page) using TCPDF lib. The lib is working just great but it seems to generate very large PDF files. For example in our case it is generating PDF files as large as 4 MB (+/- a few KB). How to reduce this bloating of PDF files generated by TCPDF?     I am creating a voting system for a Q&A site project in which if a user asks a question, he/she losses -5 points; answer a question +5, vote a question +1, etc. (kind of like SO and yahoo answers) --To create the basic arithmetic, I have a "users_points" table that relates the user_id and their total points. +---+---------+ | 1 | 100 | +---+---------+ | 2 | 54 | +---+---------+ --Basically if the users does certain task, it would + or - the points. How do I prevent users from say voting an answer up 100 times. ex: I want a user to be only able to vote once per question, etc.

  • Why would some $_POST variables go missing for a form with PHP?

    Sometimes, multiple times a day in fact, users of my web application are submitting a certain form which has about a dozen form fields, half of which are hidden fields, and half of the $_POST data is simply not present in the processing script. Note that the fields that are not present are at the very bottom of the form. I know this because this raises a fatal error, and an email is dispatched to me which includes the post data. And of course, neither I nor any of the developers on my team can reproduce the problem. Flash is involved in the process, as I'm using a library called Uploadify to display a progress meter. Here is the flow...does anyone have ANY ideas at all why some of the post data would be getting wiped out? User visits edit screen for a page in the CMS I am using. Record id for the page is put into a form as a hidden value. User clicks the Uploadify browse button and selects a file (only single file selection is allowed). User clicks Submit button for my form. jQuery intercepts the form submit action, triggers Uploadify to start uploading, and returns false for the submit action (manually cancelling the form submit event so that Uploadify can take over). Uploadify uploads to a custom process script. Uploadify finishes uploading and triggers the Javascript completion callback. The Javascript callback calls $('#myForm').submit() to submit the form. This happens on multiple browsers (Firefox 3.5, 3.6, Safari, Internet Explorer 7, 8) and multiple platforms (Mac OS 10.5, 10.6 and Windows XP, 7).

  • wordpress conditional statements

    I am using this code in wordpress to display different content when different pages are loaded. I have 5 pages on the site called Home, Bio, Work, Contact and Notes. The Notes page is being used as a blog. Here is the code I am using. <?php if (is_page('contact')) { ?> get in touch with me <?php } elseif (is_single()) { ?> a note from me <?php } elseif (is_page('notes')) { ?> the notes of me <?php } else { ?> the <?php the_title(); ?> of me <?php } ?> So if it the contact page, it displays "get in touch with me" and if it is a single blog post page it displays "a note from me". However this is where I have a problem. The next statement should display "the notes of me" when it is on the Notes page. However, this does not happen. Instead it shows the default content which is in the "else" statement. any idea on why this is happening?

    I want to do the typical higlight code. So I have something like: $valor = preg_replace("/(".$_REQUEST['txt_search'].")/iu", "<span style='background-color:yellow; font-weight:bold;'>\\1</span>", $valor); Now, the request word could be something like "josé". And with it, I want "jose" or "JOSÉ" or "José" or ... highlighted too. With this expression, if I write "josé", it matches "josé" and "JOSÉ" (and all the case variants). It always matches the accented variants only. If I search "jose", it matches "JOSE", "jose", "Jose"... but not the accented ones. So I've partially what I want, cause I have case insensitive on accented and non-accented separately. I need it fully combined, wich means accent (unicode) insensitive, so I can search "jose", and highlight "josé", "josÉ", "José", "JOSE", "JOSÉ", "JoSé", ... I don't want to do a replace of accents on the word, cause when I print it on screen I need to see the real word as it comes. Any ideas? Thanks!
