    I am trying to obtain an instance of my live wallpaper engine in another class, here is my code... In the other class: WallpaperEngine wpe = (WallpaperEngine) LiveWallpaperService.onCreateEngine(); In LiveWallpaperService: @Override public Engine onCreateEngine() { // TODO Auto-generated method stub return new WallpaperEngine(); } But when I refer to an object in my engine (i.e, "wpe.variable"), I get a NullPointerException and the wallpaper force closes.

  • cURL working on localhost but not on live website

    I have a small piece of script to grab images from a different website, works perfectly in localhost but does not work on on the live website. According to the phpinfo() on the site CURL is enabled. I can't post the script as its sensitive - But off the top of your head what things should I check for to solve this issue? Why would CURL work on localhost and other hosts, but not with others that also have CURL supposedly enabled?

  • Hyper-V virtual machine can't be migrated to a specific host in the cluster

    I have a three-node Hyper-V cluster running on Windows Server 2008 R2 which is working quite flawlessly: there are no errors, live migration works, all hosts can and will happily run all virtual machines, and so on. But one specific virtual machinee is trying to make me go mad: it works on two nodes of the cluster, but not on the third one. Whenever I try to move the VM to that node, be it in a live migration or with the VM powered off, it always fails. In the event log of the host these events are logged: Source: Hyper-V-VMMS Event ID: 16300 Cannot load a virtual machine configuration: General access denied error (0x80070005) (Virtual machine ID <GUID>) Source: Hyper-V-VMMS Evend ID: 20100 The Virtual Machine Management Service failed to register the configuration for the virtual machine '<GUID>' at 'C:\ClusterStorage\<PATH>\<VM>': General access denied error (0x80070005) Source: Hyper-V-High-Availability Event ID: 21102 'Virtual Machine Configuration <VM>' failed to register the virtual machine with the virtual machine management service. All other VMs can be moved to/from the offending host, and the offending VM can be moved between the other two hosts. Also, this is not a storage problem, because there are other VMs in the same cluster volume, and the host has no troubles running them. What's going on here?

    I have a really simple question but the answer may be a little more complex I guess. Okay. Let's go. I have an Application called Xsplit Broadcaster (http://www.xsplit.com/). It supports streaming video through RTMP. Now what I want to do is this: +--(720p)--> TwitchTV FirstChannel XSplit --(720p RTMP)-->[MyTranscodingServer]--+ +--(360p)--> TwitchTV SecondChannel Is there a simple way to do this? Additional info: Both channels accept standard RTMP stream on their RTMP endpoint using either username/password or streamkey. The server operating system is GNU/Linux

  • clock and date showing on a live site but not on localhost

    I've got clock.swf and date.swf working fine on a live site, now I am using the same code to set up a local develop environment. Everything is working well except the clock.swf and date.swf stopped working on localhost. Two same yellow errors "You need to update your Flash plugin. Click here if you want to continue." but of course my Flash player is up to date since the live site is working fine. I'll post the code below which I think has caused the error. I've been searching online for the last couple of hours but no luck, anyone has got into an issue like this before? What can be the possible cause? Any help is appreciated.     Working with Unity, I thought it would be a good idea to create some LiveTemplates to help out with creating configuration entries. For example, I want to create some typeAlias elements in a file called "unity.config": <typeAlias alias="QueryService" type="type,QueryAssembly"/> So, I created a live template: Shortcut: typeAlias Available "in all files" <typeAlias alias="$ALIAS$" type="$TYPE$,$ASSEMBLY$"/> the unity.config file is an XML file. I put the cursor in an empty spot and type "typeAlias" and then the tab key. Nothing happens. Any ideas?

  • Jquery droppable live disabling/enabling

    I have a some draggables in a list of droppables (1 draggable per droppable li). When I move a draggable from one droppable to another free droppable, I want to diable the receiving droppable, and enable the droppable it is leaving from. In firebug the droppable class gets removed – but the functionality of the droppable remains.   • Live Character Count For EditText Android

    Hello, I was wondering what the best way to do a live character count of an edit-text box is in Android. I was looking at this but I couldn't seem to make any sense of it. To describe the problem, I have an EditText and I'm trying to limit the characters to 150. I can do this with an input filter, however I want to show right below the text box the number of characters a user has entered(Almost like stack overflow is doing right now). If someone could write a small snippet of example code or point me in the right direction I'd appreciate it a lot. Thanks in advance.

    I'm trying to figure out where java Applets that I run from the browser live. I'm using Firefox 3.0 on Windows XP with Java 1.6 if that makes any difference. From the Java Control Panel on the toolbar, I can access "Temporary Internet Files - Settings" to find the Java cache. From there I can show the resources and see a file called "dws2010066.dat". Does this resource correspond to a file on disk? I did a search in the Java cache/my whole computer and came up empty handed.

    Is there an efficient, quick and simple example of doing differential b/w image compression? Or even better, some simple (but lossless) streaming technique which could accept a number of frames as input? I have a simple b/w image (320x200) stream, displaying something similar to a LED display, which is updated about once a second using AJAX. Images are pretty similar most of the time, so if I subtracted them, result would compress pretty well (even with simple RLE). Is something like this available?

    In an application that is using Zend Framework 1.10 and Doctrine 1.2, where should the DQL statements live if our application is built such that it has a Service Layer and a Gateway(aka Doctrine_Table) layer. It seems that our possibilities include: 1) Placing the DQL statements in the Service layer which seems to be a bit too high in our application hierarchy to store DQL. 2) Placing the DQL statements within each model's Table/Gateway which seems a bit redundant because we also need to expose the DQL statements that do things such as getAllUsers() through the Service layer. Which of these is a preferable design? We intend to make use of the Service layer as much as possible so that other projects might consume various parts of our application.

  • How to stream XML data using XOM?

    Say I want to output a huge set of search results, as XML, into a PrintWriter or an OutputStream, using XOM. The resulting XML would look like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <resultset> <result> [child elements and data] </result> ... ... [1000s of result elements more] </resultset> Because the resulting XML document could be big (tens or hundreds of megabytes, perhaps), I want to output it in a streaming fashion (instead of creating the whole Document in memory and then writing that). The granularity of outputting one <result> at a time is fine, so I want to generate one <result> after another, and write it into the stream. Assume there's already a method that helps with iterating the results and generating Element objects: public nu.xom.Element getNextResult(); So I'd simply like to do something like this pseudocode (automatic flushing enabled, so don't worry about that) : open stream/writer write declaration write start tag for <resultset> while more results: write next <result> element write end tag for <resultset> close stream/writer I've been looking at Serializer, but the necessary methods, writeStartTag(Element), writeEndTag(Element), write(DocType) are protected, not public! Is there no other way than to subclass Serializer to be able to use those methods, or to manually write the start and end tags directly into the stream as Strings, bypassing XOM altogether? (The latter wouldn't be too bad in this simple example, but in the general case it would get quite ugly.) Am I missing something or is XOM just not made for this? With dom4j I could do this easily using XMLWriter - it has constructors that take a Writer or OutputStream, and methods writeOpen(Element), writeClose(Element), writeDocType(DocumentType) etc. Compare to XOM's Serializer where the only public write method is the one that takes a whole Document. Please refrain from answering if you're not familiar with XOM! I specifically want to know if and how you can do this kind of streaming with that library. (This is related to my question about the best dom4j replacement where XOM is a strong contender.)

I would like to start coding on a test server then once everything is confirmed working, I want to send all the files over to the production server. How should I go about this? How did you turn on Live Editing? While following Greasemonkey tutorials, this feature is not working... Are you going to use the "works on my computer" excuse? Suppose a particular video is at max requested by 1000 users at the same instant of time, how many copies would be sufficient so that parallel streams can be provided to each user? Ideally 1 copy would solve the purpose, but what is the optimum number keeping the bandwidth and simultaneous access in mind?

  • Zend Framework ErrorController not working on live site?

    My site is set up pretty much as per the Zend Quickstart guide. The default ErrorController works locally using MAMP. But now I've deployed it to my live site I get a blank page and a "500 Internal Server Error" according to FireBug when I go to an action that doesnt exist. On my local server I get a 404 and a nicely formatted error page. Any ideas anyone? I dont really know where to begin looking. I'm confused :/ Thanks.

I understand timeToIdleSeconds But does it means that after the creation & first access of a cache item, the timeToLiveSeconds is not applicable anymore ?

    I want to broadcast Video from a web cam, over internet. The problem is, the Video will be viewed live by more than 20,000 people (expected). I have a very little experience with Red5 Broadcasting. I did some broadcasting using Red5 and Flash. It works fine for 1 or 2 viewers i.e. it is great for personal chatting/ video conferencing applications. But, when the number of viewers increases, the delay in Broadcasting also increases. I am experiencing a Delay addition of about 0.5 Seconds for every new user who joins the broadcast. Can any one suggest me some, better technologies on which I can work out this Live Broadcasting. I don't want to use http://www.ustream.com; I want to create one of my own, such tool. But thats always the last solution.

    Is it possible to protect flv files from download? I'd like to protect my files from download but I don't have the money for a streaming server which I think provides some sort of protection. The files are streamed via PHP and are located in an upload folder on my server. I've used PHP to ensure that only subscribers can view the video but I basically want to go a step further and prevent subscribers from, upon login, downloading my videos with downloaders such as Sothink Flv Downloader for Firefox.
