• jquery stop image slider when accordian menu is closed

  http://jsbin.com/emoba5/3/edit click here to view demo This accordion menu/image slider works well except - When the page loads and when all accordion menu items are closed I need it to show a single image on right. At the moment the page loads a blank picture area and when an accordion menu item is closed it just restarts that menu items picture slider. (So on page load and when all accordions are closed I need it default to an image on the right.) Some of the items only have 1 picture i.e. posture 3 you will notice when you click on it, it shows the image and then goes blank, can it just fade the image in and leave it there if there is only 1 image? • jquery checkbox help

  The Problem I am trying to run some ajax on one my pages for my website, basically I have three checkboxes all of which on pageload are unselected, when a checkbox is clicked I need to be able load in via ajax the relevant HTML. This system is currently a PHP script that depending on what the POST is set returns a different view, so I think all I need to is send the POST via AJAX, but I need to do everytime a new checkbox is checked. • jQuery drag drop slower for more DIV items

  Hi there, I have got a hierarchichal tags (with parent child relationship) in my page and it will account to 500 - 4500 (can even grow). When i bound the draggable and droppable for all i saw very bad performance in IE7 and IE6. The custom helper wont move smoothly and was very very slow. Based on some other post i have made the droppable been bound/unbound on mouseover and mouseout events (dynamically). Its better now. But still i dont see the custom helper move very smoothly there is a gap between the mouse cursor and the helper when they move and gets very bad when i access the site from remote. Please help me to address this performance issue. Am totally stuck here.. :(

  So I have a hover function that is supposed to move an arrow under the corrent the link that someone hovers over. The problem is, the arrow never returns to the current link when the person stops hovering over the link. However, if I set the left properly with a constant value it works.   Hi, I am using this plugin for my new site: http://colorpowered.com/colorbox/ The page in concern has two hyper links which are of the same class: a.emailQuote These both should open the same colorbox window which is done by the following code: $("a.emailQuote").colorbox({ transistion:"fade", title:true, iframe:true, scrolling:false, close:"Close this window", innerWidth:478, innerHeight:507, initialWidth:478, initialHeight:507 }); however when the colorbox window opens it seems to register that there are two windows so displays the previous, next arrows and the text that says this is image one of two. I was wondering if there was a way to fix this without hiding these elements with CSS.

If I load this again, the events fire twice (when put breakpoints in the code). What am I doing wrong? Is there a way I can clear the dom of these elements before they get loaded again?

• Downloading jQuery UI: Ok, so what part of this mess do I copy to the server?

  From the "should be simple, but..." files: Trying to get started with jQuery UI. Went to the site, used their custom builder thingy to assemble the parts I need, made myself a custom theme using the Theme Roller, downloaded the zip file thus produced, unzipped it on my local drive. Ok, so I have 37 folders, 311 files, and a total of 2.4 MB. Ain't no way in hell all this is going on the server. What parts do I need to put there? 'css' 'custom-theme': jquery-ui-1.8.custom.css, 'images' subfolder with 12 .png images 'development-bundle' 'demos': demos.css, index.html, plus 18 subfolders, but I'm guessing "not needed" 'docs': 17 .html files, but again, I'm guessing "not needed" 'external': 4 .js files, one .css 'themes': 'base' and 'custom-theme' subfolders, each with 8 or 9 .css files and an 'images' subfolder with about a dozen images 'ui': 25 .js files, an 'i18n' subfolder with 53 .js files, and a 'minified' subfolder with 24 .js files 'js': jquery-1.4.2.min.js and jquery-ui-1.8.custom.min.js Also, the file structure. Our server is set up something like this: root admin (administrative tools) css forms (the gist of the site lives here) images include (asp code snippets that are used by multiple pages) js (just a few things right now, like an ancient wheezing spelling checker) As far as I can tell, the jQuery css files assume that (1) each theme is in its own folder, and (2) each folder has its own images subfolder. How can I convince it otherwise? i.e. put the necessary .js files in the 'js' folder, the .css files in the 'css' folder, and the images in the 'images' folder?

  I'm hoping someone can help with this, I'm having a real difficult time getting jQueryUI's autocomplete to work with ajax in a asp.net app (not MVC). I can get it to make the ajax call but I'm not doing something right handling the response. Just for starters I'm trying to have autocomplete make an ajax call to 'GetSuggestions.aspx' which will return a hard coded string. I have it where it will make the call to GetSuggestions.aspx but I can't get it to return anything to the page. (My next step would be to have 'GetSuggestions.asxp' return a list of name/value pairs but I'll tackle that next). I'm using the example from here: http://jqueryui.com/demos/autocomplete/#remote with the exception of using 'source: "GetSuggestions.aspx" (instead of "search.php")

• JQuery animate div "like" a Zoom

  I can never get these to work - sorry - but I I am trying to animate on a mouse over then "re-animate" on a mouse out. I can never get $('#xyz').hover(function(){'something',function(){'somethingelse'}); to work. Hope you guys can help. What I am trying to do is animate + and - 20px (top and left) on some absolutely positioned divs and then add 40px to the width height returning to the original position/width/height on mouse out. I haven't even got to the css widths/heights yet .... • Rails 3.1 text_field form helper and jQuery datepicker date format

  I have a form field in my Rails view like this: <%= f.text_field :date, :class => "datepicker" %> A javascript function converts all input fields of that class to a jQueryUI datepicker. $(".datepicker").datepicker({ dateFormat : "dd MM yy", buttonImageOnly : true, buttonImage : "<%= asset_path('iconDatePicker.gif') %>", showOn : "both", changeMonth : true, changeYear : true, yearRange : "c-20:c+5" }) So far so good. I can edit the record and it persists the date correctly all the way to the DB. My problem is when I want to edit the record again. When the form is pre-populated from the record it displays in 'yyyy-mm-dd' format. The javascript only formats dates which are selected in the datepicker control. Is there any way I can format the date retrieved from the database? At which stage can I do this? Thanks, Dany.   I can't seem to figure out how to add additional functionality to the basic jquery autocomplete. • Can't see images used in slideshow or other jQuery plug-ins in Internet Explorer 8

  I am getting a weird error. I can see images in slideshow, lightbox, etc. in Firefox and Chrome but in Internet Explorer 8 there are no images. Something is wrong with JavaScript/jQuery I think. I am using jQuery 1.4.2, jquery.flow.1.2.min.js jquery.bgpos.js jquery.easing.1.3.js jquery.lightbox-0.5.min.js jquery.validate.js cufon-yui.js jquery.galleriffic.js DD_belatedPNG.js clearbox.js Please check this. I tried to search but couldn't find anything. Even if I remove jQuery, still there are no images in Internet Explorer 8.
