  • Oneliner to count the number of tabs in each line of a file

    I have a file that is tab delimited. I would like a powershell script that counts the number of tabs in each line. I came up with this: ${C:\tabfile.txt} |% {$_} | Select-String \t | Measure-Object | fl count it yields 3, Which is the number of lines in the file. any pointers to what I'm doing wrong? I would like it to print a single number for each line in the file.

  • C child read giving "resource temporarily unavailable"

    So I have a file stream from a parent process to a child - and most of the time it works fine. However, when reading from it multiple times quickly, using fgets() will return NULL and the error is set to "resource temporarily unavailable". The problem is intermittent - and running the script that does the reads will sometimes have fgets return NULL and sometimes wont. Could anyone help me stop this error from happening? Thanks!

But I'm not able to find a documentation online for just two things: How can I set the stats property to be "awstats" instead of "Nothing"? This works, but I get a warning [csc] This task is deprecated and will be removed in a future version [csc] of Ant. It is now part of the .NET Antlib: [csc] http://ant.apache.org/antlibs/dotnet/index.html How can I replace the csc task? I can surely create an exec task calling nant with a project.build file, but that feels completely wrong.

    I need to create a nice installer for a Mac application. I want it to be a disk image (DMG), with a predefined size, layout and background image. I need to do this programmatically in a script, to be integrated in an existing build system (more of a pack system really, since it only create installers. The builds are done separately). I already have the DMG creation done using "hdiutil", what I haven't found out yet is how to make an icon layout and specify a background bitmap.

Some of the "stuff" is causing the color picker to appear well below the link when clicked. For example, in my python script I'm just trying to use os.chdir("/Users/aaron/Desktop/testdir/") But would like to use os.chdir("~/Desktop/testdir/") I'm getting a no such file or directory error when trying to run this. Any ideas?

    I have a script which displays images like this: header("Content-Type: image/{$ext}"); readfile($image-path); This has worked fine for weeks and now suddenly it has stopped working. The response header looks fine (Content-Type: image/jpg), I have no ending php-tag and I have made no changes to my code, server- or php-setup which could have caused this to malfunction. Does anyone have a clue as to what may be going wrong? Thanks!

    I'm having a problem displaying data from a function to text box within a tab. If you run the code and click "Select Tab 2 and Fill..." I get an error; "TypeError: Error #1009: Cannot access a property or method of a null object reference." I'm guessing this is because "Tab 2" is/was not rendered yet. Now if I run the code, select "Tab 2" then select "Tab 1" and click "Select Tab 2 and Fill..." it works the way I would like.   • SQL 2005 - any way to restore/copy a diagram?

    I used the Redgate packager (ran MSI) to reset all the data in my database (i.e. I deleted everything, and let it build the new database). Unfortunately, I discovered that it didn't retain my diagrams, which has a nice arrangement and several annotations. Is there any way to copy/migrate/script the diagram from one database to another (the databases have identical structures). Thanks, Neal Walters

    Is there any way to use OpenOffice's PyUNO without using the version of Python that comes with OpenOffice? I mean, can I install a package (on Windows and CentOS) that uses the version of Python that's already on the server? I'm trying to use OpenOffice in headless mode so that I can do document conversion with a script (ultimately on a hosted server running CentOS) but my development work is being done on Windows and occassionally the Mac). I'm having nothing but trouble getting this to work.
