    Recently I decided to use Avast Antivirus. I uninstalled clamav and installed Avast. Now whenever I use my terminal I get the following errors.: 5 upgraded, 0 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded. Need to get 0 B/1,250 kB of archives. After this operation, 5,120 B of additional disk space will be used.     Require urgent help!:( i m developing a game and i m dealing with around 20 images at the same time. As per my knowledge, i m allocating and deallocating the images at right places. Game runs for around 15 min fine but quits with an error message: "Program received signal: “0”. warning: check_safe_call: could not restore current frame" i also tried debugging with memory leak tools provided in Xcode but could not find any issue with memory management or any increase in memory size on simulator it works fine but not on the device. i m confused wht can be the issue.   • web.config, configSource, and "The 'xxx' element is not declared" warning.

    I have broken down the horribly unwieldy web.config file into individual files for some of the sections (e.g. connectionStrings, authentication, pages etc.) using the configSource attribute. This is working file, but the individual xml files that hold the section 'snippets' cause warnings in VS. For example, a file named roleManager.config is used for the role manager section, and looks like this: <roleManager enabled="false"> </rolemanager> However I get a blue squiggle under the roleManager element in VS, and the following warning: The 'roleManager' element is not declared I guess this is something to do with valid xml and schemas etc. Is there an easy way to fix this? Something I can add to the individual files? Thanks P.S. I have heard that it is bad practice to break the web.config file out like this. But don't really understand why - can anyone illuminate me?

  • Why does IE prompt a security warning when viewing an XML file?

    Opening an XML file in Internet explorer gives a security warning. IE has a nice collapsible tree view for viewing XML, but it's disabled by default and you get this scary error message about a potential security hole. http://www.leonmeijer.nl/archive/2008/04/27/106.aspx But why? How can simply viewing an XML file (not running any embedded macros in it or anything) possibly be a security hole? Sure, I get that running XSLT could potentially do some bad stuff, but we're not talking about executing anything. We're talking about viewing. Why can't IE simply display the XML file as text (plus with the collapsible tree viewer)? So why did they label this as a security hole? Can someone describe how simply viewing an XML document could be used as an attack document?

  • Why am I getting this warning about my app delegate and CLLocationManageDelegate?

    Observe this perfectly simple UIViewController subclass method: -(IBAction)launchSearch { OffersSearchController *search = [[OffersSearchController alloc] initWithNibName:@"OffersSearchView" bundle:nil]; EverWondrAppDelegate *del = [UIApplication sharedApplication].delegate; [del.navigationController pushViewController:search animated:YES]; [search release]; } On the line where I get *del, I am getting a compiler warning that reads, Type 'id <UIApplicationDelegate>' does not conform to the 'CLLocationManagerDelegate' protocol. In fact, my app delegate DOES conform to that protocol, AND what I'm doing here has nothing at all to do with that. So what's up with that message? Secondary question: sometimes I can get to my navigationController via self.navigationController, and sometimes I can't, and have to go to my app delegate's property to get it like I'm doing here. Any hint about why that is would be very useful.

    I'm running an HTTPService with the following request: <mx:request xmlns=""> <view>{myViewStack.selectedChild.name}</view> </mx:request> The idea being to pass which child is selected on the viewstack to the php page, and then get that back so I can run some logic based on which child of the viewstack was selected at the time. Everything seems to work, but I get the following warning: Data binding will not be able to detect assignments to "name". This doesn't seem to be causing any trouble, but I know warnings usually mean that I am not following the best practice. How can I fix this? I don't really need this item to be bound, because the name will never change at runtime, but I don't know how else to include it in the request.

    Whenever I SSH somewhere I get something like this in the logs: sshd[16734]: reverse mapping checking getaddrinfo for 1.2.3.4.crummyisp.net [1.2.3.4] failed - POSSIBLE BREAK-IN ATTEMPT! And it is right: if I do host 1.2.3.4 it returns 1.2.3.4.crummyisp.net, but if I do host 1.2.3.4.crummyisp.net it is not found. I have two questions: What security threat is there? How could anyone fake a one-way DNS in some threatening way? Do I have any recourse for fixing this? I'll send my ISP a bug report, but who knows where that'll go.

  • Need advice on a monitoring, reminder and warning application.

    I am a developer that also has to monitor several things on different servers. Such as: 1) Did all of the MS SQL databases backup last night? 2) Did all of the MySQL databases backup last night? 3) Were the database dumps actually copied to the right folder? 4) How much free space is left on each server's hard drives? 5) How big are folders "abc", "def", "etc" getting? 6) Send emails/alerts when thresholds are reached Etc. Just basically something to help me NOT forget such important things. I thought about writing something myself but didn't want to waste the effort if something is already out there. I would also prefer one application instead of many if I could. Thanks. EDIT Forgot to mention the operating system. These run on Windows Server 2003 and/or 2008. In fact, what would be cool is a program that supports multiple servers from one machine. Something that can log into those servers.

Windows then reminds me again -- either the next day or after reboot, or sometimes another 5 minutes later. Do you want to change the color scheme to improve performance? I'd love to never ever see it again, it's annoying, and it alt-tabs me out of fullscreen applications. If it matters, I'm running Windows 7 x64 Professional. I believe the dialog appears because I'm forcing Vsync and Triple Buffering for DirectX applications.

  • Motherboard warning lights when plugging in a display port cord to graphics card?

    Earlier today, my computer spontaneously shut itself off and refused to turn back on. I tested my PSU and it's operating fine. I unplugged everything and let it sit for a while and it started to make a high pitched coil whine/hiss. When I came back an hour later and plugged in only the power cord, it turned on without any issues. After some troubleshooting, I noticed my motherboard (Intel D975XBX2) has a red CPU led and VR led that come on whenever I plug my monitor into my graphics card via display port. DVI does not cause a similar issue. I was running three monitors off the card, so I need both DVI ports and the display port working. Is it likely my graphics card needs to be replaced, or should I be looking elsewhere to resolve this issue?

    I want to backport gcc-4.7 from raring to precise. So I ran backportpackage and uploaded gcc-4.7 to my PPA. However, when Launchpad tries to build it it complains about a missing dependency: Dependency wait on rhenium (virtual64) Missing build dependencies: libx32gcc1 Started on 2013-10-24 Finished on 2013-10-24 (took 2 minutes, 46.6 seconds) From looking at the package info for gcc-4.7 it seems that this should also be contained in the gcc-4.7 package that has been backported. What do I need to do to make Launchpad find this and build my package?

My aim: Get the user's first name & pic_square along with two other preferences. If these two preferences are not set then I'll set them, after doing some internal job. I understand that the REST API is old. Which interface should I use then? Saw FQL, which seem to be fine, but I see no corresponding getUserPreference/setUserPreference interface. Where is it? How do I combine it with the "first name & pic_square" info that I need in one query? How do I read the results of multi-query query? Also, if I understand correctly, the FQL is also executed with the fopen() function, and as we see here it might fail. That means something went wrong, and then I want to handle it. Any suggestions how to do so efficiently? Less important than the above question though. Thank you all.
