    Does the original data type of the username string in a call to FormsAuthentication.SetAuthCookie(...) make any difference with regards to security or code maintainability? As I understand it, the cookie is encrypted and used to identify a user on each request. I'm curious whether it should affect the design of the primary key on my Users table in my database, eg. Guid vs int or a unique username string.

    Hi, Just seen one tutorial saying that: Class Dog { private string Name; } Class SuperDog:Dog { private string Mood; } Then there was an UML displaying that SuperDog will inherit Name as well. I have tried but to me it seems that only public members are inherited. At least I could not access Name unless it was declared as public. Thanks

I created a model using ruby script/generate model Article next i edited the my articles.rb file by adding these lines in self.up method def self.up create_table :articles do |t| t.string :title t.text :body t.string :published_at t.timestamps end end Now i ran rake db:migrate . But migrate does not work, it simply does no print anything. Anyone knows where i am going wrong?

I have the function with following signature: void box_sort(int**, int, int) and variable of following type: int boxes[MAX_BOXES][MAX_DIMENSIONALITY+1] When I am calling the function box_sort(boxes, a, b) GCC gives me two warnings: 103.c:79: warning: passing argument 1 of ‘box_sort’ from incompatible pointer type (string where i am calling the function) 103.c:42: note: expected ‘int **’ but argument is of type ‘int (*)[11] (string where the function is defined) The question is why? Whether int x[][] and int** x (and actually int* x[]) are not the same types in C?

I'm not trying to reinvent your precious wheel, and I'm not trying to create the new web technology. I just have the time to go for it.), creating a web CGI C++ library. I'm at a pretty good point, but in the future I see one big problem: views. I'm used to the great <body><?php echo "Hey!"; ?></body> embedded php, but there's no such thing in C++, so I'm wondering: How would you deal with views? Would you create a simple find-replace-variable templating system and deal with thousands of partial views?     I have two servlet: first servlet is similar to a client and creates an HttpURLConnection to call the second servlet. I would like send a special error, formatted like a JSON object, so I call sendError method in this way: response.sendError(code, "{json-object}") But in the first servlet when I read error with getResponseMessage method I just get standard HTTP message and not my json object as a string. How I can get my json string?
