  • Forcing Remote machine to serve RDP (or similar) session

    Due to a Dell/Nvidia design flaw in the Dell Inspiron 1420 series, my laptop no longer shows a display. I am looking for a solution to view it remotely. I have used it via RDP in the past (not for a year though) however for what ever reason I can no longer RDP, it could have been disabled some how. However, I'm on the same LAN, I can ping it, and know its login creditials. Is there a way I can hack into it remotely to force it to serve a RDP session or an alternative? Please bear in mind my only view I could have to its interface is via a remote session. Its running Windows 7 Pro

    What technique should we use to make the httpsession object not loaded heavily with data. Example : Request 1 ---- httpSession loaded with an arraylist of 50,000 different objects. session.setAttribute("data",arraylist); Request 2 ---- httpSession loaded with an arraylist of 40,000 different objects. session.setAttribute("data",arraylist); Assume the server is loaded heavily with multiple sessions and huge data in them. Let us say from my above example request1..1000 at a time. Which means 1000 session objects with huge data. What is the alternate way to solve instead storing them in session like this?

    Hi, I've implemented a mysql-based session interface in php. I just found out that if I log in to my account using browser A (e.g. Chrome), and then I log in to the same account in another browser B (e.g. IE), each browser is assigned 2 separate session ids. How can I make it such that when I log in again using browser B, I retain the active session of the previous browser A? The issue at hand is that I'm storing certain information in the session and the data not being synchronised between the same users in different browsers and is wrecking havoc. :S Is there a way to achieve this? Thanks!

  • Can't set up IIS Web Server on Server 2008 x64 correctly (what have I missed?)

    Using a VM I installed Windows 2008 Server x64 and as the image below shows, added the IIS Role full image and assigned all role features of IIS full image But if I have an ASP.NET (aspx) page that does (C#) Session["test-session"] = "A"; and read in other page I always get nothing! NOTE: I do have an entire ASP.NET web application, the example above is to be succinct and explicit on what is the problem I'm facing. Can anyone know what do I have to do to the Server, so I can use the Session variables? All help is greatly appreciated, Thank you

    Hi Everyone, i m developing an application in .NET mvc2. i m using aspnetMembershipProvider for User registration and related activities. i need some custom information about user that i stored in a separate table (sysUser for example) and linked it to aspnetUser table through foreign key. after Login i need to fetch user's credentials from sysUser table and push it to the session.     I have a telnet session to a dynamips router sim. When I try to paste the contents of an actually working ACL retrieved from 'show run' into the access list, only part of gets pasted. The session is something like: enable conf t ip access-list extended Internet <PASTE of Rules> It stops right in the middle of a line: permit tcp any host 123.123.123.123 gt 1 ! should be gt 1023 Anyone know what is happening? The source is an extended access list.

    hello I'm using openvpn and free-radius for control user accounts. for maximum session time for an user, free-radius has sqlcounter.conf that control that, but after a connection has disconnected that is useful and cannot destroy a connection. for control account time dynamically i need another script that do that. but should anytime that a connection has established a trigger run. is anyway to fire a custom trigger or script when a connection has established? or any way to control session time dynamically?

    Iam trying to build an Facebook Application based on PHP. The Application is running under php on my own Webhost inside an Canvas as iFrame. I have included the newest Client Library for PHP from Facebook: facebook-php-sdk-94fcb13 To Authorize the user inside my application iam trying to use Facebook Connect, like the example shipped with the Client. Everything works fine the 1st Login, but when i hit the F5 Key to reload the page, the session is lost and i have to login again. When i call my application outside of the Facebook Canvas everything is fine. Iam not sure, but i think my Browser (Chrome/FireFox - Ubuntu) is not allowing to store an cookie inside an iFrame. Does someone knows an solution for this Problem?   • Synchronizing Access to a member of the ASP.NET session

    I'm building a Javascript application and eash user has an individual UserSession. The application makes a bunch of Ajax calls. Each Ajax call needs access to a single UserSession object for the user. Each Ajax call needs a UserSession object. Data in the UserSession object is unique to each user. Originally, during each Ajax call I would create a new UserSession object and it's data members were stored in the ASP.NET Session. However, I found that the UserSession object was being instantiated a lot. To minimize the construction of the UserSession object, I wrapped it in a Singleton pattern and sychronized access to it. I believe that the synchronization is happening application wide, however I only need it to happen per user. I saw a post here that says the ASP.NET cache is synchronized, however the time between creating the object and inserting it into the cache another Thread could start construction it's another object and insert it into the cache. Here is the way I'm currently synchronizing access to the object.     Hello All, I am working with some legacy code, and at some point there is a key in the session that is something like session.setAttribute("com.org.something.Object",someObject); Now trying to access this in a jsp using jstl is a bit difficult becuase if I tried it like I normally would I would do: ${sessionScope.com.org.something.Object.someFieldGetter} As most of us can imagine it will fail because there is no com object in session scope. I also tried ${sessionScope.'com.org.something.Object'.someFieldGetter} And a parsing error was thrown. Does anyone know how to resolve this so that I can correctly get the object similar to session.getAttribute("com.org.something.Object") but through jstl? thank you.

  • Sessionstate not being saved between pages

    Hi, i am having problems with an asp.net c# site whereby i am setting a session state object to true and then redirecting to another page that needs to check the value of the session state object and it is null. Sometimes it is set correctly and other times is is simply null. When i debug on my local machine it works perfectly every time. Only when i upload to my web server does this temperamental behaviour happen. As it is based around the security of the site it is obviously important that the session data be valid and accurate every time. Is session state data unreliable? AFAIK its set to inproc, cookieless, 30 min timeout, vanilla installation of IIS. Does anyone have any suggestions? Perhaps i need to thread.sleep inbetween the storing of the session data and the reading? NB: the time between the write and the read is about 70ms.. ample time for the data to be written to RAM.....

    I'm hitting a wall here while trying to access items from Magento on an external page (same server, same domain, etc, etc). I want to see if the user is logged into Magento before showing them certain parts on the site. Keep in mind that this code exists outside of Magento. What am I doing wrong here? Is there an option in Magento that I need to turn on or off to be able to access this information outside of Magento?

    Due to target audience I am using .net cookieless sessions in auto-detect mode and time to time I get visitors redirected with cookiless session url like domain.com/(S(jdhdghdghd))/default.aspx Problem is, if I call this url after session expired .net will re-create it. What I want to find out is a way to force .net to create another session id instead of using the one that came with url. Is it possible?
