  Hello. I want to use SessionLocaleResolver to get the locale from user session. The documentation says this: "Another option of resolving locales is by SessionLocaleResolver. It resolves locales by inspecting a predefined attribute in a user’s session. If the session attribute doesn’t exist, this locale resolver will determine the default locale from the accept-language HTTP header." But it does not say which attribute do I have to put in session. Y tried saving in session an attribute "lang" with value "en" but it did not work. Anybody knows which attribute do I have to save in session (key,value)?

• Google Visualization API - Line and Scatter on one Chart.

  Does any one know if it is possible to use the Default Google Scatter Chart in the Google Visualizations Gallery to draw a scatter chart that has both a series with points only, a series with a line of best fit and on top of this a set of lines across the chart indicating limits. i.e. at +/- 20% etc. The chart we need is actually a Control Chart with multiple series and individual formatting of each series displayed on the chart. i.e some series with only points other series with a line of best fit. Does any one know of a Control Chart that has already been done using the Google Visualization API?

• Setting the colour scheme for a Silverlight app from an external resource

  I have a Silverlight 3 application containing six custom user controls. I'd like to load the colour scheme for these controls from an external resource. The code and XAML containing a default colour scheme would be built in the XAP. Then a parameter on the object tag would contain a URL from where alternate colours can be dynamically loaded. By the way, the Silverlight 3 application theme feature could be used if that's possible but is really overkill. Only colours need to be changed. Is this possible and how would you recommend to do it?

I tried to hide the navigationBar with [self.navigationController setNavigationBarHidden:YES animated:animated]; but it just remove the navigationBar in my controller but I still have the NavigationBar.png when I'm playing a video. I tried to set the barstyle but it doesn't work either ... self.navigationController.navigationBar.barStyle = UIBarStyleDefault; Could you help me ?

Why does doing it the template_query itself changes? I'm new to python and I'm getting pretty confused.

• Is is possible to programmatically change the resourceProviderFactoryType?

  I have a custom implementation of IResourceProvider and ResourceProviderFactory. Now the default way of making sure ASP.NET uses these custom types is to use the web.config and specify the factory like so: <globalization resourceProviderFactoryType="Product.Globalization.TranslationResourceProviderFactory" /> This works perfectly, except that in my resource provider I need database access. I want to use my IoC-container(Ninject) to inject the repositories needed to access this data into the CustomResourceProvider. But how am I going to do this? I have no control over the instantiation of the factory, so the factory can't get a reference to my IoC. Is there any way to register a custom provider programmatically, in for example the Global.asax?

  I've done some searching, but can't seem to find a way to do this. We'd like to proactively monitor our permgen space via JMX. It seems the best way to do this is through the UsageThreshold attribute on the "PS Perm Gen" MemoryPool. By default, this is set to 0. Is there a way to specify this, or any JMX attribute, as a -D parameter to VM so this can be set automatically at startup? Or is there another mechanism to load JMX attributes automatically? Thanks.

  Hi there, In our compass mapping, we're boosting "better" documents to push them up in the list of search results. Something like this: <boost name="boostFactor" default="1.0"/> <property name="name"><meta-data>name</meta-data></property> While this works fine for fulltext search, it does not when doing a field search, e.g. the boost is ignored when searching something like name:Peter Is there any way to enable boosting for field searches?   In a setup project, on User Interface, I've created a RadioButtons (3 Buttons) dialog box. I've placed it before the Installation Folder Dialog. I wish to incorporate the value selected in the RadioButtons dialog as part of the Installation Folder. To do this I've placed the name of the variable amongst the path where I wish to use it in the DefaultLocation: [ProgramFilesFolder][Manufacturer]\[ProductName]\[BUTTON3] The effect of this is that the default value for the variable, BUTTON3 in the example above, is resolved as part of the folder, not the selected value. Anybody know how to make this variable use delayed expansion in some way to get the selected value?

  Hello, I am using the validator plugin of jQuery. By default the error label is added below my form. I want to add it above my form. So what I am doing is adding the code below in the validate(): errorPlacement: function (error, element) { error.insertBefore('form#emailForm'); } The problem is that the error label now is added a lot of times above the form, in every click.   I have a list of Accommodation objects bound to a Repeater, and then a nested Repeater which has the various attendee groups listed [e.g. Default, Seniors, Juniors]. This is all output fine, with the values displayed as LinkButtons, which when clicked gets sent to a code-behind event handler. Here is an example of the output to give you a picture [with some er... interesting attendee group names]: In the event handler, I test the object parameter to see which Repeater has been sent, as the outer repeater's links can also be clicked [so the Accommodation would be set, but no Attendee Group]. Is there a way to get a HiddenField from the outer RepeaterItem that contains the currently clicked inner repeater's LinkButton? E.g. From the image, I click the Attending link in the Women section. So the EventArgs via FindControl can get me the hidden field which contains the Attendee Group's ID, which is good, but I also need the Accommodation ID [to know whether it was either Wimbledon Hotel Inn or New Acc]

• OS X contains heapsort in stdlib.h which conflicts with heapsort in sort library

  I'm using Ariel Faigon's sort library, found here: http://www.yendor.com/programming/sort/ I was able to get all my code working on Linux, but unfortunately, when trying to compile with GCC on Mac, its default stdlib.h contains another heapsort, which unfortunately results in a conflicting types error. Here's the man page for Apple heapsort: http://developer.apple.com/library/mac/#documentation/Darwin/Reference/ManPages/man3/heapsort.3.html Commenting out the heapsort in the sort library header causes a whole heap of problems. (pardon the pun) I also briefly thought of commenting out my use of stdlib.h, but I use malloc and realloc, so that won't work at all. Any ideas?

• Django admin causes high load for one model...

  In my Django admin, when I try to view/edit objects from one particular model class the memory usage and CPU rockets up and I have to restart the server. I can view the list of objects fine, but the problem comes when I click on one of the objects. Other models are fine. Working with the object in code (i.e. creating and displaying) is ok, the problem only arises when I try to view an object with the admin interface. The class isn't even particularly exotic: class Comment(models.Model): user = models.ForeignKey(User) thing = models.ForeignKey(Thing) date = models.DateTimeField(auto_now_add=True) content = models.TextField(blank=True, null=True) approved = models.BooleanField(default=True) class Meta: ordering = ['-date'] Any ideas? I'm stumped. The only reason I could think of might be that the thing is quite a large object (a few kb), but as I understand it, it wouldn't get loaded until it was needed (correct?).

  Hello everyone, I am very new to the iPhone SDK. I need to know if in a tab bar application I need to make UIViewController classes. For example, when I make a new tab bar application there is a default FirstViewController class (.h, .m) already there. Now if I have code on the second tab, would I need to create a SecondViewController class? If not, how would I make a button on the 2nd tab, and make that button do something. I'm not really sure how to do it, because the FirstViewController works with the buttons and code, but if I make a SecondViewController, and I link everything my app crashes. If anyone could help it would be greatly appreciated. Kevin

  Hi I'm Romanian and I can't write Unicode in Free Pascal Compiler. I try to write ?,î,â,a,? and it doesn't work. I tried with dos windows changed fonts, tried chcp. I even made a batch file which would do chcp 65001 and start the app. By default when I tried to write these letter I got "?" but when I started it with the batch file it just didn't write anything. I tried AnsiString, UnicodeString, UTF8String and all didn't work. And I think the problem is in the compiler. Does anyone know a solution?

• How to launch a file protocol URL with an anchor from Java?

  From a Java program, I need to launch the default browser on a local HTML file, pointed to an anchor inside the file. In Java SE 6, the java.awt.Desktop.browse method will open the file, but will not honor the anchor, so something like the following opens the file at the top, but does not page the browser to the anchor: Desktop.getDesktop("file:///C:/foo/bar.html#anchor"); Sun says here http://bugs.sun.com/bugdatabase/view_bug.do?bug_id=6477862 that anchors are not supported in the file URI protocol. Does anyone have a better answer? I can use Java SE 6. I would be OK with a Windows only solution.

  So I have function that formats a date to coerce to given enum DateType{CURRENT, START, END} what would be the best way to handling return value with cases that use switch statement public static String format(Date date, DateType datetype) { ..validation checks switch(datetype){ case CURRENT:{ return getFormattedDate(date, "yyyy-MM-dd hh:mm:ss"); } ... default:throw new ("Something strange happend"); } } OR throw excpetion at the end public static String format(Date date, DateType datetype) { ..validation checks switch(datetype){ case CURRENT:{ return getFormattedDate(date, "yyyy-MM-dd hh:mm:ss"); } ... } //It will never reach here, just to make compiler happy throw new IllegalArgumentException("Something strange happend"); } OR return null public static String format(Date date, DateType datetype) { ..validation checks switch(datetype){ case CURRENT:{ return getFormattedDate(date, "yyyy-MM-dd hh:mm:ss"); } ... } return null; } What would be the best practice here ? Also all the enum values will be handled in the case statement
