    I have following code: public static void ProcessStep(Action action) { //do something here if (Attribute.IsDefined(action.Method, typeof(LogAttribute))) { //do something here [1] } action(); //do something here } For easy use I have some similar methods using method above. For example: public static void ProcessStep(Action<bool> action) { ProcessStep(() => action(true)); //this is only example, don't bother about hardcoded true } But when I use the second method (the one above), even if original action had attribute, code [1] will not be executed. How can I find if method is only wrapper and underlying method contains attribute and how to access this attribute?

    Is there a more elegant way than the below to find the nearest day of the week for a given date using JodaTime? I initially thought setCopy() would be it, but this sets the day to the particular day in the same week. Thus, if ld is 2011-11-27 and day is "Monday" the following function returns 2011-11-21, and not 2011-11-28 as I want. // Note that "day" can be _any_ day of the week, not just weekdays. LocalDate getNearestDayOfWeek(LocalDate ld, String day) { return ld.dayOfWeek().setCopy(day); } Below is a work-around I came up with that works for the particular constraints in my current situation, but I'd love to get help find a completely generic solution that works always.   • Why is my form triggering the wrong controller action?

    This form has multiple submit buttons, when clicked, it calls a simple JavaScript function to change the value of a hidden input (function is called "setHidden". This worked before, after some other not relevant code, it has ceased working. Essentially, the action it is supposed to call is never called, instead it seems to default back to a previous URL.   • How do I get certain code to execute before every single controller action in ASP.NET MVC 2?

    I want to check some things about the state of the session, the user agent, etc, and possibly take action and return a special view BEFORE a controller method gets a chance to execute. For example: Most common: User requests Home/Index System checks to make sure x != 0. x does not equal zero, so the Home/Index controller executes like normal. But, sometimes: User requests Home/Index System checks to make sure x != 0. x DOES equal zero. The user must be notified and the requested controller action cannot be allowed to execute. I think this involves the use of ActionFilters. But I have read about them and I don't understand if I can preempt the controller method and return a view before it executes. I am sure I could execute code before the controller method runs, but how do I keep it from running in some instances and return a custom view, or direct to a different controller method?

  • Avast not taking any action when opening a virus.

    I just did a test with the EICAR test virus. I downloaded the file eicar.com Avast was on. If i scan the file it finds it. However if i open it no action is taken. Just nothing. nothing happens i can open it as many times as i want. This is very worrying. The new avast is starting to be a pain. I miss the old one.

Many Applications seem to do this but other than for care of overwriting Users' existing data I guess it has no real significance. I'm having a purge on my installer packaging and I'd like to know if there any good reasons for specific date/time handling.

  • Create a named cell dynamically

    I have a workbook with 3 worksheets. 1 worksheet will have input values (not created at the moment and not needed for this question), 1 worksheet with several "template" or "source" tables, and the last worksheet has 4 formatted "target" tables (empty or not doesn't matter). Each template table has 3 columns, 1 column identifying what the values are for in the second 2 columns. The value columns have formulas in them and each cell is Named. The formulas use the cell Names rather than cell address (e.g. MyData1 instead of C2). I am trying to copy the templates into the target tables while also either copying the cell Names from the source into the targets or create the Names in the target tables based on the source cell Names. My code below I am creating the target names by using a "base" in the Name that will be changed depending on which target table it gets copied to. my sample tables have "Num0_" for a base in all the cell names (e.g. Num0_MyData1, Num0_SomeOtherData2, etc). Once the copy has completed the code will then name the cells by looking at the target Names (and address), replacing the base of the name with a new base, just adding a number of which target table it goes to, and replacing the sheet name in the address. Here's where I need help. The way I am changing that address will only work if my template and target are using the same cell addresses of their perspective sheets. Which they are not. (e.g. Template1 table has value cells, each named, of B2 thru C10, and my target table for the copy may be F52 thur G60). Bottom line I need to figure out how to copy those names over with the templates or name the cells dynamically by doing something like a replace where I am incrementing the address value based on my target table #...remember I have 4 target tables which are static, I will only copy to those areas. I am a newbie to vba so any suggestions or help is appreciated. NOTE: The copying of the table works as I want. It even names the cells (if the Template and Target Table have the same local worksheet cell address (e.g. C2) 'Declare Module level variables 'Variables for target tables are defined in sub's for each target table.     I need to implements splash screen in my honeycomb app. I use this code in activity's onCreate to show splash: setContentView(R.layout.splash); getActionBar().hide(); and this code to show main UI after some time: setContentView(R.layout.main); getActionBar().show(); But before onCreate is called and splash appears, there is small amount of time when action bar shown. How can I made it not to show? I tried to apply theme to activity without action bar: <item name="android:windowActionBar">false</item> but in that case getActionBar() always returns null and I found no way to show it again.

    I am trying to integrate my custom user system with Wordpress, and I have recently asked a question on how to redirect requests to wp-login.php to my own login/registration page, but as I was working on the pluggable functions, I realized that requests to wp-login.php can either be for login, registration, or log out. This is set in the action argument that's made in the request. What I am trying to figure out is how to get this action argument, so I can redirect the request to my custom pages.
