• How to enable indexing of pages with dynamic data?

  I have a site that has certain urls that point to pages with permanent data and others that point to dynamic web pages. Google indexes both these regularly. By the time a user finds one of the dynamic content urls, the data on the page has already changed and the user does not find what he was looking for. Further, the dynamic url pages contains links to the permanent urls (which I want Google or any crawler to index). Google crawler controls (webmaster tools) cannot be made to read urls from a page but not index them. Solutions? crawling strategies *system architecture*.

  I'm looking for a way to work with an API which requires login, and then redirects to another URL. I am looking for an expression to turn that file into something like this... Then I need to capture each URL and put them on their own line with the leading capture. I am working with sed to do this and I cannot figure out how to make it work correctly. Any ideas?

  My app offers the user the opportunity to put an event in his native calendar. For that, I refer to an online webcal:// URL. Since the underlying .ics file is quite big (containing quite a few events), it sometimes (also depending on the network performance)takes a while before the "Do you want to subscribe"-dialog sequence kicks in. I would like to give the user some feedback in the mean time, like a spinner, or a changing graphic, for him to know that something is going to happen. Question: how does my app know, that the "Do you want to subscribe"-dialog has been shown, and that the user has chosen either a Cancel of OK button in that dialog, so I can stop the spinner?

  I'm having trouble getting a response back from a Jquery ajax call... (It's a script to authenticate a user, and needs to return their name and user ID. My understanding was that I could encode it as JSON and get the data in the format below. It is returning an error of "undefined" for the alert().   I have a bookmarklet, clicking the bookmarklet includes a PHP script (evaluated as a JavaScript file) to the page few table values and select values passed as GET parameters. The PHP script writes the page data to the MySQL database, and outputs a success message that is treated as JavaScript code and executed by the browser. Is there any possibility to do this using greasemonkey and call this function when a existing button is clicked on the web page. • Can't read output of httpservice

''; echo $output; Problem is when I try to read worked, it tells me the variable worked is not there event.result.worked myhttp.lastResult.worked The only thing that works is using toString() myhttp.lastResult.toString() or event.result.toString() What am I doing wrong? I plan to add other variables to the output time, so need to access each time and worked separately. I may also need to return multiple responses each with their own worked and time values. • Page load fires twice on Firefox - PLEASE HELP !

  OK 1ST SOME BACKGROUND - I have a page showing the number of hits(or views) of any selected item. The hit counter procedure that is called at every page load i.e if (Request.QueryString.HasKeys()) { // get item id from icoming url e.g details.aspx?itemid=26 string itemid = Request.Params["itemid"]; if (!Page.IsPostBack) { countHit(itemid); } } THE PROBLEM - My expectation was that the counter would be increased by 1 on every page load but the counters on my datalist and formview are always behind and stepped by 2 i.e instead of 1, 2, 3, 4 its - 0, 2 , 4, 6 It seems that the page load is firing twice. Later I discovered that this only happens when you are using Mozilla Firefox. The page behaves fine with other browsers like IE This becoming quite frustrating. CAN ANY1 HELP :-(

• Observing 'click' event on <a> tag generated by scriptaculous Builder

  I'm using scriptaculous Builder to generate some DOM elements dynamically, and one of them is a link tag. I wasn't sure how to generate this with the click callback inline along with the rest of the Builder code, so I'm generating the link tag ahead of time and then inserting it with the rest of the Builder phase. The problem is that the callback for the link is never actually executed when I click the link, and the URL bar changes to http://localhost/foo/bar/# instead.   Need some help figuring out how to best Store Passwords, User information/Profile data and Photo/Video albums for a social website? For photos/videos the actual photo/video + even encrypting the URL with the IDs to the photo/videos so other users cannot figure it out. Creating a site like myspace and designing retirement documents but i am unsure how to specify the security requirements for the database. Two things: 1) Protect from outside users 2) Protect all these from employees being able to access this info For #2, the additional question is: If we encrypt the user info and password so even the system admins cannot get in, how can we retrieve the user data tomorrow if someone flags the user's account as spam and admin needs to check it out or if law enforcement wants info on a user? I tried to move the content of the $(document).ready inside the OnloadFunction (), and call it with <script>OnloadFunction ();</script> inside the block dealing with the modifications to do : $action= $_GET['action']; if ($action == "modify") { // Code here } but it doesn't work... I can't figure out how to do that. Could anyone help ?
