Something like this: doc1: 1,0.45 6,0.001 94,0.1 ... doc2: 3,0.5 98,0.2 ... ... each position of the vector represent a word, and the score is given by something like TF-IDF.   I have simple code from Ping.fm Ruby Client/Library require 'pingfm' pingfm = Pingfm::Client.new('api_key', 'user_app_key') but it gives me uninitialized constant Pingfm (NameError) pingfm gem is installed, just there was this error message Could not find main page README during installation.   is there any faster way to parse a text than by walk each byte of the text? I wonder if there is any special CPU (x86/x64) instruction for string operation that is used by string library, that somehow used to optimize the parsing routine. for example instruction like finding a token in a string that could be run by hardware instead of looping each byte until a token is found.

• Accurate Sleep for Java on Windows

  Does anyone know a Library which provides a Thread.sleep() for Java which has an error not higher than 1-2 Millisecond? I tried a mixture of Sleep, error measurement and BusyWait but I don't get this reliable on different windows machines. It can be a native implementation if the implementation is available for Linux and MacOS too. • Do null SQLite Data fields take up extra memory?

  I'm using the built in sqlite library on the Android platform. I'm considering adding several general purpose fields that users will be able to use for their own custom applications, but these fields will be blank most of the time. My question is, how much overhead will these blank fields add to my database? Do null fields even take up per record memory in sqlite? If so, how much? I don't quite understand the inner workings of a sqlite database.

I need this to be cross-browser (without the use of a library. • Localization problems in iPhone

  Hi I have been trying to localize my iPhone app in two languages - english and german I have created two folders en.lproj and de.lproj each containing Localizable.strings file for respective language. I have included these files in my resources folder, changed the encoding of these files to UTF-16. I have tried cleaning the project and building it again, deleting folder at path: Library/Application Support/iPhone Simulator/User But the problem is still there. Anybody having an idea please help.

  How do I remove strings from / obfuscate a compiled binary? The goal is to avoid having people read the names of the functions/methods inside. It is a dynamic library (.so) compiled from C++ code for Android with the NDK tools (includes GCC) I compile with -O3 and already use arm-eabi-gcc -g mylib.so to remove debugging symbols, but when I do strings mylib.so all the names of the functions/methods are still readable.
