• .NET regex: Match.nextMatch() never returns

  I have a regex that seems to have worked fine for the past year or so, and all of a sudden today with a new slightly different text to match against, Match.nextMatch() never returns. I'm no regex expert and I'm sure the regex can be optimized, but previous data sets weren't much more complex than what I've tried today. Furthermore, the regex works fine against the offending data set in a tool like RegexBuddy; it's only in .net (running in debug in Visual Studio) that it seems to hang. Nevertheless, if anyone can figure out how to tweak the regex to make it work, I'd really appreciate it. This is the regex: <tr>(<td[^>]*><a[^>]*>(?<callOptionTicker>[A-Z]{1,5}\d{6}C\d{8})</a></td>)(<td[^>]*>.*?</td>){6}(<td[^>]*><b><a[^>]*>(?<strikePrice>\d*\.\d*)</a></b></td>)(<td[^>]*><a[^>]*>(?<putOptionTicker>[A-Z]{1,5}\d{6}P\d{8})</a></td>) It's meant to extract put and call option tickers from a Yahoo option chain page (i.e., raw HTML).   I am sure this was done 1000 times in 1000 different places. The question is I want to know if there is a better/standard/faster way to check if current "time" is between two time values given in hh:mm:ss format. For example, my big business logic should not run between 18:00:00 and 18:30:00.   I'm working on an ASP.NET website where I am using an asp:repeater with paging done through a VB.NET code-behind file. I'm having trouble with the database connection though. As far as I can tell, the paging is working, but I can't get the data to be certain. The database is a Microsoft Access database. • Java Applet not caching

  Hello world, I'm having a problem with a Java applet I've deployed that is refusing to be cached in the jvm's "sticky" cache (or by the browser). For some reason every time a user loads the page this applet is on, the jvm re-downloads the jar file from the server which causes a long delay. The webpage containing the applet is being accessed via the internet, so according to Sun's Java applet documentation I'm using an <applet> tag rather than an <object> or <embed> tag. Any help debugging or identifying the problem would be much appreciated.   I need serious help diving the positive numbers and the negative numbers. I am to accumulate the total of the negative values and separately accumulate the total of the positive values. • Google Maps: openInfoWindowTabsHtml + GDownloadUrl (Ajax call) question

  I am facing the following problem. On an Google Map I want to add info windows with tabs, where content is loaded from an external file using the GDownloadUrl method. The code works about fine, but with two problems. a) The first time I click on a marker, nothing hapens. I need to click twice to get an info box. After that it works ok. b) When I close an info box and open it again, the tabs repeat themselves. Every time I reopen the info box, those tabs get repeated. So, if using the code below and open the info box 3 times, I get 6 tabs (Info, Photos, Info, Photos, Info, Photos). Any idea of what I am doing wrong here? • jQuery RJS inserting string vs dom.

  So I am trying to use jQuery to insert data from an ajax call. I actually use the jquery.form plugin, and have the ajax form submitted with a dataType: 'script'. The response is a jquery expression which contains a <%= javascript_escape(render ...) %> erb tag (similar to what the railscasts episode 136 instructs to do). However the end result is that the full text of the render is inserted as if that was the content to be inserted into the page, as text, not as dom elements. Could the fact that the render had some newlines at the beginning be the cause? Dom text: "\n \n &lt;li>....&lt;/li>" I also tried having jQuery just read the response as a script and execute it, and used the prototype-based rjs stuff, same effect, the text is inserted into the dom. Are there any reasons why such a behavior would be experienced? A bit of clarification: My response.js.erb is jQuery("#content").append("<%= escape_javascript(render(:partial => "widgets")) %>"); jQuery("#information").text("Finally, something happened!"); The full text inside the append() call is inserted as text into #content.

• Multiple Application Support Directories for iPhone Simulator?

  I am developing an iPhone app with someone else. The app works fine for me, but he is running into a bug. We think this bug is related to the fact that he is getting multiple Application directories for this same app. In my ~/Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator/User/Applications, I only have one folder at all times. He says that he will get 3 or 4 directories when he is only working on this one app. We think this is our problem because our bug has to do with displaying images that are stored in the app's Documents folder. Does anyone know why he is ending up with multiple directories or how to stop it? The onClick event adds a margin-top of 6px to give the impressions of a button depress. I'm then using PHP to detect which page the user is visiting to add an .active class to the relevant menu item. The question, the .active class should remain in place until the user hovers over a different menu item. At which point the .active class should be removed from this element - As the .active class is reused on the .hover events. • Help with php code - need to add condition to make one link https

  Hi, I have a wordpress blog and I need to make one of the pages secure. I have been told to make the link to that page point to https://claimpage.html as opposed to http://claimpage.html. The problem is I don't actually create the menu that links the user to the individual pages. This is done automatically by the code in the background. I think I need to put in some sort of an IF statement, saying, if the title of the page is "claim now" then use https otherwise use http. • jackson failing to map empty array with No content to map to Object due to end of input

  I send a query to an api and map the json results to my classes using Jackson. When I get some results it works fine, but when there are no results it fails with java.io.EOFException: No content to map to Object due to end of input at org.codehaus.jackson.map.ObjectMapper._initForReading(ObjectMapper.java:2766) at org.codehaus.jackson.map.ObjectMapper._readMapAndClose(ObjectMapper.java:2709) at org.codehaus.jackson.map.ObjectMapper.readValue(ObjectMapper.java:1854) at com.jthink.discogs.query.DiscogsServerQuery.mapQuery(DiscogsServerQuery.java:382) at com.jthink.discogs.query.SearchQuery.mapQuery(SearchQuery.java:37)* But the thing is the api isn't returning nothing at all, so I dont see why it is failing.   Looking at n3092, in §6.5.4 we find the equivalency for a range-based for loop. It then goes on to say what __begin and __end are equal to. It differentiates between arrays and other types, and I find this redundant (aka, confusing). It says for arrays types that __begin and __end are what you expect: a pointer to the first and a pointer to one-past the end. Then for other types, __begin and __end are equal to begin(__range) and end(__range), with ADL. Namespace std is associated, in order to find the std::begin and std::end defined in <iterator>, §24.6.5. However, if we look at the definition of std::begin and std::end, they are both defined for arrays as well as container types. And the array versions do exactly the same as above: pointer to the first, pointer to one-past the end. Why is there a need to differentiate arrays from other types, when the definition given for other types would work just as well, finding std::begin and std::end? Some abridged quotes for convenience: §24.6.5 The range-based for statement — if _RangeT is an array type, begin-expr and end-expr are __range and __range + __bound, respectively, where __bound is the array bound. If _RangeT is an array of unknown size or an array of incomplete type, the program is ill-formed. — otherwise, begin-expr and end-expr are begin(_range) and end(_range), respectively, where begin and end are looked up with argument-dependent lookup (3.4.2). In my CBTProc callback, I want to intercept all windows that are QWidgets: HWND hwnd= FindWindow(L"QWidget", NULL); which works well, since I get a corresponding HWND (I checked with Spy++) Then, I want to get a pointer to the QWidget, so I can use its functions: QWidget* q = QWidget::find(hwnd); but here's the problem, the returned pointer is always 0. Am I not injecting my code into the process properly? Or am I not using QWidget::find() as I should?   Hi folks, In my app I am polling the webserver for messages every second and displaying them in the frontend. I use setInterval to achieve this. However as long as the user stays on that page the client keeps polling the server with requests even if there is no data. The server does give an indication when no more messages are being generated by setting a variable. I thought of using this variable to clearInterval and stop the timer but that didn't work. What else can I use in this situation? I am using jquery and django. This makes sense but I am not yet able to figure out how to maintain the value of gSelectedPlant. Yes it takes a null intitally but on databindingcomplete it becomes 1.

  Hi, I've seen a lot of questions on self-referencing tables in Linq2Sql and how to eagerly load all child records for a particular root object. I've implemented a temporary solution by accessing all underlying properties, but you can see that this doesn't do the performance any good. The thing is though, that all records are correlated with each-other using a correlation GUID. Example below: RootElement - Id: 1 - ParentId: null - CorrelationId: 4D68E512-4B55-44f4-BA5A-174B630A03DD ChildElement1 - Id: 2 - ParentId: 1 - CorrelationId: 4D68E512-4B55-44f4-BA5A-174B630A03DD ChildElement2 - Id: 3 - ParentId: 2 - CorrelationId: 4D68E512-4B55-44f4-BA5A-174B630A03DD ChildElement1 - Id: 4 - ParentId: 2 - CorrelationId: 4D68E512-4B55-44f4-BA5A-174B630A03DD In my case, I do have access to the correlationId, so I can retrieve all of my records by performing the following query: from element in db.Elements where element.CorrelationId == '4D68E512-4B55-44f4-BA5A-174B630A03DD' select element; But, of course, I want these elements associated with each other by executing this query: from element in db.Elements where element.CorrelationId == '4D68E512-4B55-44f4-BA5A-174B630A03DD' && element.ParentId == null select element; My question is: is it possible to combine the results the first query as some sort of 'caching mechanism' for the query where I get the root element?   I want to write a function that outputs something to a ostream that's passed in, and return the stream, like this: std::ostream& MyPrint(int val, std::ostream* out) { *out << val; return *out; } int main(int argc, char** argv){ std::cout << "Value: " << MyPrint(12, &std::cout) << std::endl; return 0; } It would be convenient to print the value like this and embed the function call in the output operator chain, like I did in main(). It doesn't work, however, and prints this: $ ./a.out 12Value: 0x6013a8 The desired output would be this: Value: 12 How can I fix this? Do I have to define an operator<< instead? UPDATE: Clarified what the desired output would be. UPDATE2: Some people didn't understand why I would print a number like that, using a function instead of printing it directly. This is a simplified example, and in reality the function prints a complex object rather than an int.
