• Build failing - VS2010 solution on TFS2008

  I have migrated a VS2008 ASP.NET MVC solution to VS2010/MVC2/.NET 4.0 The solution builds locally and all unit tests pass. Our TFS server is still TFS2008 and I am having problems getting the CI build to pass. The projects all build successfully, the unit tests all run and pass but the Running Tests item fails. I followed this blog post on how to get the build working and I'm almost there. Combing the log file for failures I have found the following: Test Run Completed. • Creating a post-build step in Xcode 3.2

  I'm actually looking for a genuine "post build" phase - not the Run script stage. The reason for this is that I want to do some parsing of a target's build-state.dat which is where Xcode puts all of its build output. The problem is that this file isn't actually created until after the build has succeeded or failed, thus anything in the Run Script phase can't see it. Any clues? Thanks

  Does anyone have a sample post build event for Babel Obfuscator I can just copy and paste into my .net assembly release build configuration? The documentation for Babel is 54 pages long, and unfortunately doesn't come with any real world samples on how to use it with Visual Studio integration. Failing that , is there a free obfuscator out there that integrates well with VS 2008 post build, so that it will obfuscate the release DLL during each new build. I was using Eazfuscator which broke since they released version 2.8. Thank you

• iscsitarget suddenly broken after upgrade of the 12.04 Hardware Stack

  After an upgrade to the latest Hardware Stack using Ubuntu 12.04, my iscsi service is not longer operational. The error from the service is such: FATAL: Module iscsi_trgt not found. I have learned that I might need to reinstall the package iscsitarget-dkms. this package builds a driver or something during installation, from source. During this build process, it reports and error, and now has also broke my package manager.   I have php script on hosting, which receive big data with ajax/post. Just now, after some works on hosting, I see that script is broken. I checked with curl: file temp1: user_avatar=&user_baner=&user_sig=.... 237 chars total, and curl -H "X-Requested-With: XMLHttpRequest" -X POST --data @temp1 'http://host/mypage.php' works perfect. Looks like a problem with apache/php/php.ini or something like that. I check .htaccess php_value post_max_size 20M Which other parameters I should check? Confirm that the path in the declaration is correct, and that the file exists on disk. • HTTP Caching Server that supports POST

  I am hosting a REST service which is sending appropriate cache-control headers. I use Varnish as a caching server in front of my webserver. However, a limitation of varnish is that it doesn't support caching HTTP POST and HTTP PUT. Is there any alternate caching server that will be able to cache these requests? I understand that caching POST is a bit tricky because you cannot just cache based on the url as a key like for GET; it needs to actually inspect the request body. In case of multipart/form-data requests, there should probably be a limit on the size of the request body for it to be cached (so that big file uploads, etc won't be cached). Nevertheless I really want to be able to cache short HTTP POST, or at least the application/x-www-form-urlencoded ones.

• Removing BIOS Post Messages

  I am working on a project where a standard x86 desktop system will boot and run a single program until it is shut down. I would like to remove all the bios post messages so that it looks a little more "finished" and cleaner when it starts up. I was hoping that there might by a standard implementation/terms to know about so I can avoid having to dig through every manual to see if there are options, or get some advice on a standard set of tools I should be using. I was thinking about getting a board that has an image that covers up the post messages until you press a key and trying to customize it to all black, but it's not clear if this is a good direction. I started looking for OEM motherboards but my searches were filled with standard commercial stuff, or seemed to be way to big for my toy project. What is the best way to go about removing all the bios post messages and just having a blank screen or "loading" message until OS loads?

• Problems adding static library QT project

  I have problems adding a static library to my Qt project. I have two project one is my static library and the other one is a Qt GUI project. As I add all classes to my GUI project as c++ or header files everything works just fine but I want this to be in a separate library. When I select the option to add a library I check External library then I select the .a file I have build and the folder where my header files can be found because I am working on a Mac I select Mac as the target platform. Then I click continue and then done. macx: LIBS += -L$$PWD/../../MyLib/build-MyLib-Desktop_Qt_5_2_1_clang_64bit-Debug/ -lMyLib INCLUDEPATH += $$PWD/../../MyLib/build-MyLib-Desktop_Qt_5_2_1_clang_64bit-Debug/include DEPENDPATH += $$PWD/../../MyLib/build-MyLib-Desktop_Qt_5_2_1_clang_64bit-Debug/include macx: PRE_TARGETDEPS += $$PWD/../../MyLib/build-MyLib-Desktop_Qt_5_2_1_clang_64bit-Debug/libMyLib.a When I build my GUI project I get the following error: The process "/usr/bin/make" exited with code 2. • CRM 2011 Plugin for CREATE (post-operational): Why is the value of "baseamount" zero in post entity image and target?

  REFORMULATED QUESTION (Apr 24): I am using the CRM Developer Toolkit for VS2012 to create a CRM2011 plugin. The plugin is registered for the CREATE message of the "Invoice Product" entity. Pipeline-Stage is post-operational, execution is synchronous. I register for a post image that contains baseamount. However, the value of baseamountin the postImageEntity is zero. As far as I understood it, the post entity image is a snapshot of the entity in the database after the new invoice detail has been created. Thus it should contain all properties of the newly created invoice detail. I am getting a "postentityimages" property of the IPluginExecutionContext that contains an entity with the alias I registered ("postImage"). This "postImage" entity contains a key for "baseamount" but its value is 0. Can anybody help me understand why this is the case and what I can do about it? (I also noticed that the postImage does not contain all but only a subset of the entities I registered for.) • Wordpress - related posts by custom taxonomy problem

  Hello, I'm trying to display related posts based on a custum taxonomy. I found a query at wordpress.org that kind of works. However the original post gets duplicated in the results multiple times. (words is the name of the custom taxonomy I use) What seems to happen is that the single post gets duplicated according to what amount showpost is set. Any idea's what could cause this? • Problem with Email Notifications in VisualSVN Server

  Hey guys! I have a dedicated server running windows 2003 server and Visual SVN Server 2.0.8. I'm trying to configure it to send email notifications on commit. So I found this article on Visual SVN site. It says I have to edit the Post-commit hook and set it to the following: "%VISUALSVN_SERVER%\bin\VisualSVNServerHooks.exe" ^ commit-notification "%1" -r %2 ^ --from <from-email> --to <to-email> ^ --smtp-server <smtp-server> Of course I've replaced the variables there. The problem is when someone commits something, the svn client throws the following error: post-commit hook failed (exit code 1) with no output. The commit process runs with no problems, I mean it does commit the files. But it won't send any email notification. If I remove the post-commit hook, then I don't get the error (and of course I don't get any notification). Could you help me out with it? The error doesn't tell too much =S Thank you!

• I think my laptop just died

  I have a Dell 1330M that as of about 15 minutes ago will no longer POST. What happened was I was working, stepped away for a moment, and when I came back it was turned off. I thought that was odd, but turned it on and things seemed fine. About 1/2 hour later it crashed and restarted, but came up fine again. It did this once more. At this point I was starting to get worried, but I hadn't had any problems with the laptop before and every crash was after doing some work in a virtual machine that I don't often use, so I at put the blame there. It didn't feel like it was overheating anywhere and there's no ozone smell of overheated electronics. Then it crashed a final time and now when I turn it on all I see is a bright screen with a bunch of vertical lines (noise). I've tried removing the memory sticks one at a time, but I get the same result with either memory stick in either slot. With no memory at all it stops earlier in the POST process and the screen is completely blank (black, no backlight). As I type this, I hear a double beep from the system about once every 10 minutes. I'm pretty sure the hard drive is fine because it fails during post, before anything off the drive is needed. The power supply seems good because the screen is nice and bright. It's not the RAM because swapping that around made no difference. The leaves motherboard (which I doubt and can replace) and CPU (which just might be changable). Any ideas? Is there any hope for this laptop? I'm rather fond of it and I'd have a hard time replacing it with anything near as nice.

• Automatically update SVN repository on another server

  We have 2 Ubuntu web servers, one of which is our staging server (Staging) and the other is our live server (Live). Staging has our Subversion repository, as well as the latest version of our sites on it. Because the SVN server is running on Staging, I've added post-commit hook scripts so that the staging server automatically has the latest code. Easy. However, I'd like one of the repositories on Live to also stay updated. This is a repository of images, PDFs and suchlike. When a team member commits to this, I'd like it to automatically update on the live servers so it can be used in mailings, content managed pages etc. I'd add something to the post-commit to SSH across and update, but for security, we can only SSH from one server to another as user 'commandLine', whereas the 'www-data' user runs the post-commit. I'd rather not run a cron on Live to update every 5 minutes, but I can't see another way of doing it without altering all our user permissions. Any ideas?

  I want to write a page where user's can write a blog post and publish it to the blog. I've downloaded blog engine .NET and looked at the code and I like the way they do it, but it's completely an overkill of what I need. What I need is only a title, author, date, and the blog post it self. I don't even want users to post comments or anything like that. My approach is to save all those blog post information into an xml and then when a page loads it loops around those xml files to show the blog post. Is there a tutorial on how to do this online? Especially for doing blog posts.

• App.Config Ignored After Pre-Build Event

  I have a solution with several projects and several developers, each with their own environment (of course). To manage connection strings between each environment, I have created several app.config files for each environment: app.config.dev, app.config.qa, etc. The pre-build event simply copies the app.config.$(ConfigurationName) to app.config. This pre-build event is done for each project in the solution, and the config string is included in each (including the test project). When I use the pre-build events to manage the app.config files, the connection string cannot be found. I can get the tests to run fine by 2 methods: 1. Do not use the pre-build events to manage the app.config file selection, and do it myself or 2. If I check out app.config and make it writable, then the pre-build events work just fine. We are using Visual Studio 2008. I'm down to my last grey hair here, any ideas? Thanks in advance!
