  • Accessing initialized variable on different class C++

    - by d0pe
I'm having some difficulties with this problem. The main idea is, I initialized a variable of class type B in class A, class A.h has the variable Z declared as public, like B *Z; In class A.cpp, I initialized it as Z = new B(); Now, I want to access that variable from class C and I'm unable to do so. C.h includes A.h and B.h

  • How do I remove database name from SQL Server generated script?

    - by bucha
Anytime I use 'script table as' - 'Insert To' (or other command), the script generated automatically places the database name in the script. Such as: INSERT INTO [DatabaseName].[dbo].[tblToBeInserted] ... While not a huge problem to just delete it, it has slipped by a few times and the script breaks if run on a different server with a different database name but has the same schema. (Such as running on [DatabaseName.Test]) Is there an option I can change, or can I modify the output in any way to remove this?

  • How do I create if statements in php to perform a specific action depending on what form has string in it

    - by user1637284
Im trying to create a grid on my page in each cell there will be a simple one line form. If a person enters data into lets say FieldA I would like the php to perform actionA but if the data was entered in FieldF I would like actionF performed. Is this possible without having to create a php for each cell and upload all those php files? Or is there a way to perform the GET method in each form to append the data to the end of the action url without the field name showing (ie sample.com/somestuff/fieldA instead of sample.com/somestuff/fieldname=fieldA) thus not needing php at all?

  • Variable text in links with knockout

    - by Gepser
I'm generating a list of links and they have not the same text but I don't know how to put a text with knockout. This is what I have: <a data-bind="attr: { href: 'Controller/Method/' + Id, 'Title': CurrentTask }"> <!-- I need the name of the CurrentTask here--> CurrentTask </a> So, the text I want to show appears only in the "alt" property but not in the text of the link. It works but I need that the name of the CurrentTask be the link and now it's just showing me everything like this: <a href...>CurrentTask</a> <a href...>CurrentTask</a> <a href...>CurrentTask</a> <a href...>CurrentTask</a> and I need this <a href...>I get this data from de controller</a> <a href...>Sometext</a> <a href...>OtherText</a> <a href...>Anything</a>

  • create variable from array actionscript 3

    - by steve
I'm currently trying to make a dynamic menu via an array and a loop. So when someone clicks on the first item of the array, "menu_bag_mc" it will link to the content "menu_bag_mc_frame" (or some name that will be unique to this array) that is another movieclip that will load. Below is the code I have so far: //right here, i need to make a variable that I can put in the "addchild" so that //for every one of the list items clicked, it adds a movieclip child with //the same name (such as menu_bag_mc from above) with "_frame" appended. //I tried the next line out, but it doesn't really work. var framevar:MovieClip = menuList[i] += "_frame"; function createContent(event:MouseEvent):void { if(MovieClip(root).currentFrame == 850) { while(MovieClip(root).numChildren > 1) { MovieClip(root).removeChild(MovieClip(root).getChildAt(MovieClip(root).numChildren - 1)); } //Here is where the variable would go, to add a child directly related //to whichever array item was clicked (here, "framevar") MovieClip(root).addChild (framevar); MovieClip(root).addChild (closeBtn); } else { MovieClip(root).addChild (framevar); MovieClip(root).addChild (closeBtn); MovieClip(root).gotoAndPlay(806); } } Is there a way to make a unique variable (whatever it is) from the array so that I can name a movieclip after it so it will load the new movieclip? Thanks

  • Where is the best place to store globals in Rails app?

    - by Nick Gorbikoff
Hello. I was wondering if there is the best practice on where to store global settings in a rails app. What I mean by that is i.e: I have a few globals defined that may change, but not likely and it seems inappropriate to store them in DB since they are used so much. For instance I have SYSTEM_EMAIL & SYSTEM_EMAIL_SIGNATURE & SYSTEM_STORAGE_ROOT. Right now I keep them in environment.rb, but I'm not sure if this is the right palce to store them. Thank you

  • Putting a variable inside a string (python)

    - by Gish
Hi I am quite new to python and this is probably quite a basic question but the help would be much appreciated. I would like to put an int within a string. This is what I am doing at the moment.. end = smooth(data,window_len=40) plot.plot(time[0:len(end)],end) plot.savefig('hanning(40).pdf') #problem line I have to run the program for several different numbers instead of the two 40's. So I'd like to do a loop but inserting the variable like this doesn't work: plot.savefig('hanning',num,'.pdf') Thanks!

  • SQLAuthority News – Milestone of 1300th Post and A Few Updates

    - by pinaldave
Today is my 1300th blog post and I realize that my blog has been quite running such a long journey. I have been writing for a lengthy time on this tech blog. Today I would like to go back and briefly recall the posts that were part of my blog’s history. Read all list of all my blog posts here. This blog only started as a list of personal bookmarks. I used to just write down scripts on the blog for my personal use. I was the one who wrote many scripts here for the servers that I was maintaining to keep them polished. I have included many links in my first blog posts which I view as just a collection of bookmarks on my very own blog; no intentions of publishing other contents besides the scripts, at all. Gradually, I realized that people read my blog and follow the advices which were supposedly meant only for me. I tried to write a code and a script which are generic in nature, so anyone can just use it right away. Nothing is perfect. When I was writing the last 1299 posts (and having 14 Million+ views), I have made a few mistakes and tweaks that I thoughtfully accepted. These are corrections that were pointed out by many kind souls and readers like you, which have helped me develop wonderful blogging experiences. I am very glad that I have this blog wherein I can express myself. After all, I would have not reached where I am today if I have kept myself worried in terms of expressing my knowledge and understanding SQL Server. I am happy that many of you appreciated my efforts and supported me all the way, which also helped me achieve where I am now. I promise to learn more about this fascinating subject and, of course, continue to share whatever I will learn to my dear readers. Again, I really thank YOU for reading this blog and supporting the SQL community. • Hello it’s your server calling

    - by GrumpyOldDBA
This is nothing exciting but I've always found this startup procedure  very useful. All this simple procedure does is send you an email if the SQL Service Starts. If your Server is a cluster it will tell you which node you're on. -- On it's own this procedure can't actually be used as I route the output through another procedure, dbasp_SendMessage, this procedure routes a passed message to either a smtp email or a log table or both, the destination is set in a server config table...(read more)
