  • How can I make the output from tapply() into a data.frame

    - by James Thompson
    I have a data.frame in R that looks like this: score rms template aln_id description 1 -261.410 4.951 2f22A.pdb 2F22A_1 S_00001_0000002_0 2 -231.987 21.813 1wb9A.pdb 1WB9A_4 S_00002_0000002_0 3 -263.722 4.903 2f22A.pdb 2F22A_3 S_00003_0000002_0 4 -269.681 17.732 1wbbA.pdb 1WBBA_6 S_00004_0000002_0 5 -258.621 19.098 1rxqA.pdb 1RXQA_3 S_00005_0000002_0 6 -246.805 6.889 1rxqA.pdb 1RXQA_15 S_00006_0000002_0 7 -281.300 16.262 1wbdA.pdb 1WBDA_11 S_00007_0000002_0 8 -271.666 4.193 2f22A.pdb 2F22A_2 S_00008_0000002_0 9 -277.964 13.066 1wb9A.pdb 1WB9A_5 S_00009_0000002_0 10 -261.024 17.153 1yy9A.pdb 1YY9A_2 S_00001_0000003_0 I can calculate summary statistics on the data.frame like this: > tapply( d$score, d$template, mean ) 1rxqA.pdb 1wb9A.pdb 1wbbA.pdb 1wbdA.pdb 1yy9A.pdb 2f22A.pdb -252.7130 -254.9755 -269.6810 -281.3000 -261.0240 -265.5993 Is there an easy way that I coerce this output back into a data.frame? I'd like for it to have these two columns: d$template mean I love tapply, but right now I'm cutting and pasting the results from tapply into a text file and hacking it up a bit to get the summary statistics that I want with appropriate names. This feels very wrong, and I'd like to do something better!

  • Output Unicode to Console Using C++

    - by Jesse Foley
I'm still learning C++, so bear with me and my sloppy code. The compiler I use is Dev C++. I want to be able to output Unicode characters to the Console using cout. Whenver i try things like: # #include directive here (include iostream) using namespace std; int main() { cout << "Hello World!\n"; cout << "Blah blah blah some gibberish unicode: ÐAßGg\n"; system("PAUSE"); return 0; } It outputs strange characters to the console, like µA¦Gg. Why does it do that, and how can i get to to display ÐAßGg? Or is this not possible with Windows?

  • Where does output of print in kernel go?

    - by apoorv020
I am debugging a driver for linux (specifically ubuntu server 9.04), and there are several printf statements in the code. Where can I view the output of these statements? EDIT1: What i'm trying to do is write to kernel using the proc file-system. The print code is static int proc_fractel_config_write(struct file *file, const char *argbuf, unsigned long count, void *data) { printk(KERN_DEBUG "writing fractel config\n"); ... In kern.log when I see the following message when i try to overwrite the file /proc/net/madwifi/ath1/fractel_config (with varying time of course). [ 8671.924873] proc write [ 8671.924919] Any explainations?

  • CruiseControl.NET merge nunit and nant output

    - by JK
I've just started using ccnet so I'm having trouble understanding why the merging of nant and nunit outputs are not working. I've setup my ccnet.config with typical values as found on google: <merge> <files> <file>D:\ccnet\path1\nant-results.xml</file> <file>D:\ccnet\path2\TestResult.xml</file> </files> </merge> <xmllogger /> Nant and ccnet are half working: if I deliberately put in a code error, then ccnet will say build failed. The same happens if I deliberately put in a failing test, ccnet will say build failed. But the ViewBuildReport.aspx page does not show any of the output from nant or nunit. Obviously I must be missing something, but I don't know what, any ideas? Thanks, JK

  • Getting normal information from OpenGL render output

    - by okamiueru
I'll try to keep this simple. I want a way to access the normal information of the scene, from the Frame Buffer output (or similar). The same way one is able to access the Depth Buffer using glGetTexImage and GL_DEPTH_COMPONENT. I know I could set up a fragment shader which outputs the normal information in RGB color space, which could in turn be read from the rendered image. I'm wondering however if there is a way to do this within the openGL API. I'll clarify anything upon request as best as I can, Thank you

  • Inability to detect the Output from inside a SSIS script component

    - by Danaja
In the script of the script components the Output buffer is not being detected as an existing component. I am trying to use the following piece of code Output0Buffer.AddRow(); within the public override void Input0_ProcessInputRow(Input0Buffer Row) method. I know it should be available within this method because at the moment I am copying and using a component from a previous project that has this code and it works. but when I create a new component and put the same code in it doesn't Can any one explain why this is happening?

  • How can I output the fitted values?

    - by zenbomb
Sorry if this is a novice question, but I don't understand it. I am fitting a sigmoid curve to my data with glm(). This works, I can plot the output and I see a nice sigmoid curve. However, how do I get R to return the final values it has fit? As I understand it, R fits the data to logit(y) = b0 + b1x, but when I do > summary(glm.out) I only get Call: glm(formula = e$V2 ~ e$V1, family = binomial(logit), data = e) Deviance Residuals: 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 -0.00001 -0.06612 -0.15118 -0.34237 0.20874 0.08724 -0.19557 Coefficients: Estimate Std. • Regex for zeroing in on build output text error

    - by Mike Atlas
I'd like to quickly hone in on what failed in a build log output that is nearly 5k lines long, using Notepad++ as my editor for the file. Notepad++ has the nice ability to specify regular expressions, so I am wondering if there is a way to not match: Compile complete -- 0 errors, 0 warnings but to match, for example: Compile complete -- 1 errors, 0 warnings Compile complete -- 100 errors, 0 warnings where the match would be (1 or more) errors. If this isn't possible, I will probably just write a quick line-by-line parsing tool instead, but I was hoping someone on StackOverflow could whip out a regular expression in the same amount of time - I'm definitely not proficient enough with regular expressions to be able to write one for my needs in a short amount of time.

  • Output caching in HTTP Handler and SetValidUntilExpires

    - by mayor
I'm using output caching in my custom HTTP handler in the following way: public void ProcessRequest(HttpContext context) { TimeSpan freshness = new TimeSpan(0, 0, 0, 60); context.Response.Cache.SetExpires(DateTime.Now.Add(freshness)); context.Response.Cache.SetMaxAge(freshness); context.Response.Cache.SetCacheability(HttpCacheability.Public); context.Response.Cache.SetValidUntilExpires(true); ... } It works, but the problem is that refreshing the page with F5 leads to page regeneration (instead of cache usage) despite of the last codeline: context.Response.Cache.SetValidUntilExpires(true); Any suggestions?

  • Printing python tkinter output

    - by Eric
I am trying to print the contents of a python tkinter canvas. I have tried using the postscript method of canvas to create a postscript file, but I get a blank page. I know this is because I have embedded widgets, and these do not get rendered by the postscript method. Before I rewrite my program to create a more printer-friendly layout, can someone suggest a way to approach this problem? All of the programming books I have ever read approach the problem of sending output to a printer with a bit of hand-waving, something along the lines of: "It's a difficult problem that depends on interacting with the operating system." I also have a hard time finding resources about this because of all the pages related to printing to the screen. I am using Python 2.6, on Ubuntu 9.04.

  • Zend disableLayout() leaves html & body tags in output

    - by sunwukung
Hi all, could anyone take a look at this for me? Problem: trying to output a csv on demand using Zend Framework. I want to avoid creating files on the system so I'm trying to use the same solution posted here: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1136264/export-csv-in-zend-framework However - I'm still getting html and body tags in the csv. I'm setting layouts in the ini file. I've tried putting the csv call earlier in the request cycle using preDispatch etc - but to no avail. Any help is greatly appreciated SWK

  • C program giving incorrect output for simple math!

    - by DuffDuff
(all are declared as ints, none are initialized to anything beforehand. I have included math.h and am compiling with -lm) cachesize = atoi(argv[1]); blocksize = atoi(argv[3]); setnumber = (cachesize/blocksize); printf("setnumber: %d\n", setnumber); setbits = (log(setnumber))/(log(2)); printf("sbits: %d\n", setbits); when given cachesize as 1024 and blocksize as 16 the output is as follows: setnumber: 64 sbits: 5 but log(64)/log(2) = 6 ! It works correctly when given cachesize 512 and blocksize 32. I can't seem to win. I'm really hoping that it's a stupid mistake on my part, and I'd be grateful if anyone could point out what it is! Thank you! PS: I posted this in Yahoo Answers first but that was probably silly. Won't be doing that again.

  • Why is the output like this?

    - by javatechi
class another { public void method(Object o) { System.out.println("This is in method which takes object"); } public void method(String s) { System.out.println("This is method which takes string"); } } public class NewClass { public static void main(String args[]) { another an = new another(); an.method(null); } } When I try to execute this, I get This is method which takes string as the output. Why not "This is in method which takes object"? Object can also be null and string can also be null, why doesn't it invoke first method?

  • Output custom messages based on row value

    - by decimal
I've made a simple guestbook mysql/php page. An entry is displayed if the approve column has a value of 1. For the adminstrator, I want to display either "message approved" or "not approved". Here's my code: while ($row = mysql_fetch_array ($r)) { print "<p>Guest:" .$row['name']. "</p> <p>Date:" .$row['date']. "</p> <p>Comment:". $row['comment']. "</p>"; if ($row['approve'] = '1') { print '<p>YES, the message has been approved</p>'; } else { print '<p>NO, it hasn\'t been approved</p>'; } Whatever value the if statement checks approve is equal to, all approve values are output as that value.

  • Building ffmpeg with an executable output

    - by Kevin Galligan
I generally don't like to ask such "you figure it out for me" questions, but I suspect this one will be really simple for a C++ guru. I want to build ffmpeg for Android, and I'd like it to output an executable rather than a set of libraries. We've been using the guardian project's build: https://github.com/guardianproject/android-ffmpeg It does produce what we want, but I've found tweaking it for different architectures to be, at best, unpleasant. I've gotten this version to build: https://github.com/appunite/AndroidFFmpeg It does a nice job of slicing and dicing different architectures, but produces a jni version. There is a long story as to why I want the exe, but I'll skip it for now. Is there a flag that needs to be flipped? Some path or other setting? I am at this point fully baffled. Thanks in advance.

  • Serialising my JSON output problem in JQuery

    - by davykiash
Am trying to validate my form using an AJAX call $("#button").click(function() { $.ajax({ type: "POST", url: "<?php echo $this->baseUrl() ?>/expensetypes/async", data: 'fs=' + JSON.stringify($('#myform').serialize(true)), contentType: "application/json; charset=utf-8", dataType: "json" }); }); On my controller my code is as follows //Map the form from the client-side call $myFormData = Zend_Json::decode($this->getRequest()->getParam("fs") ,Zend_Json::TYPE_ARRAY); $form = new Form_Expensetypes(); $form->isValid($myFormData); However from firebug my output is as follows fs="id=&expense_types_code=AAA&expense_types_desc=CCCC&expense_types_linkemail=XXXX&expense_types_budgetamount=22222&expense_types_budgetperiod=22222" What I expect is something similar to fs{"expense_types_code":"AAA","expense_types_desc":"CCCC","expense_types_linkemail":"XXXX","expense_types_budgetamount":"22222"} How do I achieve this type of serialisation?

  • replace asp.net Response.Output with my own content

    - by WebDude
I am trying to intercept a asp.net web request and based on a lookup replace the page thats going to be rendered to the client. example: is a request for "/about-us" comes to my web server, i will first see if i have a version of this in the database, otherwise i will revert to flat files. The version i will retrieve from the database will be a .aspx page that has to be rendered and containt web controls and inline serverside script. What is the best way to go about this? I have tried overriding the CreateHtmlTextWriter method but this seems too late in the process as the TextWriter passed to this method is already instantiated. I have also tried to Implement my own PageHandlerFactory but this seems to create an instance of Page of which i cannot seem to override its internal setting of the Response.Output stream. Amd i barking up the wrong tree here? what is the best approach to take here?

  • C# Console Application Output to .csv file

    - by Zinn
I am trying to make a program that will show the numbers: 1, 10 +30 2, 40 (the scale goes up in this pattern by adding 20 to the last number added) 3, 90 +50 4, 160 5, 250 +70 So far I have this code: using System; using System.Collections.Generic; using System.Linq; using System.Text; using System.IO;// namespace Myloop { class Program { static void Main(string[] args) /// </summary> { StreamWriter myOutputStream = new StreamWriter("loopdata.csv"); int forloop; for (forloop = 1; forloop < 21; forloop++) Console.WriteLine(forloop); Console.ReadLine(); myOutputStream.Close(); } } } This is showing the first sequence of numbers 1 - 20, but could anyone give me any guidance how to do the other sequence next to it in the console application and how I can output these to a .csv file, as the information I have so far doesn't appear in the .csv file

  • Error comparing hash to hashed mysql password (output values are equal)

Im trying to compare a hashed password value in a mysql database with the hashed value of an inputted password from a login form. However, when I compare the two values it says they aren't equal. I removed the salt to simply, and then tested what the outputs were and got the same values $password1 = $_POST['password']; $hash = hash('sha256', $password1); ...connect to database, etc... $query = "SELECT * FROM users WHERE username = '$username1'"; $result = mysql_query($query); $userData = mysql_fetch_array($result); if($hash != $userData['password']) //incorrect password { echo $hash."|".$userData['password']; die(); } ...other code... • python equivalent of filter() getting two output lists

    - by FX
Let's say I have a list, and a filtering function. Using something like >>> filter(lambda x: x > 10, [1,4,12,7,42]) [12, 42] I can get the elements matching the criterion. Is there a function I could use that would output two lists, one of elements matching, one of the remaining elements? I could call the filter() function twice, but that's kinda ugly :) Edit: the order of elements should be conserved, and I may have identical elements multiple times.
