Hi, does anyone know of an API or where I could get hold of data/script to create a <select> drop down lists for occupation and job type?
Regards,
Phil
I'd like to script p4 a little. Unfortunately, some of the filenames that we're tracking have "@" in the filename.
The filenames are in the form [email protected]. If I try to do something like p4 sync a\@b.xml on a mac (or p4 sync [email protected] on windows) it gives the error:
Invalid changelist/client/label/date '@b.xml'
Is there another way to escape it that perforce will recognize?
Hey Guys
Im looking for a jquery or ajax file uploader, Im currently using the FancyUploader which worked great until Flash brought out their update making all flash progress bars absolete, now whenever I try to upload large files... it will fill the progress bar to 100% in a matter of seconds even though the actual upload finished minutes after. So im now looking for a new uploading script that DOESNT require flash but can still display the progress.
Any suggestions?
I have a hash in Perl which has been dumped into from some legacy code the name of the key has now changed from simply reqHdrs to reqHdrs.bla
$rec->{reqHdrs.bla}
My problem is now I cant seem to access this field from the hash any ideas?
The following is my error
Download Script Output: Bareword "reqHdrs" not allowed while "strict subs" in use
I have a string that looks a little like this, world:region:bash
It divides folder names, so i can create a path for FTP functions.
However, i need at some points to be able to remove the last part of the string, so, for example
I have this world:region:bash
I need to get this world:region
The script wont be able to know what the folder names are, so some how it needs to be able to remove the string after the last colon.
I'm not only relatively new to JavaScript but also to RequireJS (coming from string C# background). Currently on my web page I have a number of JavaScript functions. Each one takes two arguments. Imagine that they look like this:
functionA(x1, y1) { ... }
functionB(x2, y2) { ... }
functionC(x3, y3) { ... }
Currently, these functions exist in a tag on my HTML page and I simply call each as needed.
My functions have dependencies on KnockoutJS, jQuery, and some other JS libraries. I currently have Script tags that synchronously load those external .js dependencies. But I want to use RequireJS so that they're loaded asynchronously, as needed. To do this, I plan to move all three functions above into an external .js file (a type of AMD "module") called MyFunctions.js. That file will have a define() call (to RequireJS's define function) that will look something like this:
define(["knockout", "jquery", ...], function("ko","jquery", ...) {???} );
My question is how to "wrap" my functionA, functionB, and functionC functions where the ??? is above so that I can use those functions on my page as needed. For example, in the onclick event handler for a button on my HTML page, I would want to call functionA and pass two it two arguments; same for functionB and functionC.
I don't fully understand how to expose those functions when they're wrapped in a define that itself is located in an external .js file. I know that define assures that my listed libraries are loaded asynchronously before the callback function is called, but after that's done I don't understand how the web page's script tags would use my functions. Would I need to use require to ensure they're available, such as:
require(["myfunctions"],function({not sure what to put here})]
I think I understand the basics of RequireJS but I don't understand how to wrap my functions so that they're in external .js files, don't pollute the global namespace, and yet can still be called from the main page so that arguments can be passed to them. I imagine they're are many ways to do this but in reviewing the RequireJS docs and some videos out there, I can't say I understand how...
Thank you for any help.

Hi,
I'm trying to extract data from one of my websites using Greasemonkey. Problem is, the script runs 6 times because apparently the page loads content from 6 different servers.
So if I put in an alert ("Hey"); the code runs 6 times and I get 6 alerts.
How can I wait for the entire page to load and then start playing with the DOM. Also, I'm using jQuery.
Thanks
What's the easiest way to split a file and add a header to each section?
The unix split command does everything that I need minus being able to add a header.
Any easy way to do it with existing tools before I script it up?
in this case I don't want to use the ticketing system or the wiki, simply connect it to browse multiple repos.
I would think it would be as easy as having a script update the repository link in its conf.ini file every time you wanted to look at a new repo, right?
I had code on Download.aspx for downloading different type of file like doc, xls, pdf etc. I usually call the page to download a file. In one of my instance i am calling this from a java script code which works fine for http://loaclhost/tp/howwuworks/howwuworks.aspx but if i put ipaddress instead of localhost then its not working.
I'd like to have a shell script redirect stdout of a child process in the following manner
Redirect stdout to a file
Display the output of the process in real time
I know I could do something like
#!/bin/sh
./child > file
cat file
But that would not display stdout in real time. For instance, if the child was
#!/bin/sh
echo 1
sleep 1
echo 2
The user would see "1" and "2" printed at the same time
I have an unknown number of functions in my python script (well, it is known, but not constant) that start with site_...
I was wondering if there's a way to go through all of these functions in some main function that calls for them.
something like:
foreach function_that_has_site_ as coolfunc
if coolfunc(blabla,yada) == true:
return coolfunc(blabla,yada)
so it would go through them all until it gets something that's true.
thanks!
i am submitting a from using jQuery ajax, and server is returning json response. but instead of the script, parsing the json result, the browser is prompting me to download the json response.
I have had this problem before, where i forgot to return false at the end of the event handler. But this time im clueless why this is happening.
anyone has experienced this problem..
thanks
I have google adsense in a block, and I want to hide the block when the page is a "Page not found" error page. It's against adsenses TOS to show their ads on error pages.
I figure there must be a way to write a php script to put in the Page specific visibility options. Does anyone know how to do this?
I want assign certain values to some of the cck fields through Java script while the form is loaded. I think it is best to use the body/ form onload attribute. But how do i define that in drupal? Could someone help me with this or a better solution?
I have a group of divs which I'm dynamically generating when a button is clicked with the class, "brick". This gives them dimension and starting position of top: 0. I'm trying to get them to animate to the bottom of the view using a css transition with a second class assignment which gives them a bottom position: 0;. Can't figure out the syntax for adding a second class to elements with a pre-existing class. On inspection they only show the original class of, "brick".
HTML
<!DOCTYPE html>
<html>
<head>
<script src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-2.1.0.min.js"></script>
<meta charset="utf-8">
<title>JS Bin</title>
</head>
<body>
<div id="container">
<div id="button" >Click Me</div>
</div>
</body>
</html>
CSS
#container {
width: 100%;
height: 100vh;
padding: 10vmax;
}
#button {
position: fixed;
}
.brick {
position: relative;
top: 0;
height: 10vmax;
width: 20vmax;
background: white;
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
transition: all 1s;
}
.drop {
transition: all 1s;
bottom 0;
}
The offending JS:
var brickCount = function() {
var count = prompt("How many boxes you lookin' for?");
for(var i=0; i < count; i++) {
var newBrick = document.createElement("div");
newBrick.className="brick";
document.querySelector("#container")
.appendChild(newBrick);
}
};
var getBricks = function(){
document.getElementByClass("brick");
};
var changeColor = function(){
getBricks.style.backgroundColor =
'#'+Math.floor(Math.random()*16777215).toString(16);
};
var addDrop = function() {
getBricks.brick = "getBricks.brick" + " drop";
};
var multiple = function() {
brickCount();
getBricks();
changeColor();
addDrop();
};
document.getElementById("button").onclick = function() {multiple();};
Thanks!
I've got two systems, one with Windows XP and another with 7, both running Firefox 3.6, the same version of Selenium RC and the newest nunit.
When I run tests on 7, it is executed extremely slowly (I mean walking by textbox and setting its values), but when I execute this script on Windows XP it is extremely fast.
Do you have the same experience? Do you know what the problem might be?

It seems that Cron doesn't support a seconds interval. What is the easiest way to run a cli script (php) every 15 seconds? Is there a cron tool that works specifically with seconds (then I could use Cron to call it every minute)?
