• How can I configure a Factory with the possible providers?

    - by Jonathas Costa
    I have three assemblies: "Framework.DataAccess", "Framework.DataAccess.NHibernateProvider" and "Company.DataAccess". Inside the assembly "Framework.DataAccess", I have my factory (with the wrong implementation of discovery): public class DaoFactory { private static readonly object locker = new object(); private static IWindsorContainer _daoContainer; protected static IWindsorContainer DaoContainer { get { if (_daoContainer == null) { lock (locker) { if (_daoContainer != null) return _daoContainer; _daoContainer = new WindsorContainer(new XmlInterpreter()); // THIS IS WRONG! THIS ASSEMBLY CANNOT KNOW ABOUT SPECIALIZATIONS! _daoContainer.Register( AllTypes.FromAssemblyNamed("Company.DataAccess") .BasedOn(typeof(IReadDao<>)).WithService.FromInterface(), AllTypes.FromAssemblyNamed("Framework.DataAccess.NHibernateProvider") .BasedOn(typeof(IReadDao<>)).WithService.Base()); } } return _daoContainer; } } public static T Create<T>() where T : IDao { return DaoContainer.Resolve<T>(); } } This assembly also defines the base interface for data access IReadDao: public interface IReadDao<T> { IEnumerable<T> GetAll(); } I want to keep this assembly generic and with no references. This is my base data access assembly. Then I have the NHibernate provider's assembly, which implements the above IReadDao using NHibernate's approach. This assembly references the "Framework.DataAccess" assembly. public class NHibernateDao<T> : IReadDao<T> { public NHibernateDao() { } public virtual IEnumerable<T> GetAll() { throw new NotImplementedException(); } } At last, I have the "Company.DataAccess" assembly, which can override the default implementation of NHibernate provider and references both previously seen assemblies. public interface IProductDao : IReadDao<Product> { Product GetByName(string name); } public class ProductDao : NHibernateDao<Product>, IProductDao { public override IEnumerable<Product> GetAll() { throw new NotImplementedException("new one!"); } public Product GetByName(string name) { throw new NotImplementedException(); } } I want to be able to write... IRead<Product> dao = DaoFactory.Create<IRead<Product>>(); ... and then get the ProductDao implementation. But I can't hold inside my base data access any reference to specific assemblies! My initial idea was to read that from a xml config file. So, my question is: How can I externally configure this factory to use a specific provider as my default implementation and my client implementation?

  • Mac OS X: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: com.sun.java.browser.plugin2.DOM

    - by Thilo
    I am trying to use the new LiveConnect features introduced in Java 6 Update 10. Code looks like this (copied from the applet tutorial): Class<?> c = Class.forName("com.sun.java.browser.plugin2.DOM"); Method m = c.getMethod("getDocument", java.applet.Applet.class); Document document = (Document) m.invoke(null, this); But all I am getting is a ClassNotFoundException for the entry-point class. This on the Mac, 10.6, with both Firefox and Safari. Java Plug-in 1.6.0_22 Using JRE version 1.6.0_22-b04-307-10M3261 Java HotSpot(TM) 64-Bit Server VM Is this not implemented on the Mac? Or do I need to configure something? All I need to do is get and set the value of form elements on the page, so I would be fine with an older (pre-6u10) API if that works better.

  • Edit the opposite side of a many to many relationship with django generic form

    - by Ed
    I have two models: class Actor(models.Model): name = models.CharField(max_length=30, unique = True) event = models.ManyToManyField(Event, blank=True, null=True) class Event(models.Model): name = models.CharField(max_length=30, unique = True) long_description = models.TextField(blank=True, null=True) In a previous question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/2503243/django-form-linking-2-models-by-many-to-many-field, I created an EventForm with a save function: class EventForm(forms.ModelForm): class Meta: model = Event def save(self, commit=True): instance = forms.ModelForm.save(self) instance.actors_set.clear() for actor in self.cleaned_data['actors']: instance.actors_set.add(actors) return instance This allowed me to add m2m links from the other side of the defined m2m connection. Now I want to edit the entry. I've been using a generic function: def generic_edit(request, modelname, object_id): modelname = modelname.lower() form_class = form_dict[modelname] return update_object(request, form_class = form_class, object_id = object_id, template_name = 'createdit.html' ) but this pulls in all the info except the many-to-many selections saved to this object. I think I need to do something similar to this: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1700202/editing-both-sides-of-m2m-in-admin-page, but I haven't figured it out. How do I use the generic update_object to edit the other side of many-to-many link?

  • How to get this.grandparent() functionality in Mootools?

    - by RyOnLife
    I have built a class in Mootools and extended it twice, such that there is a grandparent, parent, and child relationship: var SomeClass1 = new Class({ initialize: function() { // Code }, doSomething: function() { // Code } }); var SomeClass2 = new Class({ Extends: SomeClass1, initialize: function() { this.parent(); }, doSomething: function() { this.parent(); // Some code I don't want to run from Class3 } }); var SomeClass3 = new Class({ Extends: SomeClass2, initialize: function() { this.parent(); }, doSomething: function() { this.grandParent(); } }); From Class3, the child, I need call the doSomething() method from Class1, the grandparent, without executing any code in Class2#doSomething(), the parent. What I need is a grandParent() method to complement the Mootools parent(), but it appears that one does not exist. What's the best way to accomplish this in either Mootools or pure JavaScript? Thanks.

  • Customizing error handling of JAXB unmarshall process

    - by ekeren
    Assuming I have a schema that describes a root element class Root that contains a List
where the Entry class has a required field name. Here is how it looks in code: @XmlRootElement class Root{ @XmlElement(name="entry") public List
entries = Lists.newArrayList(); } @XmlRootElement class Entry{ @XmlElement(name="name",required=true) public String name; } If I supply the following XML for unmarshalling: <root>

</root> I have a problem because the second entry does not contain a name. So unmarshall produces null. Is there a way to customize JAXB to unmarshall a Root object that will only contain the "good" entry?

  • no Jquery only Javascrip fadein function with cleartype fot text

    - by Chetan
    Sorry guys.. I am not familiar with JavaScrip anymore but I need to add clear type of some thing which can make text anti-aliased in IE7 browser. My script as follow // JavaScript Document var CurrentDivIndex=0; var TimeOutValue; var btn; var TimeToFade = 1000.0; function ShowDivSlideShow() { try { if(CurrentDivIndex == 5) CurrentDivIndex=0; CurrentDivIndex++; //alert("Banner" + CurrentDivIndex); //alert(CurrentDivIndex); var Indexer=1; while(Indexer<6) { var DivToShow=document.getElementById("Banner" + Indexer); DivToShow.style.display = "none"; btn=document.getElementById("btnb" + Indexer); btn.setAttribute("class","none"); Indexer++; } var DivToShow=document.getElementById("Banner" + CurrentDivIndex); DivToShow.style.display = "block"; btn=document.getElementById("btnb" + CurrentDivIndex); btn.setAttribute("class","activeSlide"); // btn.className="activeSlide"; fadeIn(); TimeOutValue=setTimeout("ShowDivSlideShow()",6000); } catch(err) { alert(err) } } function ShowCustomDiv(CurrentDivIndexRec) { clearTimeout(TimeOutValue) CurrentDivIndex=CurrentDivIndexRec var Indexer=1; while(Indexer<6) { if(CurrentDivIndex==Indexer) { Indexer++; continue; } var DivToShow=document.getElementById("Banner" + Indexer); DivToShow.style.display = "none"; btn=document.getElementById("btnb" + Indexer); btn.setAttribute("class","none"); Indexer++; } var DivToShow=document.getElementById("Banner" + CurrentDivIndex); DivToShow.style.display = "block"; btn=document.getElementById("btnb" + CurrentDivIndex); btn.setAttribute("class","activeSlide"); btn.className="activeSlide" fadeIn(); } function ShowDivSlideShowWithTimeOut(CurrentDivIndexRec) { clearTimeout(TimeOutValue) CurrentDivIndex=CurrentDivIndexRec; var Indexer=1; while(Indexer<6) { if(CurrentDivIndex==Indexer) { Indexer++; continue; } var DivToShow=document.getElementById("Banner" + Indexer); DivToShow.style.display = "none"; btn=document.getElementById("btnb" + Indexer); btn.setAttribute("class","none"); Indexer++; } var DivToShow=document.getElementById("Banner" + CurrentDivIndexRec); DivToShow.style.display = "block"; btn=document.getElementById("btnb" + CurrentDivIndexRec); btn.setAttribute("class","activeSlide"); TimeOutValue=setTimeout("ShowDivSlideShow()",6000); } function ShowCustomDivOnClick(CurrentDivIndexRec) { clearTimeout(TimeOutValue) CurrentDivIndex=CurrentDivIndexRec; var Indexer=1; while(Indexer<6) { if(CurrentDivIndex==Indexer) { Indexer++; continue; } var DivToShow=document.getElementById("Banner" + Indexer); DivToShow.style.display = "none"; btn=document.getElementById("btnb" + Indexer); btn.setAttribute("class","none"); Indexer++; } var DivToShow=document.getElementById("Banner" + CurrentDivIndexRec); DivToShow.style.display = "block"; btn=document.getElementById("btnb" + CurrentDivIndexRec); btn.setAttribute("class","activeSlide"); fadeIn(); TimeOutValue=setTimeout("ShowDivSlideShow()",6000); } function setOpacity(level) { element=document.getElementById("Banner" + CurrentDivIndex); element.style.opacity = level; element.style.MozOpacity = level; element.style.KhtmlOpacity = level; element.style.filter = "alpha(opacity=" + (level * 100) + ");"; } var duration = 300; /* 1000 millisecond fade = 1 sec */ var steps = 10; /* number of opacity intervals */ var delay = 6000; /* 5 sec delay before fading out */ function fadeIn(){ for (i = 0; i <= 1; i += (1 / steps)) { setTimeout("setOpacity(" + i + ")", i * duration); } // setTimeout("fadeOut()", delay); } function fadeOut() { for (i = 0; i <= 1; i += (1 / steps)) { setTimeout("setOpacity(" + (1 - i) + ")", i * duration); } setTimeout("fadeIn()", duration); } //end of script Now I am very confused where to add : $('#slideshow').cycle({ cleartype: 1 // enable cleartype corrections }); or $('#fadingElement').fadeIn(2000, function(){ $(this).css('filter',''); }); so it will work... Please Help me...

  • $stdin compatibility with std::istream using swig, C++, and Ruby

    - by Kenny Peng
    I have a function in C++ that takes in an std::istream as the input: class Foo { Foo(std::istream &); } Using SWIG, I've bound it to Ruby, but Ruby's $stdin variable is fundamentally different from anything like the stream classes in C++, so I'm not sure how to either 1) expose the C++ class to Ruby in a way that I can use $stdin, or 2) convert $stdin into something the C++ class can understand. Anyone have experience with binding iostreams in C++ to Ruby? Thanks.

  • How would you code a washing machine?

    - by Dan
    Imagine I have a class that represents a simple washing machine. It can perform following operations in the following order: turn on - wash - centrifuge - turn off. I see two basic alternatives: A) I can have a class WashingMachine with methods turnOn(), wash(int minutes), centrifuge(int revs), turnOff(). The problem with this is that the interface says nothing about the correct order of operations. I can at best throw InvalidOprationException if the client tries to centrifuge before machine was turned on. B) I can let the class itself take care of correct transitions and have the single method nextOperation(). The problem with this on the other hand, is that the semantics is poor. Client will not know what will happen when he calls the nextOperation(). Imagine you implement the centrifuge button’s click event so it calls nextOperation(). User presses the centrifuge button after machine was turned on and ups! machine starts to wash. I will probably need a few properties on my class to parameterize operations, or maybe a separate Program class with washLength and centrifugeRevs fields, but that is not really the problem. Which alternative is better? Or maybe there are some other, better alternatives that I missed to describe?

  • AJAX Autosave

    - by antony.trupe
    What's the best javascript library, or plugin or extension to a library, that has implemented autosaving functionality? The specific need is to be able to 'save' a data grid. Think gmail and Google Documents' autosave. I don't want to reinvent the wheel if its already been invented. I'm looking for an existing implementation of the magical autoSave() function. Auto-Saving:pushing to server code that saves to persistent storage, usually a DB. The server code framework is outside the scope of this question. Note that I'm not looking for an Ajax library, but a library/framework a level higher: interacts with the form itself. daemach introduced an implementation on top of jQuery @ http://ideamill.synaptrixgroup.com/?p=3. I'm not convinced it meets the lightweight and well engineered criteria though. Criteria stable, lightweight, well engineered saves onChange and/or onBlur saves no more frequently then a given number of milliseconds handles multiple updates happening at the same time doesn't save if no change has occurred since last save saves to different urls per input class Updates I've stabilized a solution. See my answer below for links.

  • How to determine if an event is already subscribed

    - by Ram
    Hi, In my .NET application I am subscribing to events from another class. The subscription is conditional. I am subscribing to events when the control is visible and de-subscribing it when it become invisible. However in some conditions I do not want to de-subscribe the event even if the control is not visible as I want the result of an operation which is happening on background thread . Is there any way through which I can determine if a that class has already subscribed to that event. I know we can do it in the class which will raise that event by checking event with null but I don not know how to do it in a class which will subscribe to that event.

  • How to preprocess a Django model field value before return?

    - by Satoru.Logic
    Hi, all. I have a Note model class like this: class Note(models.Model): author = models.ForeignKey(User, related_name='notes') content = NoteContentField(max_length=256) NoteContentField is a custom sub-class of CharField that override the to_python method in purpose of doing some twitter-text-conversion processing. class NoteContentField(models.CharField): __metaclass__ = models.SubfieldBase def to_python(self, value): value = super(NoteContentField, self).to_python(value) from ..utils import linkify return mark_safe(linkify(value)) However, this doesn't work. When I save a Note object like this: note = Note(author=request.use, content=form.cleaned_data['content']) The conversed value is saved into the database, which is not what I wanna see. Would you please tell me what's wrong with this? Thanks in advance.

  • Objective-C categories: Can I add a property for a method not in my category?

    - by Squeegy
    I want to use a category to make a method on the original class available as a property as well. Class A: @interface ClassA - (NSString*)foo; @end Class A category @interface ClassA (Properties) - (void)someCategoryMethod; @property (nonatomic, readonly) NSString *foo; @end Now when I do this, it seems to work, but it gives me warnings because I am not synthesizing the property in my category implementation. How do I tell the compiler everything is actually just fine since the original class synthesizes the property for me?

  • Does anyone use AMPL anymore

    - by steven
    I took a class on "Intelligent Decision Making" (which was mostly an Problem Optimization class). In the class we learned about AMPL and how to extend the solvers. I haven't heard much about it lately, nor have I seen job listings for it. My question is: Is AMPL still in use anymore? If so what is it being used for? Yes, I do understand that AMPL can be replaced with Matlab, however AMPL is free and Matlab isn't even close.

How should I deal with an error where I accidentally instance a class with two identical cards, e.g (Ah, Ah)? Thanks, Ash

  • How to include the login form on the Home index page in MVC

    - by Bernard Larouche
    Hi guys I really need your help for this. I am relatively new to programming and I need help to something that could be easy for a experienced programmer. I would like to get the login form that we get for free in an MVC application on the left sidebar of my Home index page instead of the usual Account/Login page. I am facing some problems. First I need a product object to be displayed on my Home Index page as well. What I did is that I added a product object to the LogOnModel that they provide in the AccountModels class and I created a UserControl (partial view) copying the content of the LogOn.aspx view. Now my Home index.aspx as well as my partial view inherits the LogOnModel class. I can see the Login form on my Home Index page as well as my product object BUT the login Form is never empty. The last username and password always appear there. I know I must have forgotten something or have done something wrong or the way did it is completely wrong !! Please could you give me some advice Thks <%@ Control Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewUserControl<CoderForTradersSite.Models.LogOnModel>" %>
Login Form

Please enter your username and password. <%= Html.ActionLink("Register", "Register") %> if you don't have an account.
<% using (Html.BeginForm()) { %> <%= Html.ValidationSummary(true, "Login was unsuccessful. Please correct the errors and try again.") %>
<fieldset> <legend>Account Information</legend>
<%= Html.LabelFor(m => m.UserName) %>

<%= Html.TextBoxFor(m => m.UserName) %> <%= Html.ValidationMessageFor(m => m.UserName) %>

<%= Html.LabelFor(m => m.Password) %>

<%= Html.PasswordFor(m => m.Password) %> <%= Html.ValidationMessageFor(m => m.Password) %>

<%= Html.CheckBoxFor(m => m.RememberMe) %> <%= Html.LabelFor(m => m.RememberMe) %>

</fieldset>
<% } %>

  • Regular expressions - finding and comparing the first instance of a word

    - by Dan
    Hi there, I am currently trying to write a regular expression to pull links out of a page I have. The problem is the links need to be pulled out only if the links have 'stock' for example. This is an outline of what I have code wise:
  ...

  ...
What I would like to do is pull out the links only if 'collect available' is in the tag. I have tried to do this with the regular expression: (?s)prd-details[^=]+="([^"]+)" .+?collect{1}[^\s]+ available However on running it, it will find the first 'prd-details' class and keep going until it finds 'collect available', thereby taking the incorrect results. I thought by specifying the {1} after the word collect it would only use the first instance of the word it finds, but apparently I'm wrong. I've been trying to use different things such as positive and negative lookaheads but I cant seem to get anything to work. Might anyone be able to help me with this issue? Thanks, Dan

  • Using FindAll on a List<List<T>> type

    - by Ken Foster
    Assuming public class MyClass { public int ID {get; set; } public string Name {get; set; } } and List<MyClass> classList = //populate with MyClass instances of various IDs I can do List<MyClass> result = classList.FindAll(class => class.ID == 123); and that will give me a list of just classes with ID = 123. Works great, looks elegant. Now, if I had List<List<MyClass>> listOfClassLists = //populate with Lists of MyClass instances How do I get a filtered list where the lists themselves are filtered. I tried List<List<MyClass>> result = listOfClassLists.FindAll (list => list.FindAll(class => class.ID == 123).Count > 0); it looks elegant, but doesn't work. It only includes Lists of classes where at least one class has an ID of 123, but it includes ALL MyClass instances in that list, not just the ones that match. I ended up having to do List<List<MyClass>> result = Results(listOfClassLists, 123); private List<List<MyClass>> Results(List<List<MyClass>> myListOfLists, int id) { List<List<MyClass>> results = new List<List<MyClass>>(); foreach (List<MyClass> myClassList in myListOfLists) { List<MyClass> subList = myClassList.FindAll(myClass => myClass.ID == id); if (subList.Count > 0) results.Add(subList); } return results; } which gets the job done, but isn't that elegant. Just looking for better ways to do a FindAll on a List of Lists. Ken
