  We had recently had a vendor switch to a fortinet firewall. We were given the FortinetSLVPNclient (version 4.0.2148) to use. This has some simple command line switches that allow you to connect from the commandline (cmd.exe this is on windows) but they seem to do nothing. Anyone have any luck with this or any alternative ssl vpn clients with scriptable installers? I have been through the documentation on the site and have seen my hopes dashed.

  Since yesterday I have been wrestling with this problem: unable to load configuration from uwsgi When I google it, nothing comes up. I am trying to run UWSGI under nginx with a very simple uwsgi.ini file. The file is being pointed to correctly. Here is the current find I am using (I am doing a shell escape in PHP, so that is the reasoning for the variables): find '$dir' -name '$str'\* -print | head -10 How could I have this order the search by most recently modified? (Note I do not want it to sort 'after' the search, but rather find the results based on what was most recently modified.)

  i am using visual studio team system 2008 and VSS 2005. I took a latest copy of a project from VSS. Now when i try to open that project, it is showing error "This version of visual studio does not support source control" and " Unexpected error enocountered. Restart the application Error : no such interfaces are supported File : vsee\internal\vscomptr.inl". When i open solution explorer, all projects are showing as unavailable. I tried VS--Tools--options-- source control--plugin selection and set plug in to Microsoft "Visual source safe" and when i open "Environment" tab it is showing "an error occured while loading this property page" Can someone help me???

I understand the concept of cpu_shares which can be set/displayed with virsh schedinfo, but I also found vcpu_period and vcpu_quota listed with this command as shown below: Looking at the man page, I know what the acceptable input values are but could somebody please explain in simple terms what these two parameters actually do?

• Cannot start TFS Build service: Error 1227

  When I try to start the TFS 2008 Build service on the port 9191 I get the following error message: Windows could not start the Visual Studio Team Foundation Build service on Local Computer. Error 1227: The network transport endpoint already has an address associated with it. If I use another port it works, but I need it to be the default, 9191. I tried using the following commands wcfhttpconfig.exe free 9191 wcfhttpconfig.exe reserve Domain\ServiceAccount 9191 Both commands succeeses, but the service does not start. I will appreciate any help!

• Installing Visual Studio 2003 on Windows 7 64-bit

  My team is currently supporting a 1.1 app and we are installing VS.NET 2003 on Windows 7. We haven't had any issues on the 32-bit machines, but FrontPage Server Extensions are failing to install on my 64-bit machine. Others on the Interwebs say that they have done this successfully, so I wanted to know if anyone here has and if they know of a solution. The specific issue is that FPSE (to clarify, I'm installing "FrontPage 2002 Server Extensions for IIS 7.0") fails to install correctly. In EventViewer I get the error: Microsoft FrontPage Server Extensions: Error #3004f Message: Unable to read configuration information for Microsoft Internet Information Server: ImpersonateLoggedOnUser Error. I've looded for errors with ImpersonateLoggedOnUser on 64-bit and did find a case where it fails on 64-bit when UAC is turned off (which I did have it off). I turned UAC back on, ran command prompt as administrator, and ran msiexec on the FPSE package. Still no dice. • Plastic SCM vs. SVN

  I'm currently researching new source control options for a team of 10 developers. We do .net development in Visual Studio 2008. We currently use VSS for source control. We are looking for a centralized source control solution(non-distributed), with a nice Visual Studio plugin. My manager has recommended Plastic SCM and I've always heard good things about Subversion. I'm trying to decide if we should adopt Subversion or Plastic SCM. There isn't much information out there about Plastic SCM (except what they've written) and I was wondering if it would be a good solution. They make it sound as if branching is much simpler. Subversion on the other hand has a robust, mature community, and it has been thoroughly field tested. What are the pros and cons to these tools? Also are there any other tools that you could suggest? • Suppressing line specific XCode compiler warnings

  Similar to Ben Gottlieb's question, I have a handful of deprecated calls that are bugging me. Is there a way to suppress warnings by line? For instance: if([[UIApplication sharedApplication] respondsToSelector:@selector(setStatusBarHidden:withAnimation:)]) { [[UIApplication sharedApplication] setStatusBarHidden:YES withAnimation:UIStatusBarAnimationSlide]; } else { [[UIApplication sharedApplication] setStatusBarHidden:YES animated:NO]; //causes deprecation warning } All I care about is that line. I don't want to turn off all deprecation warnings. I would also rather not do something like suppress specific warnings by file. There have been a few other circumstances where I wanted to flag a specific line as okay even though the compiler generates a warning. I essentially want to let my team know that the problem has been handled and stop getting bugged about the same line over and over.

  I have followed installing openLDAP from http://www.openldap.org/doc/admin24/quickstart.html and follow the tasks up to # 9. when I run [ su root -c /usr/local/libexec/slapd ] it asks for password and after I type the password no indication of if server has been started or not. When I run [ ldapsearch -x -b '' -s base '(objectclass=*)' namingContexts ] I get this error [ ldap_sasl_bind(SIMPLE): Can't contact LDAP server (-1) ] I can't figure it out what is the problem. • Sharepoint bug database - any good?

  We've been using Sharepoint as a poor man's bug tracking database for the last couple of projects that we did. No one is really happy with the solution so I'm looking for alternatives. I happened to stumble upon the Bug Database Template for Sharepoint. If it is halfway decent it might be a good choice for us since the transition would be smooth as the team is already used to Sharepoint. Anyone have any experience using this template? Any major problems? Any major missing features? Is there any documentation out there beyond that download page? Thanks for the help.

• ERROR: Could not contact the SSO server

  Hi, I'm getting the following error on my dev machine when attempting to manage SSO settings: ERROR: 0xC0002A0F : Could not contact the SSO server 'SSODB'. Check that SSO is configured and that the SSO service is running on that server. The Enterprise Single Sign-On Service, RPC service, and COM+ System Application service were all started when I checked, but I gave them a restart anyway and it didn't fix the problem. I can access the SSODB through SSMS. I unconfigured SSO through BizTalk and reconfigured it (successfully). Alas, this also did not help. SSO was previously working fine. I did notice this morning upon reboot that my browser home page was reset back to our corporate site (meaning something may have been pushed to machine this morning when I signed on) but no one else on my team is experiencing the same issues. I'm not sure what to try next. Anyone have any ideas? Thanks in advance!

  Our team is investigating various options for static analysis in our project, and have mixed opinions about whether we want our Continuous Integration build to fail because of warnings from static analysis. The argument against failing the build is that there are often exceptions to the rules, and attempting to work around them just to make the build succeed reduces productivity. A better approach would be to generate reports with the build, and regularly dedicate developer time to addressing the reported issues. The counter-argument is that it is easy for the technical debt to build up if the bugs are not addressed immediately. Also, if the build fails when a potential bug is introduced, the amount of time required to fix it is reduced. What are your thoughts?

  I want to have a mapped drive in OSX which points to my NAS - however I've found that I have to do it after every single reboot. I'm a mac noob, so would like to just have the drive mapped at all times like windows does, but instead each time I reboot and forget to map the drive, I accidentally open itunes and find no music as it's all stored on my NAS! is there a simple way of doing this? have I missed something really silly?

• Visual Studio 2010 and TFS 2008: Building unit test projects

  Hi, We are currently taking VS2010 for a testdrive and so far we are a little stumped with how it just won't cooperate with our existing Team Foundation Server 2008. We still have all our projects on .NET 3.5 and whenever we are now building a solution that contains a unit test project (which automatically builds in .NET 4.0) the TFS won't build it. The .NET 4.0 framework is installed on the TFS 2008. The error we're receiving is: [Any CPU/Release] c:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5\Microsoft.Common.targets(0,0): warning MSB3245: Could not resolve this reference. Could not locate the assembly "Microsoft.VisualStudio.QualityTools.UnitTestFramework, Version=10.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=b03f5f7f11d50a3a, processorArchitecture=MSIL". Check to make sure the assembly exists on disk. If this reference is required by your code, you may get compilation errors. As a temporary workaround we are now forced to remove all our test projects in order for our solutions to build.
