  Here's an example that will explain things: Sheets("Plot Data July").Select ActiveSheet.ListObjects("tPDJuly").Range.AutoFilter Field:=2 ActiveSheet.ListObjects("tPDJuly").Range.AutoFilter Field:=4 So as you can see above, Field:=2 is a relative reference to the second field in the table called "tPDJuly". So now if I add more columns, this number does not get updated. The field is actually called "Grade" in the table. So is there a way of coding this so that no matter which column it is in, "Grade" is always updated? I suppose one solution is that we add a line that find what is the column number for "Grade"?

Option 1: Disconnect AC Shutdown Remove battery Connect AC Startup Under the Batteries category, right-click all of the Microsoft ACPI Compliant Control Method Battery listings, and select Uninstall (it’s ok if you only have 1). Shutdown Disconnect AC Insert battery Connect AC Startup Option 2: Turn off laptop. Unplug AC power. Remove battery. Replace AC power. Turn on laptop, allow OS to boot. Once logged in to the machine, perform a normal shut down. Unplug AC power. Replace battery. Replace AC power. Turn on laptop, allow OS to boot. • nVidia Control Panel Won't Recognize SLI

  So yesterday I bought a brand new, 1,000W PSU to replace my 650W one and to allow for SLI. I install it and my second card (both are GTX 560 ti cards). I reinstalled my drivers and my system recognizes both cards. The control panel says "GTX 560 ti x2", I can select between them for Physx, sound output, picture output (although I only have one hooked up to my monitor), etc. But the kicker is I can't turn on SLI. Everything I've read says I'll get a balloon notification saying I can use SLI and the control panel will have a new section, etc, but none of those things happens. Anyone have any ideas? System: Win7 Professional x64 2x GTX 560 ti 3.1 GHz Intel Core i5 1,000W Xion PSU 8GB RAM (Can't think of my motherboard right now) Note: My PSU and MOBO both say they're SLI certified and I'm using an SLI bridge.   Hi all :) Here is my architecture : I have a main server and 4 replica (the servers are synchronized with snapshot replication). The replication is working fine, except for one thing : during the replication a lot of SELECT request on one of the replica fail with a time-out. Here are my questions : Can I avoid these time-out ? If I can't : how can I detect the start and the end of the replication to redirect all the request on one of the replica to the main ? Their contents are: file.part01.rar: myfolder (is a folder) data.cab -- file.part02.rar: myfolder (is a folder) data.cab <- file.part03.rar: myfolder (is a folder) data.cab <- file.part04.rar: difffolder (is a folder) anfolder (is a folder) data.cab <- file.part05.rar: myfolder (is a folder) data.cab <-- I want to extract it, so I right-click on "file.part01.rar" and select "Extract to ...". It extract 3 files, but in part 4, WinRAR said: "CRC. This file is currput." I think it problem is in the folders name in part04.rar. Is there anyway to rename folders in part04.rar? and cut "data.cab" from "afolder" to "difffolder". I really need it!! it is very emergency!!!!!!!! Thank you .....

  I am using Windows 7 and I am looking for a list of the different parameters to use in the Target line of a shortcut in Windows Explorer. For example: /n forces it to open a new window, even if it duplicates a window that is already open. /e uses Windows Explorer view (multi-paned) /root,X restricts Explorer to showing only the contents of file folder X (and its sub-folders) /select,Y automatically selects Y (either a file or folder). What other parameters exist? I have been searching online and cannot find anything.

• What methods should save/load a game state

  There are a lot of articles about how to save a state of a game and they are pretty good. But I have one conceptual misunderstanding where should I save the state? My game has number of screens and pair of them are MainMenuScreen and MainSceneScreen these are inherited from Screen class. MainMenuScreen is shown at start of the game the MainSceneScreen little later. What is the problem? I navigated to MainSceneScreen, forced Android to stop the application (I change a language settings on the device to achieve it, please let me know if I'm wrong). After that I select the application again and I can see MainMenuScreen is shown. But I want MainSceneScreen to be shown. I suppose I should override resume method. But what class I should override? I have class PsGame that extends Game class of libgdx. I put breakpoints to its resume method and it turned out that method was not called. I investigated the problem and I've found little strange code in onResume method of AndroidApplication class of libgdx: if (!firstResume) graphics.resume(); else firstResume = false; My debugger said firstResume was true and didn't go to *graphics.resume()*line. Sorry for a lot of words but could you answer following question: What did I do wrong? What methods should I override? Thank you in advance.

  I'm developing a desktop application using Java. My application will run in a network environment where multiple users will access the same database through the application. There will be basic CRUD opreations (Insert, Update, Delete, & select), which means there will be chances of deadlock, or two users trying to update the same record at same time. I'm using the following Java Swing for Clients (MVC). MySQL Server for database (InnODB). Java Web start. Now, MySQL is centralized on the network, and all of the clients connect to it. The Application for ERP Purpose. I searched the internet to find a very good solution to ensure data integrity & to make sure that when updating one record from one client, other clients are aware of it. I read about Socket-server-client & RESTful web services. I don't want to go web application & don't want to use any extra libraries. So how can I handle this scenario: If User A updates a record: Is there a way to update User B's screen with the new value? If user A starts updating a record, how can I prevent other users from attempting to update the same record?

• How can I boot Ubuntu 10.04 on my MacBook Pro from a USB hard drive?

  I installed Ubuntu 10.04 to my MacBook Pro (not the latest gen with i7, but one before that) on an external, USB harddrive (GRUB installed to the external as well). When I hold down the option key to try to select the external, it doesn't show up. After some looking around, my understanding is that it won't boot 'unsupported' operating system from an external drive. I have ran OSX from an external when I upgraded my harddrive. What can I do (or is it even possible) to allow my MacBook Pro to boot the Ubuntu drive?

  I am trying to install a multifunctional printer Laserjet M1212nf MFP on Ubuntu 12.04. I downloaded and install the hplip indicated by the official web site. At the end of the installation I chose reboot the whole system and next I call hp-setup in the terminal (as normal user and then as root). After select in the dialog box my printer I got the following error: Searching... I was not getting the expected results. I did some googlng and didn’t find a solution, but I did run across a reference to SYSDATE. I tried SYSDATE in my queries and got the expected results. I did a TO_CHAR on the two date fields and found they returned different times. CURRENT_DATE returned the time from my laptop which was  in the EDT time zone. SYSDATE returned the time from the database server which happened to be in the PDT time zone. I guess if both the database server and my laptop were in the same time zone I would not have seen any problem. Here is the query I ran to display the two fields. select to_char(current_date,'DD-MON-YY HH:MI:SS'), to_char(sysdate,'DD-MON-YY HH:MI:SS') from dual; As you can see from the screen shot from SQL Developer they definitely returned different times. I’m sure there is some command or setting you can use to prevent this problem, but for me the take away is to use SYSDATE in your queries when you want to do any date comparison.

• Write DAX queries in Report Builder #ssrs #dax #ssas #tabular

  If you use Report Builder with Reporting Services, you can use DAX queries even if the editor for Analysis Services provider does not support DAX syntax. In fact, the DMX editor that you can use in Visual Studio editor of Reporting Services (see a previous post on that), is not available in Report Builder. However, as Sagar Salvi commented in this Microsoft Connect entry, you can use the DAX query text in the query of a Dataset by using the OLE DB provider instead of the Analysis Services one. I think it’s a good idea to show the steps required. First, create a DataSet using the OLE DB connection type, and provide the connection string the provider (Provider), the server name (Data Source) and the database name (Initial Catalog), such as: Provider=MSOLAP;Data Source=SERVERNAME\\TABULAR;Initial Catalog=AdventureWorks Tabular Model SQL 2012 Then, create a Dataset using the data source previously defined, select the Text query type, and write the DAX code in the Query pane: You can also use the Query Designer window, that doesn’t provide any particular help in writing the DAX query, but at least can show a preview of the result of the query execution. • Powershell BitLocker Recovery Key

  I'm trying to get a list of all computers that have a bit locker recovery key (or information for that matter) populated in their respective fields in AD. I am unable to even start on a script as I don't know where to begin. • Windows scheduled task not running

  I have several SQL server backups on a server. I have created a batch file which then copies these to network drives. These are mapped to the server, and it works properly. Now, I've created a scheduled task to do this. If I select "run the task when logged in", I can test the task. It works fine. However I cannot test it with the other option "run task if logged in or not". I've read that testing this task is not possible manually. However the task runs when we log off the server automatically.

• Customizing the NUnit GUI for data-driven testing

  My test project consists of a set of input data files which is fed into a piece of legacy third-party software. Since the input data files for this software are difficult to construct (not something that can be done intentionally), I am not going to add new input data files. Each input data file will be subject to a set of "test functions". Some of the test functions can be invoked independently. Other test functions represent the stages of a sequential operation - if an earlier stage fails, the subsequent stages do not need to be executed. I have experimented with the NUnit parametrized test case (TestCaseAttribute and TestCaseSourceAttribute), passing in the list of data files as test cases. I am generally satisfied with the the ability to select the input data for testing. However, I would like to see if it is possible to customize its GUI's tree structure, so that the "test functions" become the children of the "input data". For example: File #1 CheckFileTypeTest GetFileTopLevelStructureTest CompleteProcessTest StageOneTest StageTwoTest StageThreeTest File #2 CheckFileTypeTest GetFileTopLevelStructureTest CompleteProcessTest StageOneTest StageTwoTest StageThreeTest This will be useful for identifying the stage that failed during the processing of a particular input file. Is there any tips and tricks that will enable the new tree layout? Do I need to customize NUnit to get this layout?

• Keyboard doesn't let me press certain keys at the same time

  I'm not sure how to word the problem other than I can't use certain keys at the same time. For example, when playing games that require you to use the arrow keys to move and jump/duck I am unable to move to the left and jump (left arrow + up arrow) at the same time. As a result, I don't play many games when I get to a point where the jumps and what not are too far. This happens with other keys as well. In FPS I am unable to hold W to move forward and hit 2 to select my secondary weapon. Some information that might help you: I am using Windows 7 64-bit I am using a Micro Innovations KB565BL keyboard How can I fix this?

• Tweaking log4net Settings Programmatically

  A few months ago, I had to dynamically add a log4net appender at runtime.  Now I find myself in another log4net situation.  I need to modify the configuration of my appenders at runtime. My client requires all files generated by our applications to be saved to a specific location.  This location is determined at runtime.  Therefore, I want my FileAppenders to log their data to this specific location – but I won't know the location until runtime so I can't add it to the XML configuration file I'm using. No problem.  Bing is my new friend and returned a couple of hits.  I made a few tweaks to their LINQ queries and created a generic extension method for ILoggerRepository (just a hunch that I might want this functionality somewhere else in the future – sorry YAGNI fans): public static void ModifyAppenders<T>(this ILoggerRepository repository, Action<T> modify) where T:log4net.Appender.AppenderSkeleton { var appenders = from appender in log4net.LogManager.GetRepository().GetAppenders() where appender is T select appender as T;   foreach (var appender in appenders) { modify(appender); appender.ActivateOptions(); } } Now I can easily add the proper directory prefix to all of my FileAppenders at runtime: log4net.LogManager.GetRepository().ModifyAppenders<FileAppender>(a => { a.File = Path.Combine(settings.ConfigDirectory, Path.GetFileName(a.File)); }); Thanks beefycode and Wil Peck. • Materialized View does not import properly when importing on a second instance of a database

• ubuntu box just redisplaying login screen after update

  My Ubuntu 12.04 box has been working fine. A recent update may have messed something up. I normally run remote windows on it, and I noticed that my windows were failing to start up. I then tried logging into it directly from the GUI console, and I'm seeing that after I press enter on the (valid) password, the page just redisplays. It's not a password error, as that would give me an inline error. I see some messages appear and disappear quickly between the login screen going away and then redisplaying, but they go away too quickly to read. I was able to run the non-gui login, and I did an update and upgrade, and then rebooted, but it's doing the same thing. I have a Samba connection from my Windows box, and that's still working. If it matters, here's my uname output (somewhat elided): Linux ... 3.2.0-26-generic #41-Ubuntu SMP Thu Jun 14 17:49:24 UTC 2012 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux What can I do to troubleshoot this? Note that when I select "Guest Session", it lets me log in and displays the window manager. This seems significant to me. Does this mean that something specific to my login is causing it to fail? • How do I get Thunderbird to open an ICS attachment directly in Lightning's calendar?

  I'm using Mozilla Thunderbird 9.0.1 with Lightning 1.1.1. Is there an easier way to import an ICS file attached to an email than saving it to disk, then in Calendar going to File -- Open? If I select "Open with Thunderbird" from the save dialog, it just opens a new mail message and attaches the file to it. (I did see this older question, but it refers to much older versions of Thunderbird and Lightning) Update: I've updated to 10.0 and 1.2, respectively and it still doesn't work right.   One of the nice things about SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) is that you can highlight a table name in a script and press Alt + F1 to perform sp_help on it. Unfortunately I've never been able to use that feature as the majority of the tables in our product belong to a schema other than dbo.    On a long train journey back to York I wondered if I could solve this problem by writing my own replacement for sp_help (which I’ve called sp_help_table_schemas).  My version works by first checking the system tables to find out which schemas the table belongs to SELECT s.Name   --Find the schema FROM sys.schemas s  JOIN sys.tables t on t.schema_id = s.schema_id  WHERE t.name = 'Orders'It then dynamically calls the standard sp_help method but this time supplying the table owner as well.SET @cmd = 'EXEC sp_help ''' + QUOTENAME(@SchemaName) + '.' + QUOTENAME(@ObjectName) + ''' ;' ;           EXEC ( @cmd )Once I had proved the basics worked I wrapped it up into a stored procedure and deployed it to the master database on my laptop.  It was then just a question of going into Tools à Options within SSMS and defining the keyboard short cutA couple of notes You can’t amend the existing Alt+F1 entry to I went with Ctrl+F1.  You need to open new query window for the change to be picked upSo I can now highlight a table name and press Ctrl+F1 The completed script is attached.   Thanks go to Martin Bell who reviewed my stored procedure and give some valuable advice.

• How can I disable Ctrl+Shift+Arrow from causing my screen to flip?

  Windows 7 Home Premium, Catalyst Control Center. Without any apparent reason, after booting my PC, I got this little balloon "HD 4600 Drivers updated". I did not install any new cards or drivers or anything. But now, when I try to select an entire word by pressing Ctrl + Shift + ? / ? my screen flips left to right and upside down. Where can I disable this annoying shortcut? OR Any other way of selecting the entire word? There is no option for this in Catalyst Control Center.
