  I currently work in a position that i have to manage and access 1000s of pages for troubleshooting and new setup.... and im trying to figure out a way for firefox or chrome to setup ANYtime it sees for instance a a web based page for equipment like (CISCO, Linksys, Sonicwall, T1 controllers) from the manufacture in the Title bar or from the originating page place a set up 2 - 3 passwords to auto log on with. 1st one of course being the most common so it logs in faster.. I access about 14 different web based products with passwords tied to each of them and if someway i can grab info stating that hey this company is cisco/sonicwall/linksys/hp/ log on with these set of 3-5 credintials. Using possible If then statements.... is that hard i saw some script files but not sure if its difficult because some apps use the MSG BOX built in feature and some use the form submit method built on the page unless i can have 2 different grease monkey scripts at the same time.... thanks.

  Greetings. I have a need to have a 'child' modal opended from a colorbox modal. Form - anchor - opens modal ('parent') - model has another anchor - open modal 'child' The problem is that when the 'child' modal closes via the $.fn.colorbox.close() Method this seems to close all the colorbox modal windows. I just need to close the 'child' (the second opened from the first modal), after I set a hidden on the 'parent' modal. Any suggestions on how to close just the second colorbox window? Using jQuery 1.3.2 and Colorbox 1.3.5

• [PHP] Singleton class and using inheritance

  I have am working on a web application that makes use of helper classes. These classes hold functions to various operation such as form handling. Sometimes I need these classes at more than one spot in my application, The way I do it now is to make a new Object. I can't pass the variable, this will be too much work. I was wondering of using singleton classes for this. This way I am sure only one instance is running at a time. My question however is when I use this pattern, should I make a singleton class for all the objects, this would b a lot of code replication. Could I instead make a super class of superHelper, which is a singleton class, and then let every helper extend it. Would this sort of set up work, or is there another alternative? And if it works, does someone have any suggestions on how to code such a superHelper class. Thank you guys

On the page load of my form I set the datasource of a grid in the code behind, not using a DomainDataSource control, like: TestDomainContext context = new TestDomainContext(); dataGridEmployees.ItemsSource = context.EmployeePositions; context.Load(context.GetEmployeesWithPositionQuery()); I have a textbox on my page that the user can enter into to filter on employee position. Is it now possible to add FilterDescriptor to the source of the DataGrid in code behind? Or would I manually need to filter the results of the context.GetEmployeesWithPositionQuery, for example on KeyUp event of the filter TextBox?

• How to avoid "Page Expired" messages on logout with Wicket after redirect

  Hi there. I'm taking my first steps in to the world of Wicket. I've set up a login form and a logout page. The logout page looks like this: public class LogoutPage extends WebPage { public LogoutPage(final PageParameters pageParams) { getSession().invalidate(); setResponsePage(getApplication().getHomePage()); } } When a user clicks the Logout link they're redirected to the homepage, so far so good. The problem is that when a user tries to click on any of the navigatable Link's they get a "Page Expired" message. I'd like to log the user out gracefully and allow the user to continue to browse the website without receiving the "Page Expired" message. Any help is greatly appreciated. By the way, I've tried to follow the Wicket examples but they seem to be using org.apache.wicket.authentication and I haven't figured out how to make this available to my project (I'm using eclipse and maven2).

  I'm attempting to dump data from a Pandas Dataframe into a JSON file to import into MongoDB. The format I require in a file has JSON records on each line of the form: {<column 1>:<value>,<column 2>:<value>,...,<column N>:<value>} df.to_json(,orient='records') gets close to the result but all the records are dumped within a single JSON array. Any thoughts on an efficient way to get this result from a dataframe? UPDATE: The best solution I've come up with is the following: dlist = df.to_dict('records') dlist = [json.dumps(record)+"\n" for record in dlist] open('data.json','w').writelines(dlist)

There doesn't appear to be anything built into Oracle 9, or Oracle 10 to address this sort of thing. My Google-Fu, and AskTom suggest creating a pl/sql function to deal with the task. That is not an option for me at this point. I am looking for suggestions on an approach to take that might help me solve this issue. To put this into a visual form... • Refinery CMS (Rails): Creating a plugin or plugins with multiple models and relationships

  My goal is to create a way for an admin to create two models in the Refinery admin: Campaigns and Videos I would like to have it setup so that a Campaign has many Videos and that each Video belongs to a Campaign. Both Videos and Campaigns will have a title, description, and a preview image. I'm not certain of the best way to go about this. Is it possible to setup two plugins and form a relationship between the two? Or, should I create one plugin with both models. If someone could point me in the right direction or a good example of a solution to a similar problem, I would be grateful. Thank you for looking!

  Some people like blogging on a site that is completely managed by someone else (e.g. http://wordpress.com/) and others, like me, prefer hosting their own blog at their own domain. In the latter case you need to decide what blog engine to install on your web space to power your blog. There are many free blog engines to choose from (e.g. the one from http://wordpress.org/). If, like me, you want to use a blog engine that is based on the .NET platform you have many choices including BlogEngine.NET, Subtext and the one I picked: dasBlog. In this post I'll describe the steps I took to get going with the open source dasBlog (home page, source page). A. Installing First I installed dasBlog on my local Windows 7 machine where I have IIS7 installed. To install dasBlog, I started by clicking the "Install" button on its web gallery page. After that I went through configuration, theming and adding content as described below. Once I was happy that everything was working correctly on the local machine, I set this up on a hosting service. I went for a Windows IIS7 shared hosting 3 month Economy plan from GoDaddy. The dasBlog site lists a bunch of other hosts. You can read the installation instructions for dasBlog, and with GoDaddy I just had to click one button since it is available as part of their quick-install apps. With GoDaddy I had a previewdns option that allowed me to play around and preview my site before going live. B. Configuring After it was installed (on local machine and/or hosting provider), I followed the obvious steps to create an admin user and logged in. This displays an admin navigation bar with the following options: 1. Navigator Links: I decided I was not going to use this feature. I manage links on the side of my blog manually elsewhere as part of the theme. So, I deleted every entry on this page and ignored it thereafter. 2. Blogroll: Ditto - same comment as for Navigator Links. 3. Content Filters: I did not delete (or add) these, but I did ensure both checkboxes are not checked. I.e. I am not using this feature now, but I may return to it in the future. 4. Activity: This is a read-only view of various statistics. So nothing to configure here, but useful to come back to for complementary statistics to whatever other statistical package you use (e.g. free stats as part of the hosting and I also use feedburner for syndication stats). 5. Cross-posting: I did not need that, so I turned it off via the Configuration Settings discussed next. 6. Configuration Settings: This is where the bulk of the configuration for the blog takes place and they are stored in a single XML file: Site.Config file. There are truly self-explanatory options to pick for Basic Settings, Services Settings and Services to Ping, Syndication Settings (this is where you link to your feedburner name if you have one) and Mail to Weblog Settings (I keep this turned off). There are also "Xml Storage System Settings" (I keep this turned off), "OpenId Settings" (I allow OpenID commenters), "Spammer Settings" (Enable captcha, never show email addresses) and "Comment settings" (Enable comments, don't allow on older posts, don't allow html). There are also Appearance Settings (I checked the "Use Post Title for Permalink", replaced spaces with hyphen and unchecked the "Use Unique Title"). Finally, there are also Notification Settings, but they are a bit of hit and miss in my case, in that I don’t always get the emails (still investigating this). C. Adding Content You can add content via the "Add Entry" link on the admin navigation bar or by configuring the "Mail to Weblog" settings and sending email or, do what I've started doing, use Live Writer (also the team has a blog). Another way to add content is programmatically if, for example, you are migrating content from another blog (and I'll cover that in separate post sharing the code). What you should know is that all blog content (posts and comments) live in XML files in a folder called "content" under your dasBlog installation. D. Theming There is a very good guide about themes for dasBlog, there is also a similar guide with screenshots (scroll down to "So how do I create a theme") and the dasBlog macro reference. When you install dasBlog, there are many themes available; each theme is in its own folder (representing the folder name) under the themes folder. You may have noticed that you can switch between these via the "Appearance Settings" described above (look for the combobox after the Default Theme label). I created my own theme by copy-pasting an existing theme folder, renaming it and then switching to it as the default. I then opened the folder in Visual Studio and hacked around the HTML in the 3 files (itemTemplate, homeTemplate and dayTemplate). These files have a blogtemplate file extension, which I temporarily renamed to HTML as I was editing them. There is no more advice I can offer here as this is a matter of taste and the aforementioned links is all I used. Personally, I had salvaged the CSS (and structure) from my previous blog and wanted to make this one match it as closely as possible - I think I have succeeded. E. If you run into any issue with dasBlog... ...use your favorite search engine to find answers. Many bloggers have been using this engine for a while and have documented issues and workarounds over time. One such example is ScottHa's dasBlog category; another example is therightstuff where I "borrowed" the idea/macro for the outlook-style on-page navigation.   Let's say we have this form, and the possible part for a user to inject malicious code is this below ... <input type=text name=username value=<?php echo htmlspecialchars($_POST['username']); ? ... We can't simply put a tag, or a javascript:alert(); call, because value will be interpreted as a string, and htmlspecialchars filters out the <,,',", so We can't close off the value with quotations. We can use String.fromCode(.....) to get around the quotes, but I still unable to get a simple alert box to pop up. Any ideas?

• MVC map to nullable bool in model

  With a view model containing the field: public bool? IsDefault { get; set; } I get an error when trying to map in the view: <%= Html.CheckBoxFor(model => model.IsDefault) %> Cannot implicitly convert type 'bool?' to 'bool'. An explicit conversion exists (are you missing a cast?) I've tried casting, and using .Value and neither worked. Note the behaviour I would like is that submitting the form should set IsDefault in the model to true or false. A value of null simply means that the model has not been populated.

• Problems with FlowLayoutPanel inside Panel with AutoSize

  I have the following controls hierarchy: Form Panel (AutoSize = true, AutoSizeMode = GrowAndShrink, Dock = Top) FlowLayoutPanel (AutoSize = true, AutoSizeMode = GrowAndShrink, Dock = Top) Control1, Control2, Control3, Control4, ... FlowLayoutPanel (AutoSize = true, AutoSizeMode = GrowAndShrink, Dock = Top) Control1, Control2, Control3, Control4, ... Here is how it layouts in various sizes: Fully visible all 8 buttons, but the Panel forgot to shrink The first FlowLayoutPanel are fully visible, but the second is only half visible, button8 is missing The first FlowLayoutPanel are fully visible, but the second is only half visible, button7 and button8 are missing The first FlowLayoutPanel are fully visible, but the second is only quarter visible, button 6, button7 and button8 are missing As you see, i'm not satisfied from this behavior. Is there something i can do to get all this work?

• Howto I get the user domain\username and Display name From SharePoint People Picker InternalId?

  I have been trying to user sharepoint designer to retrieve the user's full name and even the domain\username from the people pucker field but the problem is I tend to get numbers. It looks like the intetrnal Id. In my case I am getting 14 instead of domain\username from the list form's field. Any idea on where I can get the dmain\username or even better the full name? Thanks !! I am using SharePoint Designer and Windows Sharepoint Services 3/SharePoint 2007. Update : I have managed to get the domain\username now. I just had to change the people picker's show field to ID. However now I am getting a weird prefix on my domain\username. I am getting this -1;#domain\username instead of just domain\username. Anybody know how I can overcome this? Thanks !!

• JSF 1.1 and Ajax4jsf not working properly on Websphere 6.1

  I am working with JSF 1.1, Ajax4JSF. What I find is if I enable a4j:support for some of JSF's inputText items, it is not working as expected. I have something like this in the code <h:inputText value="#{bean.desc}"> <a4j:support event="onkeyup" reRender="id"/> </h:inputText> And what I find is, sometimes it does not work, for example, I type TEST on the input text box and what transfers is only the "T" to the backing bean. One more problem that I see is, when I submit the form, some of the values are not getting set in the backing bean. The setter methods are not called at all. I do not think this is working properly in my env, is it this combination of JSF1.1,Ajax4JSF and websphere6.1 is not supported or is there anyway I can troubleshoot this ?

• Calling WCF Service from Action Script 2

  Hi All, I am a .NET programmer working with a Flash designer on a project. The design is that they will create a flash UI (implemented with AS2) to present a questionnaire. After it is completed by an end user, the will send me (a .net web service of some form) the answers to the questionnaire, I will perform a calculation, and I will send a response back (the response will likely be a single integer, though it may be a touple of (integer score, string description). Neither myself nor the designer is knowledgeable of Action Script. Does anyone have a snippet for such web service calls in AS2? Are there any soap libraries for AS2 that we could use, or should I expose a RESTful interface? Can it be as simple as having the designer concat the questionnaire answers into the query string of the service URL? What would be a typical data format for my response (xml, json, plain text) Thanks in advance for your help. Frank

  Hi, Some time ago I have payed to a programmer for doing multithread server. In the meantime I have learned C# a bit and now I think I can see the slowndown problem - I was told by that guy that nothing is processed on the main thread (Form) so it cannot be frozen..but it is. But I think that altough BeginAcceptSocket is async operation, but its callback runs on the main thread and if there is locking, thats the reason why the app freezes. Am I right?
