IPP linker errors on cygwin

I've built a program that uses mkl and ipp that runs on mac and linux. I'm now building that program for Windows using cygwin and gcc, and can't get it to link. The errors I'm getting are: Warning: .drectve -defaultlib:"uuid.lib" ' unrecognized ../../../bin/libMath.a(VectorUtility.cxx.o):VectorUtility.cxx:(.text+0x95): undefined reference to _ippGetLibVersion' ../../../bin/libMath.a(VectorUtility.cxx.o):VectorUtility.cxx:(.text+0x157): undefined reference to `_ippsWinHann_32f_I' (and many more like that). I'm using link path: /opt/intel/IPP/6.1.2.041/ia32/lib and linking to the following: ippiemerged, ippimerged, ippmemerged, ippmmerged, ippsemerged, ippsmerged and ippcorel. Can someone point me to what I'm doing wrong?

I have never worked on classic ASP and unfortunately i am supposed to modify an old classisc ASP web site. ASP.Net ViewState does take care of maintaining control's sate automatically. How do i do it in classic ASP ? I have two radio buttons and a text box placed on my ASP page, when user types in something in the text box based on radio button selection we display different search results. Now what i need is to keep the previously selected radio button as checked after the page is postbacked. How do i do that ?

C# dealing with invalid user input

Have a simple console app where user is asked for several values to input. Input is read via console.readline(). Ex Name: Fred //string Lastname: Ashcloud //string Age: 28 //int I would like to make sure that int and double types are entered and if the user enters garbage, lets him repeat the procedure. Example, if the user enters "28 years old" where age expects int the app will crash. What is the best way to check for these inputs? Right now I can only think of: while (!Int32.TryParse(text, out number)) { Console.WriteLine("Error write only numbers"); text = Console.ReadLine(); } Is there any other way to do this? try catch statements if one wants to give a more detailed feedback to the user? How in that case?

Regexp to add attribute in any xml tags

Hello, I have well-formed xml documents into string variables. I want to use preg_replace to add a defined attribute to every xml tags. For example replace: <tag1> <tag2> some text </tag2> </tag1> by: <tag1 attr="myAttr"> <tag2 attr="myAttr"> some text </tag2> </tag1> So I basically need the regex expression to find any start tags and add my attribute, but I'm a complete regex noob. Onclick starts gif animation and .mp3, how to sync across browsers

So I am using a text-based jplayer (http://jplayer.org/latest/demo-04/) that I want to sync with a gif animation. Onclick the text link does two things -1. feed the jplayer an mp3 and 2. trigger an animation (via SwapImage). It is important for these two to start at the same time. Right now, this works perfectly in chrome/firefox but in IE and mobile browsers the audio lags considerably. I have tried with the audio preloaded (it is a small 40K mp3) and it makes no difference. I dont think its a bandwidth problem because the problem is the same on repeat clicks. Any pointers on how I can resolve this...

I have initialized bundle via <f:loadBundle basename="ui.all.bundles.AppResources_en" var="msg"/> When i need to translate some text, i am using a key to resourceBundle, to get a value of it, for example: #{msg.someText}. But, now i want to translate text, which key is a value of another variable. For example: I have variable String textToTransl. It`s value is status_booked. In my AppResources is defined, that status_booked means "It is booked!", so, when i am pointing it to #{msg.textToTransl} i need to see "It is booked!" How can i make it work?

JS dynamic img change and SEO

Hi all, I've built a web site using jquery to make nice transitions between content. The code works this way: there are 2 imgs (body and footer) when I click on a link (instead of going to another page) I fade out the 2 imgs and change the src attribute of the 2. When the new imgs are loaded I fade them back in. I'm using SWFaddress to allow user go directly to internal content. Now I'd like to make my content indexed by google and other Search engines, all the text content is inside the imgs, So I've got the text in ALT attribute. My question is: if a dinamically change the imgs ALT attribute using JS, will spiders be able to read it properly? consider that I'm using SWFaddress to create a sitemap.. Thanks

search engine (solr/sphinx) question

i want to make my threads content searchable with full text search engines like solr. but i wonder one thing. should i index just the thread.title, thread.body and post.body or should i index username, created date, nr of posts, views, country, region and city too that belongs to thread? i mean when an user search for a thread he will get hits returned containing thread title, 2 lines of body, which user has posted it, creation date, tags, and so on. should i index all this information too? but then it would be pretty much the whole database. or should i just index the 3 first columns i mentioned for full text search. and another question. when an user post a new thread, then i have to immidiately tell solr to add that row? if im not, how would it be searchable?

How can I capture a multiline pattern using a regular expressions in java?

I have a text file that I need to parse using regular expressions. The text that I need to capture is in multiline groups like this: truck zDoug Doug's house (123) 456-7890 [email protected] 30 61234.56 8/10/2003 vehicle eRob Rob's house (987) 654-3210 [email protected] For this example I need to capture truck followed by the next seven lines.In other words, in this "block" I have 8 groups. This is what I've tried but it will not capture the next line: (truck)\n(\w). NOTE: I'm using the program RegExr to test my regex before I port it to Java.

What regular expression(s) would I use to remove escaped html from large sets of data.

Our database is filled with articles retrieved from RSS feeds. I was unsure of what data I would be getting, and how much filtering was already setup (WP-O-Matic Wordpress plugin using the SimplePie library). This plugin does some basic encoding before insertion using Wordpress's built in post insert function which also does some filtering. I've figured out most of the filters before insertion, but now I have whacko data that I need to remove. This is an example of whacko data that I have data in one field which the content I want in the front, but this part removed which is at the end: <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/SoundOnTheSound?i=xFxEpT2Add0:xFbIkwGc-fk:V_sGLiPBpWU" border="0"></img> <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/SoundOnTheSound?d=qj6IDK7rITs" border="0"></img> <img src="http://feeds.feedburner.com/~ff/SoundOnTheSound?i=xFxEpT2Add0:xFbIkwGc-fk:D7DqB2pKExk" Notice how some of the images are escape and some aren't. I believe this has to do with the last part being cut off so as to be unrecognizable as an html tag, which then caused it to be html endcoded. Another field has only this which is now filtered before insertion, but I have to get rid of the others: <img src="http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2183/2289902369_1d95bcdb85.jpg" alt="post_img" width="80" (all examples are on one line, but broken up for readability) Question: What is the best way to work with the above escaped html (or portion of an html tag)? I can do it in Perl, PHP, SQL, Ruby, and even Python. I believe Perl to be the best at text parsing, so that's why I used the Perl tag. And PHP times out on large database operations, so that's pretty much out unless I wanted to do batch processing and what not. PS One of the nice things about using Wordpress's insert post function, is that if you use php's strip_tags function to strip out all html, insert post function will insert <p> at the paragraph points. Let me know if there's anything more that I can answer. Some article that didn't quite answer my questions. Implement subitem in SQLite

How could I implement a sub item where the item would have a parent to that of the same item. For example, I have a database that holds tasks/todos. Each todo has a title(TEXT), completed(INTEGER [1 if true, 0 if false]), and due date(TEXT) column. I would like to add functionality to have subtasks, where a task could possibly have a parent task. How would I implement this in SQLite for Android? NOT IN SQL! So no foreign keys (triggers are allow, though)! Could I just have a separate table (subtask) and have a foreign key trigger to link subtask(INTEGER parent) to task(INTEGER PRIMARY KEY AUTOINCREMENT _id)? Or should I add a column to my original task table(INTEGER parent)? How could I implement this?

xpath help substring expression

Hi i have a document from which i am trying to extract a date. But the problem is within the node along with the date their is some text too. Something like <div class="postHeader"> Posted on July 20, 2009 9:22 PM PDT </div> From this tag i just want the date item not the Posted on text. something like ./xhtml:div[@class = 'postHeader'] is getting everything. and to be precise, the document i have is basically a nodelist of this elements for eg i will get 10 nodes of these elements with different date values but to be worse the problem is sometime inside these tags some random other tags also pops us like anchors etc. Can i write a universal expath which will just get the date out of the div tag?

List replies in a winform

In my C# app I get an xml from a server that contains some replies like in a forum thread (with elements like author, time, body, title, whatever). When I get this xml, I create a new form in which i want to display these replies, and a little text box with an "add reply" button. I'd also like some edit buttons on perhaps my own replies in the reply list displayed in the form. The simplest way that came to my mind to display the replies is to put a web browser control in the form, generate a full html page in a string from the xml, and throw it in that web browser control. And under it i can put the text box with the add reply button. Everything is ok, except that i have no idea of how i could implement the edit function on my own replies (i mean i could add a link in there... but link to what) I would like to know if there is a way to get that edit event from the web browser control (my guess is i can't) or another (maybe simple/easy) idea of displaying the replies in a winform using other controls

has the HTML version changed lately (like from ie7 to IE8?) I notice the following change that cause me some troulbe - I am having a code that is similar to this: <form method="POST" action="/admin/modify"> <input type="text"/> <button onclick="dosomething()">Press</button> </form> <script type="text/javascript"> function doSomething(){ // doesn't matter what actually } </script> What is weired to me in this code is that by pressing the button inside the form, all I want is to perform some javascript action but eventaully it causes the form to be submitted too, even when I am not willing to do it. So - is it true? and if so how can I perform some java script actoin inside a from but prevent the form from being submitted automatically?

Performing complicated XPath queries in Scala

What's the simplest API to use in scala to perform the following XPath queries on a document? //s:Annotation[@type='attitude']/s:Content/s:Parameter[@role='type' and not(text())] //s:Annotation[s:Content/s:Parameter[@role='id' and not(text())]]/@type The only documentation I can find on Scala's XML libraries has no information on performing complicated real XPath queries. I used to like JDOM for this purpose (in Java), but since JDOM doesn't support generics, it will be painful to work with in Scala. (Other XML libraries for Java have tended to be even more painful in Java, but I admit I don't know the landscape real well.)

How to skip integers in C++ taken from a fstream txt file?

I need to create a function that uses a loop. This function will open a text file and then must be able to skip a variable number of leading random integers. The program must be able to handle any number of leading random integers. Example if the opened file reads this on its first line: 100 120 92 82 38 49 102 and the SKIP_NUMBER variable is assigned 3 the number the function would grab is 82. The function must continue to grab the integers every SKIP_NUMBER until it reaches the end of the file. These integers taken from the txt file are then placed into another text file. Re-measuring custom item renderer on a List

I'm writing an Adobe Air client to a service similar to Twitter. On the timeline (List component) I have a custom item renderer which is basically a Canvas with a fixed-width Image and a Text control, which is multi-line. If the text is long enough to change the Canvas height, it will only be resized if I manually change the width of the Window, forcing a redraw of all renderers. If I simply scroll through the List, all "new" renderers will have the minimum height possible (which is the Image height). Any ideas on how to force the re-measurement of the renderer when I set it's data? Thanks in advance! :)
