Is SSIS able to query flat files from another Windows Server?

I pretty new SQL Server Integration Server (SSIS) user. Is SSIS able to query data from text files located in another Windows Server? I mean that when SSIS is installed on Windwos Server A, is SSIS able to query data from e.g. one folder containing text files in Windows Server B (under same domain)? I have used only SAP BO Data Integrator ETL tool and it cannot query flat files from another Server: during execution, all files must be located on the Job Server machine that executes the job.

How do I layout an image that will be dynamically sized in interface builder?

I am having trouble laying out scrollable view in interface builder. A screen shot of my layout is here. As you can see the layout is pretty simple. The UIImageView above the text will not have a specific height. It may be 100px high or 300px high. This is why the view is scrollable. I am experiencing two problems with this layout: 1) For some reason the image will sit behind the text instead of pushing it down. Take a look here. 2) The obvious other problem is that the upper most UIImage and UILabel are getting pushed up off of the screen. I am thinking this has to do with the UIScrollView but I haven't been able to figure out why. Thanks!

Showing renames in hg status?

I know that Mercurial can track renames of files, but how do I get it to show me renames instead of adds/removes when I do hg status? For instance, instead of: A bin/extract-csv-column.pl A bin/find-mirna-binding.pl A bin/xls2csv-separate-sheets.pl A lib/Text/CSV/Euclid.pm R src/extract-csv-column.pl R src/find-mirna-binding.pl R src/modules/Text/CSV/Euclid.pm R src/xls2csv-separate-sheets.pl I want some indication that four files have been moved. I think I read somewhere that the output is like this to preserve backward-compatibility with something-or-other, but I'm not worried about that.

So running it on raw input for the first line would produce: Hi! How are you? <script>//NOT EVIL!</script> Now I need to escape all the input, but at the same time I need to preserve emoticons in their initial state. So when there is <:-P emoticon, it stays like that and does not become <:-P. I was thinking of running a regex split on the emotified text. Then processing each part on its own and then concatenating the string together, but I am not sure how easily can Regex be bypassed? I know the format will always be this: [<img class="smiley" alt="] [empty string] [" title="] [one of the values from a big list] [, ] [another value from the list (may be matching original emoticon)] [" src="ui/emoticons/] [integer from Y to X] [.gif">] Using the list MAY be slow, since I need to run that regex on text that may have 20-30-40 emoticons. Plus there may be 5-10-15 text messages to process. What could be an elegant solution to this? I am ready to use third-party library or jQuery for this. PHP preprocessing is possible as well.

I don't want to keep adding fields to the 'songs' table for this. How can I store song related data a more efficient way? What's the best practice here?

Why does my program crash when given negative values?

Alright, I am very confused, so I hope you friends can help me out. I'm working on a project using Cocos2D, the most recent version (.99 RC 1). I make some player objects and some buttons to change the object's life. But the weird thing is, the code crashes when I try to change their life by -5. Or any negative value for that matter, besides -1. So... what's up with that?

Best way to implement keywords for image upload gallery

I'm starting to spec out an image gallery type system similar to Facebook's. Members of the site will be able to create image galleries and upload images for others to view. Images will have keywords the the uploader can specify. Here's the question, what's the best way to model this? With image and keyword tables linked vi a HABTM relation? Or a single image table with the keywords saved as comma delimited values in a text field in the image record? Then search them using a LIKE or FULL TEXT index function? I want to be able to pull up all images containing a given keyword as well as generate a keyword cloud. I'm leaning toward the HABTM setup but I wanted to see what everyone else though. Thanks!!

How can I populate highchart jQuery plugin dynamically from MVC action?

I'm trying out the Highcharts jQuery plugin for creating charts of data in an MVC application. But I need to get the data for the function dynamically from an Action Method. How can I do that? Currently I'm only object given to me is the label, and I can only add text to it. Now what I want is to have unique success message. For example: username field will have a success message: 'username okay!' email = 'email seems right' something along those lines, instead of displaying just one generic success message on all the fields. Hi guys. I have a table in SQL Server which looks like this: ID Code Name Surname 1 MS Mike Smith 2 JD John Doe 3 UP Unknown Person and so on... Now I want to bind the data from this table into the ComboBox in a way that in the ComboBox I have displayed value from the Code column. I am doing the binding in this way: SqlDataAdapter sqlAdapter = new SqlDataAdapter("SELECT * FROM dbo.Users ORDER BY Code", MainConnection); sqlAdapter.Fill(dsUsers, "Users"); cbxUsers.DataSource = dsUsers.Tables["Users"]; cmUsers = (CurrencyManager)cbxUsers.BindingContext[dsUsers.Tables["Users"]]; cbxUsers.DisplayMember = "Code"; And this code seems to work. I can scroll through the list of Codes. Also I can start to write code by hand and ComboBox will autocomplete the code for me. However, I wanted to put a label at the top of the combobox to display Name and Surname of the currently selected user code. My line of though was like that: "So, I need to find an event which will fire up after the change of code in combobox and in that event I will get the current DataRow..." I was browsing through the events of combobox, tried many of them but without a success. The other problem is that when I start to type in ComboBox and press enter it doesn't trigger the event. However, everything works as expected when I bind data to lblNameSurname.Text in this way: lblNameSurname.DataBindings.Add("Text", dsusers.Tables["Users"], "Name"); The problem here is that I can bind only one column and I want to have two. I don't want to use two labels for it (one to display name and other to display surname). So, what is the solution to my problem? Also, I have one question related to the data selection in ComboBox. Now, when I type something in the combobox it allows me to type letters that are not existing in the list. For example, I start to type "J" and instead of finishing with "D" so I would have "JD", I type "Jsomerandomtexthere". Combobox will allow that but such item does not exists on the list. In other words, I want combobox to prevent user from typing code which is not on the list of codes. Thanks in advance for your time.

Lets say I have 2 entries (according to the table description): 1,1,'ELEMENT 1','A',0,0 2,1,'ELEMENT 2','B',0,1 I want to pivot this data in a view for reporting so that it would look like more like the CSV would, where the output would look this: --------------------- |ELEMENT 1|ELEMENT 2| --------------------- | A | B | --------------------- The data coming in is extremely dynamic; it can be in any order, can be any of over 900 different elements, and the value could be anything. The Run ID ties them all together, and the line and column order basically let me know where the user wants that data to come back in order.

Dear All, Pardon me if you feel this has been answered numerous times, but I need answers to the following queries! Why data has to be aligned (on 4 byte/ 8 byte/ 2 byte boundaries)? Here my doubt is when the CPU has address lines Ax Ax-1 Ax-2 ... A2 A1 A0 then it is quite possible to address the memory locations sequentially. So why there is the need to align the data at specific boundaries? How to find the alignment requirements when I am compiling my code and generating the executatble? If for e.g the data alignment is 4 byte boundary, does that mean each consecutive byte is located at modulo 4 offsets? My doubt is if data is 4 byte aligned does that mean that if a byte is at 1004 then the next byte is at 1008 (or at 1005)? Your thoughts are much welcome. Thanks in advance! /MS

I am having a problem displaying a Javascript string with embedded Unicode character escape sequences (\uXXXX) where the initial "\" character is itself escaped as "\" What do I need to do to transform the string so that it properly evaluates the escape sequences and produces output with the correct Unicode character? For example, I am dealing with input such as: "this is a \u201ctest\u201d"; attempting to decode the "\" using a regex expression, e.g.: var out = text.replace('/\/g','\'); results in the output text: "this is a \u201ctest\u201d"; that is, the Unicode escape sequences are displayed as actual escape sequences, not the double quote characters I would like.

Problem with ajax and posting non-latin characters

Posting non-latin based languages with ajax + jquery doesn't save to mysql the correct text. What I have done is this: I am getting multiple translated words from Google's translation api. The ajax request is showing the correct translations for all languages. But when i try and insert this into the db it shows up in php my admin as garbled text I added AddDefaultCharset UTF-8 to .htaccess file on the root. I tried setting the header in php to utf-8 and this did not work. I have tried adding a contentType to ajax setup but this didn't work also. Any suggestions appreciated. jason

Default content editor in list form doesn't allow image alignment

I need to be able to adjust the alignment of an image in an "Enhanced Rich Text Field" in an announcements list in MOSS 2007. However, the default content editor in the edit form for the list doesn't provide a way to do that. What's the fastest way for me to make sure users can align images? My first thought was to customize the DispForm.aspx and EditForm.aspx pages, but they just have the ListForm web part in the content region and as far as I know, you can't customize the ListForm web part from the designer.

Hi all, I've a flat file that I cleaned the data out using SSIS, the output looks like that : MEDICAL ADMIT PATIENT PATIENT DATE OF DX REC NO DATE NUMBER NAME DISCHARGE Code DRG # 123613 02/16/09 12413209 MORIBALDI ,GEMMA 02/19/09 428.20 988 130897 01/23/09 12407193 TINLEY ,PATRICIA 01/23/09 535.10 392 139367 02/27/09 36262509 THARPE ,GLORIA 03/05/09 562.10 392 141954 02/25/09 72779499 SHUMATE ,VALERIA 02/25/09 112.84 370 141954 03/07/09 36271732 SHUMATE ,VALERIA 03/10/09 493.92 203 145299 01/21/09 12406294 BAUGH ,MARIA 01/21/09 366.17 117 and the report (final results) attached in the screen shot from the final excel report. so what's happening is IF the same name or same account number is duplicate, that means the patient has entered the hospital again and needs to be included in the report. ![alt text][1] what I need to do is... Eliminate any rows that is NOT duplicate (not everybody in this file has been admitted again) and compare the dates to get the ReAdmitdate and ReDischargedate I dumped the data into a SQL table and trying to compare the dates to figure out "ReAdmitdate" and "ReDischargedate" any help is appreciated. Hello all, How do I match and get the flash vars on a HTML page?
