css code not working because of firefox latest version

Layout of popup components changes while moving

I have designed some popup moving menu with JQuery, it looks perfekt in webkit browsers, but i have one problem in mozilla, when i move my popup window, layout of some components in this window changes! How Can I Determine if HTTP Requests/Responses are compressed in IE7?

I'm trying to use Fiddler (v2.2.2.0) to see if HTTP traffic through IE7 is being compressed. I'm not seeing Accept-Encoding or Content-Encoding request/response headers being sent/returned and I do not need to decode the response data once it's arrived, which leads me to believe that the responses are NOT coming back compressed. However, when making the same requests using FireFox 3.5.7, I could see through FireBug that FF was sending Accept-Encoding and YSlow at least thought my data was coming back compressed. A comment in this question: http://stackoverflow.com/questions/897989/using-fiddler-to-check-iis-compression suggested that a proxy server may be to blame for stripping out headers and decompressing the content for security reasons. I am using Verizon FIOS for my broadband at home and am now wondering if Verizon is proxying my HTTP traffic? In short, how can I positively confirm/deny that responses are coming back compressed through IE? Thanks.

How do I update mysql database when posting form without using hidden inputs?

I have a "members" table in mysql which has approximately 200 field names. Each user is given up to 7 website templates with 26 different values they can insert unique data into for each template. Each time they create a template, they post the form with the 26 associated values. These 26 field names are the same for each template, but are differentiated by an integer at the end, ie _1, _2, ... _7. In the form submitting the template, I have a variable called $pid_sum which is inserted at the end of each field name to identify which template they are creating. Django template CSS/IMG is "off" in the URL

I have /path/to/my/theme/static/css/frontend.css which is called by base.html <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="{{ STATIC_URL }}css/frontend.css" media="all" /> In which I've got a background for the header: #header-wrapper min-width: 960px; height: 150px; background: transparent url(img/header-bg.png) repeat-x center bottom; } The file is /path/to/my/theme/static/img I've run manage.py collectstatic to gather the files and almost everything looks correct except the link generated looks like: http://example.com/static/css/img/header-bg.png In which the image does not show, because the correct URL is: http://example.com/static/img/header-bg.png Where am I going wrong??

Programmatically set browser cookie (Firefox)

I know from this question that Firefox 3.0 and up stores its cookies in an SQLite database. My question is: can you access this database from other desktop programs in such a way that you could add a cookie? I realize this has security implications. However, I do not want to read them at all. I want to be able to set one cookie if possible. I don't even want to overwrite a cookie. I just want to add it if it isn't there already. This is sort of a personal project I'm working on for fun. This question is mostly language agnostic. I would prefer a solution in C#, but proof of concept in any language will suffice. Extra credit: It would be cool to set the same cookie in Internet Explorer, too

Data manipulation without server side

Hi, I have to create a very simple webpage to show, filter and add data from not-yet-defined source (probably txt/xml/cvs). Records should be visible as a table, filtered using 3 criteria fields. There should be also possibility to add new records. My first thought was: XHTML + jQuery + csv2table + PicNet Table Filter. It does exactly what I want except adding rows - that is saving changes in source file (probably due to security risk). My question is - is there any possibility to do it without involving server side like asp.net, jee, php, sql? Source file is located on the server. Thanks for your ideas :-)

Rotating an image in all browsers (canvas in IE?)

I finally got to work with canvas only to find out that it is not implemented in IE. I tried explore canvas from google to use it in Internet Explorer, but it's not working for my code (http://uptowar.com/test.php - little bug though that it is not removing the old image when rotating). So, is there an other way to smoothly rotate an image around it's bottom center angle? Maybe javascript? Or is there a way to do it with IE and canvas anyway? Edit: Google Chrome also seems to add an ugly border to the canvas example.. there must be an other smooth way? Edit2: tried a hacky javascript way: it causes mayor lags and corrupts the image (http://uptowar.com/test2.php), anyone knows of a working method?

[Resolved] OWC does not work with IE8

Hi, I have a web page that is generated with Access 2003 and uses Office Web Components. It worked fine with IE6 and IE7 but does not work anymore with IE8. Here are more details. I create an MSODSC component and a WSH object to get my ConnectionString in the registry. Then the Dropdown Lists are fed by a request to the database. It works perfect with IE6 and IE7, works locally with IE8 but if the page is served by IIS to IE8, the drop down lists are empty. Can anyone help me ? Thanks Mactov It was just a security issue. I had put my site in the confidence zone (according to the error message). I transfered it into intranet zone and it works perfect.

How to make a UILabel which adjusts it's text to the upper left?

For some strange reason, in iPhone OS 3.0 this doesn't work: I made a big fullscreen UILabel with numberOfLines = 0 and baselineAdjustment = UIBaselineAdjustmentNone. It refuses to show the text in the upper left. It's always in the center of the bounding box, aligned to the left. The documentation says: UIBaselineAdjustmentNone Adjust text relative to the top-left corner of the bounding box. This is the default adjustment. Available in iPhone OS 2.0 and later. Probably a framework bug? I started with shiny new labels to test it. Text is centered.

Iframe contents not accessible from a page in different domain

Need some help from javascript gurus. I have one page where http://www.google.com/finance/converter is embedded inside IFrame. I am able to get the event notification whenever Google Finance page loads. Now problem is this that contents of this page is not accessible through javascript. It seems to be some security issue (firebug notified). Is there any workaround so that I can access values (result and select boxes) using javascript? I am working on call center project and I have to calculate the call arrivals at the same time between specific time ranges. I have to write a procedure which has parameters StartTime, EndTime and Interval For Example: Start Time: 11:00 End Time: 12:00 Interval: 20 minutes so program should divide the 1-hour time range into 3 parts and each part should count the arrivals which started and finished in this range OR arrivals which started and haven't finished yet Should be like this: 11:00 - 11:20 15 calls at the same time(TimePeaks) 11:20 - 11:40 21 calls ... 11:40 - 12:00 8 calls ... Any suggestions how to calculate them?

I have a paragraph, in that, some of the texts are surrounded with a specific html tag. I need to to find the text which are not surrounded by that specific html tag. Guaranteed way to force application running continuously (overriding taskkill, task manager etc.)

I have a C# security/monitoring application that I need to have running no matter what. However, I can not remove privileges or restrict access to parts of the OS (Windows). I thought of having a protection service running which monitors continuously if an application is running, and starts it back up when the application is killed somehow, while the application monitors the protection service and starts the service if the service is killed. To my knowledge you can't simultaneously kill multiple processes at the same time. Any better idea to guarantee that an application is always running?

I want to prevent people from accessing my php pages directly using .htaccess

I have a site that is made up of php pages, but they are served to the user through includes based on what I think they need. if they can guess the name of a php file, they can access those pages. while this is not a security risk at all, i would rather have a way to catch this and redirect them to somewhere else. i really want everything to go through the index page unless it is a file that exists (exeption being for any file ending with .php). CALayer Position Contents to Bottom Left

I am attempting to draw an image onto a CALayer. I only need an image, so I have created my later as follows: CALayer *layer = [CALayer layer]; I add my image as follows: NSImage *img = [[NSImage alloc] initWithContentsOfFile:@"path/to/img.png"]; [layer setContents:img]; This works, however it draws my images to fill the entire parent frame (stretching my image in the process). Reading the docs, I found the following: [layer setContentsGravity:@"kCAGravityBottomLeft"]; I am attempting to draw my image in the bottom left of the parent frame, however no matter what I do it draws my icon in the bottom center. Is there anyway to specify the bottom left?

Java Pack No Resize

i am learning Java at the moment and have the following question: i am adding my controls to JFrame and then pack() before displaying. this runs the application and all is very nice. i was wondering is there a way to stop the user from resizing the application window? also is there a way to for the image in JLabel to expand as the user changes the application window? at the moment i have it as: constraints.fill = GridBagConstraints.BOTH; constraints.anchor = GridBagConstraints.CENTER; and it only centers the image, i would like to be able to expand/shrink the image. thanks.

How do you combine a Move and Rotate effect in Flex 3?

I realize you can make one of each effect, set the same target, and hit .play();, but this produces weird results (acknowledged by Adobe, fixed in Flex 4). I'm trying to have an object move from the top of the screen to the bottom while it rotates around it's own center. When called independently, both of these effects work perfectly. When called together, the object always rotates around the top left corner. I even tried putting them both inside a <Parallel> tag with no success. Has anyone come up with a workaround?
