  • Ant Exec environment var

    I have a problem where I don't want to have to call a setEnv.sh file before i call my ant target that calls an exec task. Right now I have a way to save the environment variables in setenv.properties file in the key=value notation. The exec task for some reason does not see the variables that are set in the .properties file.... (I know i could use the tag but the setenv.properties is dynamically generated) setenv.properties: HELLO=XYZ part of my build.xml : <property file="setenv.properties"/> <target name="test" depends="setEnv"> <exec executable="/bin/ksh" newenvironment="false"> test.sh : echo ${HELLO} Any thoughts?

  • Retain Delimiters when Splitting String

If anyone comes here looking for the same thing to be answered... print_r(preg_split('/([\!|\?|\.|\!\?])/', $string, null, PREG_SPLIT_DELIM_CAPTURE)); Is there any way to split a string on a set of delimiters, and retain the position and character(s) of the delimiter after the split? For example, using delimiters of ! ? . !? turning this: $string = 'Hello. A question? How strange! Maybe even surreal!? Who knows.'; into this array('Hello', '.', 'A question', '?', 'How strange', '!', 'Maybe even surreal', '!?', 'Who knows', '.'); Currently I'm trying to use print_r(preg_split('/([\!|\?|\.|\!\?])/', $string)); to capture the delimiters as a subpattern, but I'm not having much luck.

I have some function taht is caller periodically: var func = function() { alert('Hello world!'); }; func.periodical(5000); This function is also called with click event: $('element').addEvent('click', function(){ func(); }); The timer starts and counts 2500msec, then I click $('element'), func() is executed and I want right now to reset the timer that func() will not be called in next 2500msec but in following 5000msec. How to do that ?

    I am testing my noscript tags which display content when javascript is disabled, this works in Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Camino, IE6, IE7, IE8, IE9, basically everything but Opera (I'm running version 11, not sure if its isolated to that version). In Opera 11 nothing is displayed... is the noscript tag not supported? and what is the alternative? If string literals are stored in read-only data segment and cannot be changed after initialisation, then what is the difference between the following two initialisations. char *string = "Hello world"; const char *string = "Hello world"; When we dynamically allocate memory for strings, I see the following allocation is capable enough to hold a string of arbitary length.Though this allocation work, I undersand/beleive that it is always good practice to allocate the actual size of actual string rather than the size of data type.Please guide on proper usage of dynamic allocation for strings. char *string = (char *)malloc(sizeof(char));

    Hi, i asked some time ago on an account i cant remember how to manipulate basic pointers and someone gave me a really good demo for example char *ptr = "hello" (hello = a char array) so now *ptr is pointing at h ptr++ = moves the ptr to point at the next element, to get its value i do *ptr and that gives me e ok so far i hope :D but now i need to manipulate a char **ptr and was wondering how I do this in a way that mimmicks the effects of a 2d array? some basic tips would be much appreciated as I need to do an assignment that has a **ptr to imitate a 2d array and without knowing how it does this first means I cant even solve it on paper (for example, how do you dereference a **ptr, how do you get [x][y] values etc) thanks

    hey... i'm doing my html and javascript class project and i want to have a msgbox welcoming the visitor asking for his name and then a welcoming msgbox shows up saying "hello (the name added)" i know how to do that but my only problem is that if i pressed back and went to the homepage of my website again, the msg will show up again asking for my name is there anyway to prevent this from happening? seriously don't want the visitor to wite his name each time he goes to the home page please help this is the code i'm using: <script> response = window.prompt("Welcome!","Please enter your name"); window.alert("hello " + response); </script> please help

  • Debug.Assert seems not to work in Mono

    Consider the following C# program: using System; using System.Diagnostics; namespace Test { class MainClass { public static void Main (string[] args) { Debug.Assert(false); Debug.Fail("fail!"); Console.WriteLine ("Hello World!"); } } } When compiling this using: dmcs -debug -d:DEBUG Main.cs and then running it with: mono --debug Main.exe the assertion and fail seem to be ignored. The output is just: Hello World! I checked other related questions on StackOverflow, but I could not find a solution. In particular the solution give in Mono - Debug.Assert does not work does not work. (UPDATE: the update solution does work, see below comments.) I use Mono 2.1.5-1 on Ubuntu 11.10.
