    On IE I'm having a bit of trouble with my CSS: body.transparent { background-color: transparent; color:#ffffff; text-shadow: 0 -1px #000, 1px 0 #000, 0 1px #000, -1px 0 #000; Filter:Glow(Color=#000000, Strength=1); } body.transparent a { text-shadow: none; filter: -;) } The glow filter needs to be excluded on body.transparent a, like the shadow is. But I just can't disable the filter for the the links. How do I do this??

    I have this code in my gwt client side: String out = result.getConsoleOutput().replaceAll("\n", "<br/>"); transOut.getElement().setInnerText(out); Basically what comes out of consoleoutput() is text from a telnet client and transOut is a HTMLPanel in a UiBinder. I want it to show up pretty so I tried to change all the \n to html , but when it shows up in firefox it looks like this on screen blah blahblah blah.... I am guessing gwt escapes the text somewhere how can I get it to write the real tag.

    I'm writing some application in javascript and cannot figure it out how to access the variables declared in my function, inside this jquery parse. Inside I can access global variables, but I don't really want to create global vars for these values. Basically I want to extract file names from an xml document in the simulationFiles variable. I check if the node attribute is equal with the simName and extract the two strings inside the xml elements, that part I think it's working.     I'm looking for a library that would allow me to synchronize text in real-time between multiple users (ala Google Docs). I've stumbled upon Operational Transformation, which seems to fit my needs. Having said that, I understand the gist of OT, but not the math nor implementation of OT. Thus, I was wondering if there was a drag'n'drop Javascript library that would hook into a text area, generate the transforms, then allow me to apply those transformations onto another client? (I've gotten the Etherpad source, but I can't make head or tails out of it. If anyone could point out how to leverage on Etherpad's OT implementation, that'll be great too!)

I have several AJAX calls throughout the page to dynamically load form fields on the fly: <cfselect id="this" name="this" bind="cfc:Data.getThis()" bindonload="true" /> <cfselect id="that" name="that" bind="cfc:Data.getThat({p1})" /> <cfselect id="theOther" name="theOther" bind="cfc:Data.getTheOther({p1}, {p2})" /> <cfdiv id="maxQty" bind="cfc:Data.getMaxQty({itemId})" /> <cfinput type="text" id="qty" name="qty" /> <cfdiv id="itemId" bind="cfc:Data.getItemId({this}, {that}, {theOther})" /> In the above CFFORM, I basically want to set the minValue of the range to "1" and the maxValue of the range to the value of cfc:Data.getMaxQty({itemId}).     In order to prevent command windows from popping up during installation I am using the WIX built-in custom action CAQuietExec. First I define the command line: <CustomAction Id="A01" Property="QtExecCmdLine" Value="&quot;MyExe.exe&quot; /password [PASSWORD]" /> NB: The PASSWORD property is defined as Hidden. This prevents the Windows installer from writing the property value to the log. Then I call into the embedded WIX extension: <CustomAction Id="A02" BinaryKey="WixCA" DllEntry="CAQuietExec" Execute="immediate" Return="ignore" /> This works fine. However, when I go to the temp folder and open up the MSI log I see the following entry: CAQuietExec: "C:\Program Files\MyExe.exe" /password INCLEARTEXT I.e. the password is displayed in clear text and not hidden. How do I prevent the CAQuietExec from logging the password in clear text?

    Hello. My C# (.NET 2.0) application has a StringBuilder variable with a capacity of 2.5MB. Obviously, I do not want to copy such a large buffer to a larger buffer space every time it fills. By that point, there is so much data in the buffer anyways, removing the older data is a viable option.   • How do I send a file as an email attachment using Linux command line?

    I've created a script that runs every night on my Linux server that uses mysqldump to back up each of my MySQL databases to .sql files and packages them together as a compressed .tar file. The next step I want to accomplish is to send that tar file through email to a remote email server for safekeeping. I've been able to send the raw script in the body an email by piping the backup text file to mailx like so: $ cat mysqldbbackup.sql | mailx [email protected] cat echoes the backup file's text which is piped into the mailx program with the recipient's email address passed as an argument. While this accomplishes what I need, I think it could be one step better, Is there any way, using shell scripts or otherwise, to send the compressed .tar file to an outgoing email message as an attachment? This would beat having to deal with very long email messages which contain header data and often have word-wrapping issues etc.

    Hi, I cannot for the life of me figure this out, maybe someone can help. Using MODX a form takes user criteria to create a filter and return a list of documents. The form is one text field and a few checkboxes. If both text field and checkbox data is posted, the function works fine; if just the checkbox data is posted the function works fine; but if just the text field data is posted, modx gives me the following error: Error: implode() [function.implode]: Invalid arguments passed. I've tested this outside of modx with flat files and it all works fine leading me to assume a bug exists within modx. But I'm not convinced. The text file is correctly located in the same folder with the dll, exe, and config file after the project is installed (C:\Program Files\KLTesting\KLTestApp). However when the program tries to read it, it looks under "C:\Windows\system32", what's the correct way to find & read it?     Hey, I have a table where the first td in the trs contains a link. I want this anchor to be triggered (clicked) no matter where i click in the containing tr. I have read and tried alot of recents post and suggentions on this topic but i can't get this to work. I tried the trigger() and triggerHandle() functions, but it does not trigger the anchor click that i want. There must be others who have had the need to trigger a anchor click when a tr is clicked, so that the user doesn't have to click the tds anchor link. It sure is a nice UI feature if its possible?
